Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!

2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!

3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, or Eurus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right? Even if you have been stolen away from your homeworld to a bunch of floating islands.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

[Whew. Well, at least Erik didn't ask him to go into detail.] Before the new owner at the old circus and at the one in Munich, I was.

[frankensteinian]

Then why did you go with Raven?

[shadowblends]

I ... [Okay, he can't lie; it's really just not in his nature.] I was taken from the circus in Munich and put into a mutant fight club. She rescued me.

[frankensteinian]

Now that sounds like humans.

[He is glad to hear though that Raven still remembers at least some of what he'd taught her. Fight for mutants.]

[He opens his mouth, hesitates then shuts it, not positive on what he's supposed to say to that.

With a shrug, Kurt glances back out at the water, tucking his arms across his chest.] Nobody is perfect, I suppose.

[frankensteinian]

No. I suppose nobody is.

So Raven rescued you and took you to the school.

[shadowblends]

Some sure try to be.

Mm-hmm! I am an X-Man and a student, now.

[frankensteinian]

X-men. I haven't heard that term in awhile. Charles decided to try that again?

[shadowblends]

Raven said that's what the other team called themselves before they ... [And he'll stop there, shaking his head and moving on to the question.] Again? He tried once before?

[frankensteinian]

Raven was the one who came up with the term X-men in the first place. I'm pretty sure she was the one who decided that we all needed code names too.

What did she tell you about this other team?

[shadowblends]

Was she? It's an appropriate name. Codenames are also not a terrible idea - to protect our identities and all.

She spoke of how brave they all were before their mission. [And how they died, but did Erik have to know that?]

[frankensteinian]

I believe her thinking was that if we were government agents, we should have names that reflected such.

They were. They didn't deserve what happened to them.

[shadowblends]

You say 'we' ... Were you included in this group?

No, I'm sure that they didn't. A lot of things have happened that people don't deserve.

[frankensteinian]

Yes. I was there. [Before everything went wrong, and he made choices that he will never regret and Charles will never approve of.]

Things that we might wish we could stop.

[shadowblends]

Then, that would mean you know the exact details of what happened. [An obvious observation, but he doesn't want to outright ask about it.]

Until we find someone who can go back in time, that isn't quite plausible just yet.

[frankensteinian]

I do. I'm guessing that Raven didn't give all the details? [Or Kurt probably would have known he was there.]

There apparently is someone who can do that. Or will be. Ten years ago, I met someone who was sent back from the future to enlist our help in changing the future.

[shadowblends]

Not exactly. We were all a bit ... preoccupied. [Sure, that seemed to be vague enough.

His eyes broaden at that, the spade of his tail sliding over his shoulder.] Do you think we will meet them in the future?

[frankensteinian]

I'll give you details if you want them.

Seeing as the future version of me was apparently one half of the duo who came up with this plan, it seems likely that at least some of us will meet whoever has this ability.

[shadowblends]

As long as you don't mind telling me.

Hold on. [Wait a minute. Does that mean Erik--] Did you meet your future self?

[frankensteinian]

I don't. [What happened with those mutants should never be forgotten.]

No. I didn't meet my future self. [Charles had, but Erik doesn't know that.]

[shadowblends]

Then, by all means, tell me everything. [That way he can understand a little better why Raven and Hank were so vague on details.]

That's slightly disappointing. It would have been interesting to meet oneself in a situation like that.

[frankensteinian]

Where would you like me to start?

Perhaps not. Things could have been worse for him. [Somehow. Erik's not sure how.] I don't think I want to know my future. It's better if I think that things could start looking up.

[shadowblends]

The beginning would probably be the best place, ja?

[He cringes at that, shoulders momentarily wilting before Erik mentions thinking of far more positive things.] It's always better to view things with a bit of optimism!

[frankensteinian]

[Some parts of it he doesn't like to talk about as much as others, but he'll do his best.] We were basically working with the CIA. Sort of our own division, although this was the only thing we ever did as part of that. There was a man, a mutant, trying to start a nuclear war between the United States and Russia. Have you heard of the Cuban Missile Crisis? It was that.

[shadowblends]

[Whatever Erik is willing to talk about, Kurt is more than ready to listen.] Cuban Missile Crisis?

[It sounded familiar, but maybe he'd have to find a way to learn more about it.] I see. So, your first 'mission' was to stop this man from creating unnecessary tension between the two countries?
