Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!

Possible Scenarios:

1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!

2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!

3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, or Eurus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right? Even if you have been stolen away from your homeworld to a bunch of floating islands.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

Oh. [Geez, how many times can he make himself look like an idiot? Kurt's already come this far; he sees no reason to back out now.]

That means you were there.

Yes. I was there.

I cannot imagine what you have been through and to be blunt, I do not want to.

[frankensteinian]

No. You don't.

[He won't say he wouldn't wish it on his worst enemy though, because he would. If he could have turned it around and forced Shaw to go through what he had, he'd have done it in a heartbeat.]

That man that I mentioned, the one trying to start the war with Russia? He was there.

[Kurt would never, ever admit to wishing something like that on even the worst of his enemies; there's the tiniest part of him that might, depending on the situation, although he knows how those people suffered and why should anyone have to go through that?]

Was he simply there or was he ... in the camp with you?

[Erik is not as forgiving as Kurt is. Whatever someone would do to them? Turn it around and show them what it's like.]

He was one of them. A collaborator.

[shadowblends]

[Again, it would depend on who it was and what had happened. The events that had led up to their battle with Apocalypse? He would have loved to have been given the chance to deck that guy.]

... eliminating him was for the best, then.

Charles never thought so. He kept trying to change my mind about that particular decision.

... I don't understand. Why would it be okay to let someone like that continue to have the ability to hurt people?

[frankensteinian]

Charles would have been satisfied with handing him over to the CIA.

[But how would they have been able to handle a mutant?]

It was less about him not wanting Shaw to be killed and more about him not wanting me to be the one to do it.

[shadowblends]

That may have been a more docile plan, but ...

[He stops there, preferring to not voice some of the other thoughts he has on the matter. It wasn't his battle, anyway.]

In his own selfish way, he didn't want you to kill him?

Something about me being the better man.

[Really, they could go back and forth on this, but Kurt doesn't want to lead things in that direction.]

The past is the past and there isn't much that can be done. [Well ...] Aside from people being sent back to change it.

[frankensteinian]

I don't think that will be happening with this.

[A momentary pause.]

Even if it did, I wouldn't change it. I don't regret what happened.

That's probably a gut thing.

[He goes to answer right away, thinks better of it and momentarily chews his bottom lip in thought.]

I'm sure there are people that would agree with your choice. [He's not going to throw out any names, though.]

The only one who seemed to have a problem with it was Charles, so I'm sure you're right about that.

He only wants the best outcome from a situation, but it can't work like that every time.

[frankensteinian]

Sometimes you don't get to choose the outcome.

[shadowblends]

No, you don't and it's something we have to deal with.

[frankensteinian]

It would be great if things would turn out the way Charles wants them to, but we need to be prepared for the times when they don't.

[shadowblends]

I think that might be something that he is finally beginning to understand.

[frankensteinian]

You think so? What makes you think that?

[shadowblends]

He was training us - making sure we know how to fight, instead of hiding or running away.

[frankensteinian]

Good.

I know that he doesn't want you to have to, and he's right about that, kids shouldn't have to, but at least now he seems willing to make preparations for the times when it's necessary.

[When. Not if. Humans won't stop coming for them.]

[shadowblends]

[Talking about this sort of thing isn't going to mess up the future or anything, is it? No, not something as simple as informing Erik of Charles' plans to train them.]

We shouldn't, but ... [An indignant huff, his chest swelling in an attempt to make himself appear bigger.]

Mystique was right. We aren't kids and we do need to learn how to protect ourselves and others.
