Welcome to Medietas and our first ever Test Drive Meme! As we approach the grand opening of the game on April 1st, we thought we’d kick things off with a little something that will get you all interacting in the new setting! And it’s one less sample you have to worry about on your application if you’re considering our little game here.
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You’ve just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a … floating boat, with people you may or may not know? You can’t help but ponder what’s going on here, but the vessel seems to be approaching a harbor and when it docks, some lovely locals are standing in wait to greet you. After that they hand you a map and communications device and invite you to find your accommodations and explore.
2. Party, party!: On the evening of your first night in the city, a party is being thrown on Aerilon in honor of your arrival. Eat, mingle, dance, meet the other new arrivals! The locals put on quite the celebration!
3. Go Exploring!: There's plenty of places to explore, be it in your designated housing area, or on one of the adjoining community islands! Hike the mountains in Eurus. Sit on the beaches of Imber with a cocktail, or go swimming. Adventure in the forests of Mundus. Be careful though! Every area has it's dangers.
4. The Bells Are Ringing!: And that means a islands wide warning that something dangerous is approaching! But where the heck are they coming from? Nevermind that, the caretakers rally the children and the senior citizens while Scykal, Imber's local sea monster, emerges from the large body of water on the island. Interesting. He hasn't been spotted in a long time. Help the locals defeat him!
5. Wild Card!: Choose your own scenario!
Felicity Smoak ][ Arrow ] #1
Felicity wasn't really sure that she appreciated being shuffled off to another island; after all, the business she owned and the things she'd had before had been enough to keep her happy for a quite some time. Now that she and Nick were headed off to this... wherever, she was a little miffed at having to start over. Or maybe it was just the hormones.
Being handed a device like the one she'd had before (and left behind) was a new thing. She'd been told there were no natives on the island they'd been going to and now this? It didn't even look like the previous islands they'd passed. Stepping off the boat, she turned in a slow circle before staring at the map. Nope, definitely not where she was supposed to be but, hey. Maybe that wasn't a bad thing.]
Re: Felicity Smoak ][ Arrow
As he stepped off the boat, he wondered where he'd start. He'd have to build himself up anew, become someone else, take on another mantle. He'd done it over and over, reinvention, and it wasn't as daunting a task as it might be for most. One foot in front of the other. Except...]
Felicity? Is that you?
no subject
Oliver.
[It'd been a long time since she'd seen him (at least by her count) and the sight of him now made her blink. Taking him in, then motioning to the rest of the island with the map she was holding, she had to make a joke. It was a Felicity Thing.] So totally not surprised to see you on an island. [Followed by:] Why are you on an island. We. Why are we on an island?
[Well, this island.]
no subject
I don't know. I don't have the best track record with islands but I am decent at navigation so maybe I can figure out where to start.
[He reached for the map, fingertips brushing her wrist as he did.]
Can I see that?
no subject
Handing over the map when he asked for it, Felicity looked around again.] I don't know that it's going to help. I don't recognize this at all.
[OOC: She IS an AU from another game, just an fyi :D]
no subject
What's the last thing you remember, Felicity?
[Oliver knew the last thing he remembered but since Felicity seemed...okay with him if a little confused, he didn't think they came from the same time. That was weird in and of itself.]
no subject
Between us? [The was a can of worms. She remembered quite clearly how he'd told her that he couldn't be with her while standing in the hospital and telling her he loved her. Men were ridiculous, all of them. And then? Ray. Another mess.] Or... Starling City. Nyssa told you Ra's' deadline for finding Sara's killer.
[She might have been a little behind the times.]
no subject
[Those things had happened what felt like a lifetime ago and Oliver had to recalibrate. This wasn't the Felicity who had traveled the world with him, wasn't the woman who had settled down with him in Ivy Town and had made him consider hanging up his bow forever. Hmm.]
Oh...a lot has happened since then. I wonder how that managed to happen? We both come here but you don't have half the memories I have? Doesn't make sense.
no subject
What do you remember last?
[She was a little afraid to ask.]
no subject
[Oliver weighed whether or not to tell her. Telling her might be more cruel than keeping it to himself but half the reason their engagement had fallen apart had been because he wouldn't tell her things. He decided he was going to be honest. Felicity didn't have his memories, true, but she was still the same person. She would want the honesty. He knew that now.]
You broke up with me.
no subject
We were dating?
no subject
[Oliver swallowed a bit, clearly uncomfortable. It was something he didn't feel was entirely fair to dump on Felicity when she had no knowledge of it but, again, honesty. He had to be honest. Reserving himself and keeping secrets from her had destroyed what they had.]
Engaged, actually.

Re: Felicity Smoak ][ Arrow ] #1
He does however catch a scent of something very familiar, and screeches to a halt, hopping a little, since he wasn't wearing his suit. ]
Felicity? What're you doing here? [This of course came out as one sentence. ]
no subject
[NOT what she was expecting and, given the way he was bouncing, not what he'd been expecting, either. Looking him over to make sure he wasn't actually on fire, she took a breath.]
I don't know yet. [Yet being the key word.] Do you know what you're doing here?
no subject
You're alright? I'm sorry it's been so long. I don't know... yet.... you want to help me find out?
no subject
[Nick was just accepting his own communication device and map before he glanced over to catch sight of her turning in a circle. She looked as confused as he felt but he was relieved to see that she was still okay. He just wanted things to stay that way too. Especially since he had a feeling that this wasn't at all what they had planned.
Moving to her side, he tucked the device into his back pocket before reaching to rest a hand on the small of her back.]
Are you okay?
no subject
I'm fine. I mean, not fine-- what is this place? [She held up the map with one hand and the device she'd been given with the other.] I thought there weren't going to be devices or natives on the new island. [Leaning into his touch, she looked around.] And I don't recognize most of these people.
no subject
I don't think this is the same island. Or at least, it's not run by the same Goddess or whatever. [He looked almost hesitant to say it as he shifted to wrap an arm around her shoulders to keep her against his side.] I think we might have gotten pulled somewhere new.
no subject
She said we'd go home, Nick. If we wanted to. Not-- whatever this is. [Her hand went to her stomach and she took a breath. Leaning against him, she looked around again.] I know it's bad luck, but. It can't be any worse than the last place, right?
no subject
I know it's not home but at least we're together, right? [His eyes flicker down to the sight of her hand resting over her belly and he can't stop himself this time from reaching out to slide his hand over hers.] Let's hope it's not. I've noticed we don't the collars though, so that's a big difference already.
no subject
[His hand covering hers helps and she covers his with her other hand and closes her eyes. She'd hoped to be raising their baby in the (relative) safety of Star
lingCity and with the detour, she's suddenly very afraid that their child will be subject to the whims of another... being and that they'll lose the chance to raise it. Together.Looking up at him, she has to admit:] Collar or not, I wasn't going to share you with anyone.
no subject
[Then he straightens with an amused look, looking more pleased than not with the statement. Now he eases his arms around her, drawing her into an embrace as he smiles a little more.] That's fine by me. I wasn't really inclined to share you either.
no subject
I'm glad to hear it. [Closing her eyes for a moment, she takes a deep breath and steadies herself before opening them again and taking in the crowds.] Do you have any idea where we go from here?
no subject
[He looks at the people handing out the maps and devices.] Maybe we should see if they have a device and a map for you?
no subject
I didn't stick around for the island part. [It was a sheepish confession.] The device and map upset me and I was looking for a face, anyone.
[A breath.] Where's your house?
(no subject)
