Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!

2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!

3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, or Eurus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right? Even if you have been stolen away from your homeworld to a bunch of floating islands.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

Then guten tag, Kurt Wagner. [ Another familiar name, without a familiar face. Noriko is beginning to wonder if anybody except herself and Remy are from the same place or time, but while she sighs just a bit, not much of it makes it through her expression. ]

Do you have another name? [ Nori would offer her hand, except that doing so would probably shock him at least a little, and she doesn't want to do that. So she sidesteps him and slips on her gauntlets, latching them to the locking ring at her elbow before she offers a sun-warmed hand. ]

Du sprichst Deutsch? [It doesn't occur to him that she might only know that one phrase, until he's already asked. His features wilt somewhat at the sound of her sigh; it sounds like she could be upset about something, but it doesn't feel right to ask.]

Oh! In the circus, I was known as 'the incredible Nightcrawler'! [Look at this dork, playing up theatrics by sweeping one hand out and bowing. He straightens when she offers her hand though, taking it into his own and shaking it.] 'Nightcrawler' is also my codename, now.

Not...not more than like, three or four phrases, no. A friend of mine taught me a couple things. [ She's just not gonna tell him that it was another version of him. She misses her Kurt; hell, she misses her everyone. But she shakes his hand as easily as she would anyone else's, minding his two-fingered grip. ]

Hey, better than mine. My codename is Surge, makes me sound like a laundry detergent.

[Probably for the best, considering he'd be a bit surprised to hear that she knows an older version of him. He withdraws his hand after they've shared their introductions, tucking both arms loosely behind his back, fingers lacing together at the base of his tail.]

'Surge', hm? It sounds like something to do with electricity and you do seem to be glowing ...

Absolutely. There are times I wish I had something more to offer, but I would not exchange my ability. Not many people can teleport.

Japanese. I was born and raised in Tokyo. I came to the US when I was thirteen.

[ She chuckles at that, shaking her head. ] I don't know that I'd change mine either. I'm...used to it, it's part of me. It explains a lot of what went on when I was little. I mean, it also made sports competitions basically impossible, but that's minor.

[He shrugs at that, trying not to look too bashful.] Acrobatics, dancing and contorting are still considered sports, right? Those are the only sport-like things I have participated in.

I went because of the school there, actually. Only school for freaks I'd ever heard of, and I seemed to qualify. I left then because I manifested at thirteen and my father disowned me before he kicked me out.

[ She shrugs, trying not to sound more bitter than Noriko knows she already does. ] I've clocked close to six hundred miles an hour. Kinda unfair to everyone else for me to fuck up the point spread like that.

You are speaking of Xavier's School? [Kurt cringes at the word 'freaks' being used so loosely - especially by a fellow mutant; he tucks his arms behind his back, fingers lacing together at the base of his tail.] I was abandoned by my biological parents, too.

[Not that he was ever given a chance to meet them after being thrown into a river and all. Her next comment makes his eyes widen, jaw dropping in complete awe.] Six hundred miles? That's incredible!

Yeah, that one. [ She shrugs. ] I wouldn't say they abandoned me. I know where they live. They just don't answer my phone calls and don't consider me their child anymore.

Yeah. I...can run really fast. I made it from New York to Denver in an afternoon.

That is the school I am currently attending. [He purses his lips, teeth clamping together behind them as he shakes his head.] I have to admit, that probably feels worse than not having the chance to know them.

I know someone who could most likely do something like that.

I don't think either of us could tell. Our circumstances do sort of preclude knowing how the other feels.
