Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!

2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!

3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, or Eurus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right? Even if you have been stolen away from your homeworld to a bunch of floating islands.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

Ah, but you-- [He stops, lips pressing into a thin line, eyes narrowing with skepticism, but Erik looks absolutely serious.]

... ja, he did. I am one of his students.

[frankensteinian]

Not everyone comes here from the same point in time. [Which he knows because apparently he and Charles hadn't.] Or even from the same universe. There are other mutants here, but they're from a different version of our world than we are.

[shadowblends]

They don't? [Well, that would make sense as to why Erik had no idea who he was.] As in, different timelines or alternate universes?

[frankensteinian]

I'm not sure. Obviously we're all from worlds that have mutants in them, and some of the same people, but events happened differently in each of them.

[So if someone doesn't know what Kurt's talking about, that could be another reason.]

[shadowblends]

That means ... you and I might not be from the same time, which would make sense, considering you don't know who I am.

[Alternate timelines and universes? Sure, he could believe that. They were mutants after all, right?]

[frankensteinian]

Yes. It seems that at some point we will meet, but that has not happened for me yet.

[It's easy for him to believe, considering that he once met someone who had been sent from the future to change it. There must originally have been a different timeline there.]

[shadowblends]

I see. I would say that we could reintroduce ourselves, but I have told you my name and I already know yours.

[Now, he can stray away from the idea of possibly blurting out all the things he knows about the future. He doesn't want to spill those kinds of secrets just yet.]

So how did you end up at the school? [Up until this point, all the mutants Charles had recruited for anything had been American, and Kurt is definitely not.]

[shadowblends]

Raven brought me. [After rescuing him from mutant cage fights, but he doesn't have to explain the whole story; it's not a very pleasant one.]

[frankensteinian]

Raven brought you? I thought Charles did the recruiting.

[shadowblends]

I was ... [He pauses, trying to think of how to explain it without spilling the beans.] Let's just say I was a surprise. I didn't actually meet Charles right away when I first arrived.

[frankensteinian]

A surprise. Yes, I can imagine.

Where did she find you?

[shadowblends]

Another 'Blue' to add to the list!

Germany. Munich, to be precise.

[frankensteinian]

Blue does seem to be a common color.

Germany. I knew I recognized that accent.

[shadowblends]

It's rather nice, actually.

I was working at a circus there.

[frankensteinian]

Being blue? I don't know about that personally, but I'm glad to hear that you don't have a problem with it.

Working. [The way he says it indicates his distaste for the situation.] It is safe to assume that being on show there wasn't exactly your choice?

[shadowblends]

Oh, I meant knowing that there are other people out there who are blue. It is nice to be accepting of who I am, though.

[Kurt's features crease with confusion.] No, no! I was actually working at this circus. I ... fled from my old home - the circus I had originally been employed with when the new owner tried to put me on display. I refused and he-- [he stops, finally taking note of how his mouth has gone faster than his thoughts. Mentioning that the man had threatened to kill him probably wasn't a great idea.]

... he let me go.

[frankensteinian]

[Oh. That's not quite the answer he expected.] Were you treated well, at least?

[shadowblends]

[Whew. Well, at least Erik didn't ask him to go into detail.] Before the new owner at the old circus and at the one in Munich, I was.

[frankensteinian]

Then why did you go with Raven?

[shadowblends]

I ... [Okay, he can't lie; it's really just not in his nature.] I was taken from the circus in Munich and put into a mutant fight club. She rescued me.

[frankensteinian]

Now that sounds like humans.

[He is glad to hear though that Raven still remembers at least some of what he'd taught her. Fight for mutants.]

[shadowblends]

[He opens his mouth, hesitates then shuts it, not positive on what he's supposed to say to that.

With a shrug, Kurt glances back out at the water, tucking his arms across his chest.] Nobody is perfect, I suppose.

[frankensteinian]

No. I suppose nobody is.

So Raven rescued you and took you to the school.

[shadowblends]

Some sure try to be.
