Welcome to Medietas and our first ever Test Drive Meme! As we approach the grand opening of the game on April 1st, we thought we’d kick things off with a little something that will get you all interacting in the new setting! And it’s one less sample you have to worry about on your application if you’re considering our little game here.

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You’ve just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a … floating boat, with people you may or may not know? You can’t help but ponder what’s going on here, but the vessel seems to be approaching a harbor and when it docks, some lovely locals are standing in wait to greet you. After that they hand you a map and communications device and invite you to find your accommodations and explore.

2. Party, party!: On the evening of your first night in the city, a party is being thrown on Aerilon in honor of your arrival. Eat, mingle, dance, meet the other new arrivals! The locals put on quite the celebration!

3. Go Exploring!: There's plenty of places to explore, be it in your designated housing area, or on one of the adjoining community islands! Hike the mountains in Eurus. Sit on the beaches of Imber with a cocktail, or go swimming. Adventure in the forests of Mundus. Be careful though! Every area has it's dangers.

4. The Bells Are Ringing!: And that means a islands wide warning that something dangerous is approaching! But where the heck are they coming from? Nevermind that, the caretakers rally the children and the senior citizens while Scykal, Imber's local sea monster, emerges from the large body of water on the island.  Interesting.  He hasn't been spotted in a long time.  Help the locals defeat him!

"That sounds like an excellent idea," Balthazar nods, following after him again. He could use a drink, or several, if Gabriel wants to know the full story.

[lotsoflaughs]

"Yeah. If it looks like we're at risk of drinking them dry, we'll either move to another bar or go to my place where I can snap stuff into existence. I've recovered enough from a certain other brother to manage that now." Maybe they can start a 'dead angels' club. Which is a crappy club to be a member of, actually.

[badpuns]

"Well, you can count me in for any of those plans - all of them, actually." He smiles a little. "You know, I believe between the two of us, we could drink the entire island dry."

Focusing on drinking is a far better plan than talking about the road that Castiel's gone down.

[lotsoflaughs]

"Just keep in mind that we do need to pay for things and we wouldn't want to use up all your money on your first day here, now would we?" he says with a small grin.

[badpuns]

"Do we?" Balthazar is apparently accustomed enough to not paying for things that this comes as a bit of a surprise. "I suppose that puts a bit of a damper on that plan then, doesn't it?"

[lotsoflaughs]

"We can't leave. You try to leave and you end up in some random place and keep having it happen until you get frustrated and give up. Best to not annoy the locals, hmm?" Gabriel points out. Given there's no getting away from them. Or bitty hunters who slings beer around.

[badpuns]

"I suppose you've already figured this out the hard way?" That's very disappointing. He'll have to be on his very best somewhat better behaviour then.

[lotsoflaughs]

"Four days of being human after taking matters into my own hands, little brother. Four." So yes, he's found out the hard way and he's not antagonizing anyone he wants to buy things from. No thank you. Hard to sulk into his liquor if he can't get anyone to sell it to him.

[badpuns]

"Four days of being human for trying to leave?" Balthazar's eyebrows raise. "Seems a bit heavy handed, doesn't it?"

[lotsoflaughs]

Gabriel coughs a little. "I may have blown something up when I got frustrated."

Like Balthazar wouldn't, in his place.

[badpuns]

Balthazar pats Gabriel on the shoulder sympathetically. "Completely understandable, under the circumstances. Nothing too important, though, I hope."

[lotsoflaughs]

"Why do you think the place had the reaction of 'no powers for you!'?" Well, he's feeling slightly better now. Always good when he can find it within himself to make a reference to something, even if not entirely direct.

[badpuns]

"Well, if it was anything terribly important, you may have lost your powers for more than just a few days," Balthazar shrugs. "I'll try not to follow your example, though."

[lotsoflaughs]

"They probably figured that would be enough for someone to take the hint," he says drily. "I'm not particularly looking to end up minus powers again."

In other words, it worked.

[badpuns]

Balthazar figures there was probably an incredible amount of sulking going on for those four days. It's for the best that he arrived after that for all involved.

"No, I can't imagine you would be. You must have found that very difficult."

[lotsoflaughs]

Probably, although at least Gabriel couldn't have actually done anything at the time. ...Aside, perhaps, from using an angel banishing sigil to smack him into the furthest reaches of where they could go.

"Walking everywhere," he grumps. "Needing to eat more than just candy. List went on."

[badpuns]

"It sounds very inconvenient," Balthazar nods. "I trust you're back to full strength again, though?"

[lotsoflaughs]

"Yup," he says with a nod before snapping his fingers as he remembers something. "Unless there's no possessions you give a crap about, there should be at least one or two things waiting for you at the house they assigned you. Along with changes of clothes. Which I got to be grateful for when I arrived due to the state of my own."

[badpuns]

"Some sort of consolation prize for not being able to leave, I take it?" There's a couple things he can think of that he wouldn't mind having from home. "Have you worked out why they've brought us all here yet?"

[lotsoflaughs]

Gabriel shakes his head. "The locals don't really know either. The people most likely to know are shut up in the castle."

Speaking of the locals, that reminds him of another thing. "Have you ever met Cain?" he asks delicately. He's pretty sure the answer is 'no', but he wants to make sure. It's been a few millennia since then, after all.

[badpuns]

"Hmm." It's probably no stretch of the imagination that the castle is probably well guarded. Not that he isn't grateful that he's not dead but he'd still like to know why.

He glances to Gabriel as he asks about Cain and shrugs, "No. I can't say that I have. Why? He isn't here too, is he?"

[lotsoflaughs]

"No, but one of the locals looks exactly like him. Owner of the juice bar, actually." Hence bringing up Cain. No reason for someone to go after the poor bastard, thinking he's someone else.

[badpuns]

"Ah," Balthazar nods. "That's a rather unfortunate resemblance then, isn't it?"

[lotsoflaughs]

"Yep," Gabriel says before nodding in turn. "So I get to sit on anyone I think might go for him before they get it in their heads he's not Cain."

Just what he wanted to be doing with his time.

"Well, hopefully those people are few and far between." Otherwise that's an awful lot of time wasted on babysitting that could be better spent on other things.
