Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.

Possible Scenarios:

1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!

2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!

3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, or Eurus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right? Even if you have been stolen away from your homeworld to a bunch of floating islands.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

How peculiar. I am going to assume it is safe to say that there was no one else they could send.

[Or, that there was no one familiar they could have assigned the job to, so what would it have mattered? The future is going to have a lot of different things - for the both of them, most likely.]

True, although I think it also depends on the person.

I'm not sure why they decided on him. [He'd missed that particular conversation.]

There are some who enjoy inflicting suffering.

[Many of them are reason he hasn't slept much in years.]

I suppose it does not matter. What matters is that the past was fixed. [And here's to hoping it will stay that way.]

[Erik isn't alone in that, although Kurt's insomnia is more recent and could possibly be fixed before it gets too far.]

Hopefully. [Just because the Sentinels are gone doesn't mean all of the threats are.]

[There are sure to be other mutants like En Sabah Nur to give them all a run for their money.

He averts his gaze, though from his peripheral, he catches sight of something on Erik's arm and as per usual, his inquisitiveness gets the better of him.] What is on your arm?

[Of course that would come up. Since he doesn't hide it, it's inevitable that someone would notice it.]

[A tilt of the head, contemplation creasing his features, his hands curling at his sides to keep him from reaching out for Erik's arm to get a better look.]

I am not sure I understand what you mean.

[frankensteinian]

[Well. The cat's out now, he might as well keep going with it. He holds it out so Kurt can get a good look at it.]

How much do you know of your own country's history?

[There's a momentary pause in his examination, though once Erik holds out his arm, he takes that as his okay to go ahead and get a better look.

Although, his eyes instantly dart back up to Erik's face, holding a rather knowing sort of expression.] ... enough to know that mistakes were made.

[He lets his arm fall back to his side, calmly.] Six million of them, by last count.

[Yep, that's exactly what he was thinking of. He withdraws into himself, raising his hands to lock them together below his chin.] ... I am sorry.

There were so many who were sorry after it happened. But they let it happen.

I could not have offered much help, considering I was not born.

Oh. [Geez, how many times can he make himself look like an idiot? Kurt's already come this far; he sees no reason to back out now.]

I cannot imagine what you have been through and to be blunt, I do not want to.

No. You don't.

[He won't say he wouldn't wish it on his worst enemy though, because he would. If he could have turned it around and forced Shaw to go through what he had, he'd have done it in a heartbeat.]

That man that I mentioned, the one trying to start the war with Russia? He was there.

[shadowblends]

[Kurt would never, ever admit to wishing something like that on even the worst of his enemies; there's the tiniest part of him that might, depending on the situation, although he knows how those people suffered and why should anyone have to go through that?]

Was he simply there or was he ... in the camp with you?

[frankensteinian]

[Erik is not as forgiving as Kurt is. Whatever someone would do to them? Turn it around and show them what it's like.]

He was one of them. A collaborator.

[shadowblends]

[Again, it would depend on who it was and what had happened. The events that had led up to their battle with Apocalypse? He would have loved to have been given the chance to deck that guy.]

... eliminating him was for the best, then.

Charles never thought so. He kept trying to change my mind about that particular decision.

[shadowblends]

... I don't understand. Why would it be okay to let someone like that continue to have the ability to hurt people?

[frankensteinian]

Charles would have been satisfied with handing him over to the CIA.

[But how would they have been able to handle a mutant?]

It was less about him not wanting Shaw to be killed and more about him not wanting me to be the one to do it.

[shadowblends]

That may have been a more docile plan, but ...

[He stops there, preferring to not voice some of the other thoughts he has on the matter. It wasn't his battle, anyway.]

In his own selfish way, he didn't want you to kill him?
