Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!
You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!
2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!
3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, or Eurus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right?
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!
kurt wagner [nightcrawler] ❧ x-men: apocalypse
[Being this close to the ocean is something entirely new to him.
Kurt's enjoying the warmth of the sunlight, the heat of the sand beneath his feet, broken only by the occasional wave that washes over his toes. He's awestruck by the blue of the water, the scent of the sea air swirling around him, giving everything that faint, salty tang.
Hesitating in his languid stroll along the shoreline, he tips his head to look up at the sky and settles his hands behind his back, fingers lacing together at the base of his tail. It's been a short amount of time since he's arrived here. While he misses his home and his friends, he has to admit that standing here, on this beach with only the crashing waves to keep him company, it's peaceful.
He's enjoying it, regardless of the disadvantage of it not being his actual home. Perhaps, if his fellow teammates or even some of his teachers were around, it would be more comfortable.
A wistful sigh passes his lips and he continues walking, the spade of his tail flicking out to graze over the surface of the water every now and then.]
no subject
The first thing he notices is Kurt. Kurt's hard to miss. He knows that there are people here from places that are not his world, but something tells him that Kurt is. He doesn't have Charles' ability to detect mutants, but he's picked up a few tricks along the way.]
Nice day for it.
[Every day here is a nice day.]
no subject
Still, he draws his head up and glances toward Erik, iridescent eyes blinking in bewilderment. The last time he had seen the man was when he had left the school, headed off to only God knows where, leaving most - if not all - of them to wonder if he would ever show up again.
He turns to face him, the end of his tail flicking water droplets across the sand with a wide grin.] Fancy meeting you here, mister Lehnsherr!
no subject
I've been here a couple of months now. And you are?
no subject
Is this where you came when you left the school? I ... I'm Kurt. Kurt Wagner. [A pause.] Nightcrawler?
no subject
Did Charles start his school, then?
no subject
... ja, he did. I am one of his students.

Re: kurt wagner [nightcrawler] ❧ x-men: apocalypse
That said, he is kind of between her and her clothes, and so she has to at least acknowledge him, lifting a hand as she squeezes water out of her hair. Not much without her gauntlets marks her as a mutant; her forearms are heavily scarred, yes, but that's not indicative of much aside from having been burned, and blue hair dye is available widely. But her glowing like she's been lit from the inside sort of does mark her as abnormal. ] Hey. You new?
[ She'd like to think she'd notice someone that blue hanging around. ]
no subject
He does see the towel with the clothes on it and that's what makes him look up, golden irises scanning the area until he sees her standing there. At first, he says nothing - attention focused solely on the scars that litter her arms; he should not be staring, but he can't help that he's curious, considering he is covered in his own markings. They are different in his case, of course.
Is she ... glowing? Well, that definitely makes him wonder if she's a mutant or not. Maybe they can share tips on how to keep the blue in their hair longer?
It takes him a moment to register that she's speaking to him and he winces his eyes shut, shakes his head then brings his gaze to her face once more.] Ja, I am.
no subject
Nice hair.
[ Forgive her if she stands there to talk in an eye-searingly yellow and barely-there bikini; it's warm and sunny and she's not going to put on overclothes until she's a little more dry. ]
no subject
Thank you!
[Thank goodness, he's extremely considerate and keeps his gaze on her face, even though it doesn't keep his cheeks from flushing slightly. Perhaps, he will feel less awkward if he continues to make conversation.] What's your name, miss?
no subject
[ She's pretty okay with him not. ] What about yours, boy blue?
no subject
[Kurt will have to remember to avoid using it, then. It's odd, but he's got a thing with calling ladies 'miss'.] My name is Kurt Wagner!
no subject
Do you have another name? [ Nori would offer her hand, except that doing so would probably shock him at least a little, and she doesn't want to do that. So she sidesteps him and slips on her gauntlets, latching them to the locking ring at her elbow before she offers a sun-warmed hand. ]

Curiosity got the better of him though and he couldn't help the urge to barely lean closer to see the small child. He smiled gently, bringing his attention back to Lorna, "Ja, I am, but ... how do you know me?"
no subject
"Um, well, I know an older version of you. We were x men together."
no subject
He's tempted to ask if he can hold her, but he'd only just met the two of them, even though the woman mentioned being fellow teammates. "Really? So, I stayed with the X-Men as I got older?"

Re: kurt wagner [nightcrawler] ❧ x-men: apocalypse
He spotted a familiar blue man, smiling he stepped up next to him. ]
Hello Kurt, beautiful isn't it?
no subject
It is, ja.
[Wait. The person had said his name. He glanced from the corner of his eye and stiffened when it was someone he recognized.] P-Professor?
[The shock was obvious in his voice - both at the sight of someone he knew and the fact that the telepath was ... well, standing there.]
no subject
It's me, Kurt. I've met someone here who can apparently do the impossible. I can understand though why it would shock you. The last time I saw you I was in a sorry state wasn't I?
no subject
Someone who actually knew who he was.] We were all rather roughed up at the time.
[He stood there a moment then noticed how this was probably awkward, cleared his throat and pulled away, cheeks a vivid shade of indigo, but there was no denying the brilliance of his smile.] I cannot express how thrilled I am to see you.
[Okay, he could, but he felt like screeching for joy at the top of his lungs would ruin the serenity of their surroundings.]
