Welcome to Medietas and our first ever Test Drive Meme! As we approach the grand opening of the game on April 1st, we thought we’d kick things off with a little something that will get you all interacting in the new setting! And it’s one less sample you have to worry about on your application if you’re considering our little game here.

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You’ve just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a … floating boat, with people you may or may not know? You can’t help but ponder what’s going on here, but the vessel seems to be approaching a harbor and when it docks, some lovely locals are standing in wait to greet you. After that they hand you a map and communications device and invite you to find your accommodations and explore.

2. Party, party!: On the evening of your first night in the city, a party is being thrown on Aerilon in honor of your arrival. Eat, mingle, dance, meet the other new arrivals! The locals put on quite the celebration!

3. Go Exploring!: There's plenty of places to explore, be it in your designated housing area, or on one of the adjoining community islands! Hike the mountains in Eurus. Sit on the beaches of Imber with a cocktail, or go swimming. Adventure in the forests of Mundus. Be careful though! Every area has it's dangers.

4. The Bells Are Ringing!: And that means a islands wide warning that something dangerous is approaching! But where the heck are they coming from? Nevermind that, the caretakers rally the children and the senior citizens while Scykal, Imber's local sea monster, emerges from the large body of water on the island.  Interesting.  He hasn't been spotted in a long time.  Help the locals defeat him!

[The energy is high, and it does more to leave Tommy buzzed than the sweet wine and potent ale being offered.

At first, he sits on the fringes and watches the dancing, listens to the strange, bright melodies being played around fires and tables. Soon, he's allowing himself to be tugged into the crowds full off laughing, dancing bodies.

And, not long after that, he's got a bottle of ale in hand and fire dancing at his fingertips, clearing the gathering throngs as he takes mouthfuls of ale, lifts his own burning fingers, and breathes fire for the cheering masses until he's too sweaty and exhausted to continue.

When that moment comes, of course, there's more of that sweet, chilled wine to cool him down again.]

Paige was never the kind to turn down a party. She lived for them actually. She was more of a wallflower when she was with her sisters, but they were not here at the moment, so she had a glass of wine in her hand and she was watched the dancers. Her eyebrow quirked as she watched Tommy, the firebreather.

She was too intrigued not to introduce herself, so she danced her way towards the man. Soon, she was moving her body languidly along with the music.

Sam studied the map in his hand like a man lost in thought. One second he'd been in Hell about to be attacked by Lucifer and the next he was here, a bit worse for wear but otherwise fine. He stepped of the boat and looked around kind of awe struck. "Is this my new Heaven," he muttered.

"God I hope not," Paige said from directly behind Sam. "You most certainly deserve someplace better than this Sam Winchester." Paige had her arms lightly crossed in front of her. Paige didn't have that ethereal look about her at all. In fact, she looked downright normal.

The first thing he's aware of is a familiar sound, the sound of water lapping against the hull of a ship. A quick look around at his location confirms that that's in fact where he is, and he doesn't see anyone he recognizes, but it was just a quick look. It's possible he missed someone. He'll engage in conversation with someone nearby, or stand quietly if that's what they prefer.

He waits patiently until the boat docks, then takes what he's handed. He takes a moment to peruse the map, then moves out of the way of anyone else who's coming along and flicks on the communication device. "Hello? Can anyone answer a few questions for me?"

The redhead sat back in her seat opposite her shipmate, who was busily trying to find out what the hell was happening, and regarded him with a pretty, completely ironic glance.

"Don't waste good battery life on such futility," she remarked, her blue eyes fully trained upon the stranger as she folded her arms and looked Neal over sagely.

Sitting on the beach is a monkey, which in any other place might seem a bit weird, but here maybe not so much. He is scampering along the beach digging here and there in the sand for something only he knows. The odd thing about this monkey though it it seems to be watching the other people on the beach with a human like twinkle in it's eyes. What on earth is going on?

Thea tossed the monkey a cracker in case this was a harmless one. She had been watching the dock all day in case she was given a break and this place decided to bring her the handful that cared about her from Oliver and Roy to Felicity, Laurel and Dig.

[After some adjustment and grumbling on his end, Henry settled at the party, spending it as he had the final months of his marriage to Anne. Planted on the side lines, he watched as various women (partnered by dull men) swirled about the room. The music and atmosphere managing to soothe his temper. He was away from home, away from his kingdom, but the cheer around him had a way of softening the blow.

Downing his drink, he circled about the room, analyzing and deciding what he would do first. Dance or another drink? The night was young and there was the potential for a pleasant night.]

[Rebekah was feeling a little grumbly herself as she entered the party and paused to take it in. She adored parties, she really did but she wasn't really in the mood. Not under the circumstances. So she wasn't really planning on staying for long before she would head back to the home that was supposedly assigned to her. She would have to make connections soon enough, she knew that, but there was no rush.

Murmuring softly to someone, she eased past as she walked along the edge of the dance floor.]

Older Luke Skywalker l Those Movies about a War l Bells

Luke sense something was wrong a second or two before the bells started ringing. For a moment he considered letting the locals handle it, whatever it was, but he could almost hear Leia's voice in his head admonishing him for even daring to sit still.

So he moved to his feet much after then a man of his age should and headed to where the locals seemed to be gathering lightsaber held loosely in one hand.

Akabane had heard the bells and was making his way towards the gathering crowd. His long coat fluttering around him as he came in stride by the older man. He spared a look over at the other from under the brim of his hat.

"Good afternoon." He spoke in a calm friendly manner while smiling. His violet eyes looking to the man's weapon more than anything else. "Fascinating item your holding."

Derek Hale | TEEN WOLF (AU)| Prompt 3

[Derek has no idea what to make of this place...but he has to admit to himself, with some reluctance: he loves the woods.

It's not the first run he's taken on Mundus since his arrival, and it won't be the last. Fully shifted, he runs without restraint in animal form, flushing small animals from their nests and burrows, chasing rodents up trees and thrilling in the wind as it blows through his thick black coat.

Anyone that comes across him in the woods will find a large black wolf with glowing red eyes, running at full tilt or slowing to a trot...maybe just sunning itself in a bright patch of light on the forest floor.

...unless, of course, you catch him at the end of his run, in which case you'll find a scruffy, muscular, bare naked young man in the woods, trying to remember where he left his clothes.]

Nearby, Allison is biting back a laugh as she ducks under a branch while clutching Derek's clothes against her chest. She knows it won't be long till he catches on and comes looking for her but that is half the fun. Hell, that is all of the fun.]

He knew who she was...of course he did her parent's tale had been his brain child and he'd overseen every moment of the story...well until Cora had captured him that is. He leaned against a post watching the new arrivals with eyes too old to be human. "I know it doesn't look like much, but at least try to aim your magic in the right direction.

[This world was so different than Westeros, but the beauty of it was undeniable. With the stress and constant questions about her safety, motivations, and status gone, Margaery found little to occupy herself with, save for exploring. She wasn't a Queen in this world and the High Sparrow no longer held her as prisoner. She could breathe the free air and surround herself with the light and nature that had been denied to her.

In a way, it was almost a relief, save for that nagging voice at the back of her head, begging for revenge.

It would have to wait. The woods and the beach would be distraction enough. She had freedom and intended to cherish it for the day. No matter the dangers that might be lurking just beyond the shadows.]

[The smell of the sea is something that has always meant freedom to Sansa and she finds herself drawn there, wanting to see the waves crash against the shore instead of being cooped up inside a tower. Her freedom is something too new to be commonplace - she has been in towers for the better part of the two years it's been since she's left King's landing.

For a moment, she thinks she recognizes someone. It's the scent of roses on the air, a gentle fall of curls catching the light - it takes her a little while to realize that yes, it is Margaery Tyrell and she's not simply imagining it.]

You're an awful long way from Highgarden, my lady.

[Her voice is gentle and teasing, light in the way birdsong is on a summer afternoon and it's been a long while since she's sounded like this.]

One minute Kristen was landing against Jim Gordon's desk the next she was on a boat and covered in bruises. "Well things can't get much stranger." she mused when she realized not only was she banged up but her glasses were cracked. "Excuse me?" came the female voice trying to find her way,"Anyone able to help? Cracked glasses and can't exactly see at the moment."

She's been here for a few days now, and while she can't say she's particularly settled in, she's at least familiar with the vicinity around her accommodations. She hadn't really ever gotten settled in anywhere until Henry took her to Storybrooke, and she supposes this place will be the same way. It can't really be home without her family here, after all. She already misses Henry more than she had ever thought it was possible to miss anyone. Just when she'd finally found a home, she was taken from it and ended up here instead.

She's out for a walk today, drawn to the lake for reasons she hasn't really cared to think too hard about, when suddenly there's panic and shouting and a giant creature emerging from the water. And here's Emma Swan, who instead of turning and fleeing to safety like a normal person would do, turning and facing down the monster like the savior is expected to do. A fireball emerges from her palm and she readies it to aim at the monster.

She can do this.

When it hits the beach it turns from a bird into a very handsome young man who winces as he sits up. "Ow...that thing packs a punch."

[The peace and tranquility of the island was interrupted by the sound of the bells ringing. The heralding signaled an end to Selene's meditation and contemplation. Danger was coming, lurking behind them and threatening that calm that she had come to cherish. Pulling her swords from her sheaths, she steadied herself, watching over the horizon for whatever threat was coming.

Her hands tightened and gripped the hilts of the blades, a snarl rising to her lips. She hadn't had a good fight in a long while.

She would enjoy this one immensely.]

[Rebekah was tense as she listened to the bells cutting through the stillness that had surrounded them all only moments before. So far she couldn't see the reason for them and that made her uneasy. Shifting from one foot to another, she scanned the horizon as she considered what to do.

Spotting a brunette nearby, she moved closer, noting the blades while wishing that she had one of her own. Once she was close enough, she looked around again.]

As Belle steps off the barge, her eyes roam over the horizon of the island, soaking in its vast expanses and beautiful scenery. Her destination had been New York City, directed by Gold, offered as a means of escape from whatever was happening in Storybrooke.

Apparently, somewhere along the way, she had taken a wrong turn and suddenly appeared in this world. Was it by portal or magic? It wasn't clear. All she could see was that she was lost...

...and there was no sign of a way home.]

[Red stood looking out over the water, and down the beach. Her eyes drifted to the forest. One moment she was talking to Snow about going back to the Forrest, and the next moment she was on a boat here. It was some sort of island to be sure, but she could feel her senses heightening and the Wolf was simmering just below the surface.

She smiled a bit. She used to be afraid of the Wolf, afraid to let it out, for fear of hurting someone she loved again. Not this time though. She could feel excitement humming beneath the surface, and she unclasped her cloak, letting it fall to the ground.

She transformed and took off, sand kicking up around her. She couldn't help but howl softly, as she sprinted towards the forest. ]

Claire was quiet as she slipped through the crowd, drink in hand. She wasn't sure what to make of this new place or the people around her but she was keeping an eye out for familiar faces. She was hoping to run into someone from home but she also knew there was a good chance it wouldn't happen. She hadn't seen anyone from home for a long time.

So she was looking for friendly faces while making sure her own expression was friendly. Every once in awhile, she would pause and sip her drink.

Parties are very much one of Kol's elements. He feels at home in the crowd of people, drink in hand, mingling. He's always been a social creature, needed the interaction with others in ways some of his siblings might have considered excess.

He doesn't notice the lithe blonde until he bumps into her, "Sorry," he mutters, more reflex than anything. "My fault, darling."

[She's been told that the forest was dangerous. Hell, she'd known that before or at least... well, she's been told that countless times. It doesn't stop her from going off through the forest of Mundus. Times like this she wished that she had her baseball bat. Something to at least defend herself with. Although, she wasn't thinking about it because there was so much to explore, danger be damned.]

[Allison was just making her way back towards town when she spotted the girl nearby. At first, she wasn't going to pay her any mind but something about her had Allison slowing down and stopping for a moment. She didn't even know why.]

She is not proud of herself for appearing human. There is nothing wrong with her born-form, after all, and she has spent years in cities appearing perfectly as herself. From the waist up, a young woman (aside from her equine ears), and from the waist down a young mare.

And yet, currently, she looks human. Sometimes, even a proud centaur can decide to be discreet. Sometimes, they can even follow rules - and truth be told, that's more what decided her. Not that she objects to breaking rules, but it always pays not to start off breaking them.

So Roshanak attends the party dressed in the layers of a well-to-do human woman of the Persian Empire, her skirt yellow and her jacket blue. She's not dancing (indeed, the only way she knows involves four legs), but she's watching the crowd and eating, a little.

If she happens to move a little oddly, as if perhaps out of practice at having her centre of gravity placed thus. Well. Maybe she'll explain. Maybe not, too.

But her gait is one reason why she's brought her staff with her. She can fight with it, yes, but currently, the long piece of wood is serving as balance.

Sansa had once enjoyed parties but now she is wary of them. Weddings in King's Landing tend to be frightening affairs with at least one death attached and while she knows of no one being married today, she still wants to keep to the edges of the party in case swords are loosed.

Still, she is still a girl beneath it all and she loves to dance. Her feet seem to take her in that direction even if she thinks it's imprudent and it's when she's deciding whether or not she wants to take the plunge that she brushes against the girl with the lovely hair and even lovelier skirt.

Arrival

"Whoawhoa! What the fuck is this?"

Having just woke up, King's words are drawled out and it's clear he's feeling too groggy yet to really take in his surroundings. All he remembers is where he was last and.. this wasn't that place.

He makes his way above deck and looks around in pure astonishment. King's voice slipped to an almost panicked one.

"... Abby?"

Party!

King hadn't quite accepted his relocation. It was all too bizarre to be real and he was totally convinced that this was all some off the wall dream after falling on his face from exhaustion.

After finding his house, and a few of his things there from back home, King found the party invite on his table. He started talking to himself like someone was there, his tone carrying how he usually would talk to anyone he knew.

"Always did love a good party. Course it'd be better going with you, but you know, since you're not here I might as well go find me a new best friend. And maybe a girlfriend..."

Gathering his jacket, he headed to town and wandered the festivities.

"Nope. It's Claire." The voice commented from his left where he would spy a petite blonde sitting on some crates.

Claire had come to just a little while before but she was still trying to get her bearings. Of course, she had experience with this kind of thing and so she was probably taking it better than most. Mostly, she was kind of interested more in the whole flying boat thing and the fact that it was heading towards some floating islands.

Or at least she had been till the new guy came bursting out of nowhere in a panic. She offered small smile as though to comfort him, tilting her head to the side. "I take it you just woke up?"

[Another island.

Felicity wasn't really sure that she appreciated being shuffled off to another island; after all, the business she owned and the things she'd had before had been enough to keep her happy for a quite some time. Now that she and Nick were headed off to this... wherever, she was a little miffed at having to start over. Or maybe it was just the hormones.

Being handed a device like the one she'd had before (and left behind) was a new thing. She'd been told there were no natives on the island they'd been going to and now this? It didn't even look like the previous islands they'd passed. Stepping off the boat, she turned in a slow circle before staring at the map. Nope, definitely not where she was supposed to be but, hey. Maybe that wasn't a bad thing.]

[Part of the journey of being a hero was pushing through the impossible but Oliver wasn't certain how to push through this. Everything he'd ever wanted had been dangled in front of him - the mayorship, Felicity as his wife, a happiness that meant that he could keep his city safe and be with the ones he loved - and it had all been taken away just as quickly. Arriving here was just one more wrench in the machine, one more distraction from the mess that was his life.

As he stepped off the boat, he wondered where he'd start. He'd have to build himself up anew, become someone else, take on another mantle. He'd done it over and over, reinvention, and it wasn't as daunting a task as it might be for most. One foot in front of the other. Except...]

[The one thing the little witch had noticed on the floating boat was the feel of magic. That there was something different about this. Something very off. It doesn't, however, stop her from taking the communication device and map giving the locals a smile as she does. No need to frighten anyone off.

With that she gives a nod and moves off to explore the land. She'd rather do that then find her accommodations.]

[Kol only barely managed to clean himself up from that romp in the alley before anyone on the boat could have noticed. But he'd noticed her, last second as they were all ushered off the boat, and he barely heard the locals' explanations of things as he weaves through the group to get to her.]

Abby had avoided the whole party scene the night before in favor of just going to her assigned house and that was where she had spent the night. The next morning, she could be found sitting in front of her very colorfully blue townhouse. She had already done a bit of exploring but she really didn't want to venture too far, just in case King or even Blade popped up somewhere.

It crossed her mind that the island(s) were big and that her friend could show up anywhere but she was trying to be hopeful.

Since his arrival, Steve's been meaning to do some exploring of his own. The party the previous night was...well, kind of hard to get away from, but today was a new day, and the perfect time for a little recon.

...and, given the gorgeous vistas visible outside his town house window, maybe a little sketching.

With a moleskine notebook foraged from a drawer and an adequate pencil, Steve exits his own townhouse in dark slacks and a buttondown shirt--not all that different from the fashions he favored back home, save for the simpler, vivid solid colors that were eerily complimentary to his bright blue eyes.

Pausing outside his door, he surveyed the terrain...and caught sight of the lithe young woman outside the townhouse next to his.

Not doing much of anything, from the look of it.

Hoping to be friendly, he smiles and raises a hand in greeting as he calls out.

"Howdy, neighbor!"

Sansa Stark | Game of Thrones | 3

Sansa doesn't pray any longer. She doesn't pray but she's found that people often don't disturb her in the Godswood and when she needs time away from parties and the crush of people begging her attentions and wanting her favors, the quiet of the woods is a balm to her weary soul.

It's only natural that she finds herself there now, along the edge of the treeline, and she wonders if she'll ever come to think of this place as home. She's far-flung, a Stark no longer in Winterfell, and she hardly knows what to do with herself any longer.

Perhaps unexpected among the trees, Sansa would hear the sound of a flute being played--a slow, somewhat bittersweet melody--and if she were to investigate, she would find it coming from not only a short distance away, but from up above, in a tree. A long-haired young man sat there, sitting casually on a stout limb with his back against the trunk, dressed in clothes of an unfamiliar style but, at a glance, of fine quality, and wearing a pensive expression.

Naoto Shirogane - Persona 4 - BATTLE TIME.

Naoto is never going to shrink from a fight. She might usually be an investigator, but when you are given powers to fight, you can't just run away from the fights.

A step or two back from the melee fighters is a tiny figure, with a fairly large pistol. Every so often, she'll summon a blue, shining Tarot card and shoot it with her gun. Out of the card comes a tall, regal figure with wings attatched to its hands.

Yamato-Takeru is throwing spells, both physical and magical at the creature, while Naoto shoots it every so often.

Anyone care to help her?

Yeah, but is Naoto expecting an unmistakable Ziodyne earthing itself in the monster?

Kanji still ain't real clear on what's going on here, but a familiar face is definitely a good thing, and on top of that, this is a fight. Fights he knows what to do with. They beat the crap outta the monster and everything works out.

Seras Victoria || Hellsing || Party!

Parties weren't something that Seras went to a lot back home. She tended to stand out at them now, since her left arm seemed to blend right in with any shadows that happen to be there. Just about any time she turned around, there was someone offering her a snack or something to drink.

"No, thank you," was repeated more than she cared to count as she wandered, hoping to catch a glimpse of her Master or even Sir Integra. She didn't see them on the ship when she woke up, and she hadn't been able to find them in the city either. She hoped that they were all right. Sir Integra could take care of herself. Alucard on the other hand, might just try and level the place trying to find Integra or a way of getting back to her if he was actually here. She really hoped that they were both back home and safe.

A man was making his way through the crowds he was looking for the exit. He dressed a lot like Alucard, only in a darker verity. All black aside from his white suit shirt under the long coat. He had a hand up holding his hat on as he made his way through the crowd, randomly saying "Excuse me. ♥" To anyone who bumped him. There were to many bodies and he wanted to get outside.

However he stopping, and smiled at the girl. Her arm had caught his eye and that was much more amusing than going outside. He stepped forward only now removing his hat which left him with messy hat hair. "Good evening, ma'am." His violet eyes looking at that arm of hers. How interesting.

[ He wonders, briefly, if this is something like what Claire went through, when she traveled through the stones. Though he has no recollection of a similar voyage. One moment, he was on the sea, nearing France, and the next - a strange ship in the air. And Claire -

Claire isn't with him. That's the hardest part, the dram that's toughest to swallow, after all they've been through, after all she told him, after that bright spark of hope in his belly, and now - he canna find her.
