Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

Possible Scenarios:

1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!

2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!

3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, or Eurus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right? Even if you have been stolen away from your homeworld to a bunch of floating islands.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

Then, that would mean you know the exact details of what happened. [An obvious observation, but he doesn't want to outright ask about it.]

Until we find someone who can go back in time, that isn't quite plausible just yet.

[frankensteinian]

I do. I'm guessing that Raven didn't give all the details? [Or Kurt probably would have known he was there.]

There apparently is someone who can do that. Or will be. Ten years ago, I met someone who was sent back from the future to enlist our help in changing the future.

[shadowblends]

Not exactly. We were all a bit ... preoccupied. [Sure, that seemed to be vague enough.

His eyes broaden at that, the spade of his tail sliding over his shoulder.] Do you think we will meet them in the future?

[frankensteinian]

I'll give you details if you want them.

Seeing as the future version of me was apparently one half of the duo who came up with this plan, it seems likely that at least some of us will meet whoever has this ability.

[shadowblends]

As long as you don't mind telling me.

Hold on. [Wait a minute. Does that mean Erik--] Did you meet your future self?

[frankensteinian]

I don't. [What happened with those mutants should never be forgotten.]

No. I didn't meet my future self. [Charles had, but Erik doesn't know that.]

[shadowblends]

Then, by all means, tell me everything. [That way he can understand a little better why Raven and Hank were so vague on details.]

That's slightly disappointing. It would have been interesting to meet oneself in a situation like that.

[frankensteinian]

Where would you like me to start?

Perhaps not. Things could have been worse for him. [Somehow. Erik's not sure how.] I don't think I want to know my future. It's better if I think that things could start looking up.

[shadowblends]

The beginning would probably be the best place, ja?

[He cringes at that, shoulders momentarily wilting before Erik mentions thinking of far more positive things.] It's always better to view things with a bit of optimism!

[frankensteinian]

[Some parts of it he doesn't like to talk about as much as others, but he'll do his best.] We were basically working with the CIA. Sort of our own division, although this was the only thing we ever did as part of that. There was a man, a mutant, trying to start a nuclear war between the United States and Russia. Have you heard of the Cuban Missile Crisis? It was that.

[shadowblends]

[Whatever Erik is willing to talk about, Kurt is more than ready to listen.] Cuban Missile Crisis?

[It sounded familiar, but maybe he'd have to find a way to learn more about it.] I see. So, your first 'mission' was to stop this man from creating unnecessary tension between the two countries?

[frankensteinian]

Not just tension. Nuclear war. I don't know what reasons he gave the Russians to do it, but he absorbed energy to heal and to keep from aging. He would have gotten a lot of personal benefit out of a nuclear war.

[shadowblends]

I did not mean to-- [He stops, thinks about it for a minute then brushes the thought aside with a wave of his hand.] If they had followed through with the attack, he would have been practically unstoppable.

[frankensteinian]

Yes. He was hard enough to stop as it was. He had a nuclear submarine and some mutants on his side.

[shadowblends]

You and the rest of the team were successful, though. It counts as a victory either way.

[frankensteinian]

We were. Only one person died that day.

[And he only died because Erik killed him.]

[shadowblends]

Someone died?

[Well, that definitely got his attention. Part of him wants to know, but the other half is telling him to tread lightly.]

[frankensteinian]

Yes. The man who was trying to start the war. [And he's not the least bit sorry about it, which is another point of contention between him and Charles.]

[shadowblends]

Oh, okay! I thought you meant one of your teammates had been killed. [If the guy was trying to destroy the world, why shouldn't they have stopped him?]

[frankensteinian]

No. They all made it through that alive.

[It was later that they'd all suffered terrible fates.]

[shadowblends]

Sehr gut. [Something feels ... left out; he's not sure what, but that won't keep him from asking:]

I feel like there is a 'but' in that statement.

[frankensteinian]

Although what really happened on that beach is classified, there was someone who somehow found out about the existence of mutants. The scientist who developed the Sentinels. He used mutants to improve them. To test them.

Half the mutants on that beach were his victims, and more besides.

[shadowblends]

That ... that is awful. [Kurt lifts both hands to his face, clasping them around his mouth and shaking his head. More than that, really. Absolutely despicable.]

So, is that what happened to them? The first group of X-Men, I mean.

[frankensteinian]

The man that Raven almost killed that day, that was the man who created them. [Which at least explains Raven's actions.]

Not all of them. Raven, Hank, Charles, Alex are the ones other than me who didn't end up that way. There are too many of them who did.

[shadowblends]

Did she attack him to keep him from completing the project?

[Again, he's shaking his head, moving his hands to press against the sides of his face.] It is gut that you five were lucky enough to avoid the experiments.
