Welcome to Medietas and our first ever Test Drive Meme! As we approach the grand opening of the game on April 1st, we thought we’d kick things off with a little something that will get you all interacting in the new setting! And it’s one less sample you have to worry about on your application if you’re considering our little game here.

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You’ve just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a … floating boat, with people you may or may not know? You can’t help but ponder what’s going on here, but the vessel seems to be approaching a harbor and when it docks, some lovely locals are standing in wait to greet you. After that they hand you a map and communications device and invite you to find your accommodations and explore.

2. Party, party!: On the evening of your first night in the city, a party is being thrown on Aerilon in honor of your arrival. Eat, mingle, dance, meet the other new arrivals! The locals put on quite the celebration!

3. Go Exploring!: There's plenty of places to explore, be it in your designated housing area, or on one of the adjoining community islands! Hike the mountains in Eurus. Sit on the beaches of Imber with a cocktail, or go swimming. Adventure in the forests of Mundus. Be careful though! Every area has it's dangers.

4. The Bells Are Ringing!: And that means a islands wide warning that something dangerous is approaching! But where the heck are they coming from? Nevermind that, the caretakers rally the children and the senior citizens while Scykal, Imber's local sea monster, emerges from the large body of water on the island.  Interesting.  He hasn't been spotted in a long time.  Help the locals defeat him!

"Ah," Balthazar nods. "That's a rather unfortunate resemblance then, isn't it?"

[lotsoflaughs]

"Yep," Gabriel says before nodding in turn. "So I get to sit on anyone I think might go for him before they get it in their heads he's not Cain."

Just what he wanted to be doing with his time.

[badpuns]

"Well, hopefully those people are few and far between." Otherwise that's an awful lot of time wasted on babysitting that could be better spent on other things.

[lotsoflaughs]

"I don't trust Dean not have managed to run into him at some point after the both of us," Gabriel grumbles. "I'm already going to need to sit on him about someone else."

[badpuns]

"All right, that's probably a fair point," Balthazar concedes. "Those boys seem to be everywhere that they are not supposed to be. Who's the someone else?"

[lotsoflaughs]

"She's... you'll know when you see her," he says with a shake of his head. "Sam and Jo know about her and are cool with her."

[badpuns]

Now he's even more curious. He tilts his head, but decides it's probably better not to push too hard. "I look forward to meeting her then."

[lotsoflaughs]

"She's twitchy about hunters, so she prefers not to have it blabbed to the world," Gabriel explains with a shrug.

[badpuns]

"I suppose that's understandable for a lot of reasons," Balthazar raises his eyebrows. "Still, it isn't as though I'm going to tell anyone."

[lotsoflaughs]

Gabriel rolls his eyes. "Give her some time to settle and not worry about potentially needing to go at hunters claws first to keep her six-year-old safe."

[badpuns]

"Her six year old?" He shakes his head as soon as he asks, figuring Gabriel isn't likely to give a reasonable answer if he's that determined to keep secrets.

"What else have you been getting up to since you arrived here?"

[lotsoflaughs]

"She has a kid. Hence her paranoia." Here, have a sort-of answer before Gabriel shrugs. "Taking a handful of people under my wing. Which you've probably gathered with her. Bemoaning the lack of access to tv shows that are more recent than the ones from the 1980's. Accepting bribes to put on more recent ones I've seen from people who want to watch them."

Said bribes consist of candy, naturally.

[badpuns]

Balthazar listens as Gabriel lists off what he's been getting up to since his arrival. "So essentially, we're all stuck here, we have to pay for everything, the powers that be make you human if you step out of line, and there's hardly any decent television to be found?"

Well, that's disappointing.

[lotsoflaughs]

"At least there's books available we haven't read yet?" Gabriel offers. "Even if for some people the selection is a couple years behind. Same with music. But yeah, that sums it up."

[badpuns]

"Books and music are something, at least. It'll have to do, I suppose." Really, he feels he can't object too strongly when he and Gabriel both are still alive. It could be far worse.

[lotsoflaughs]

"Yep. Also alcohol in more places than just Earth. Some of which means needing less to actually get drunk." Worse like Balthazar being stuck with one of the scarier archangels?

[badpuns]

"Well, now, that I wouldn't mind so much," he grins. Or being dead. He counts being dead as worse than a lot of things, really.

[lotsoflaughs]

"I've been helping Jo experiment with a few things since for obvious reasons, the non-Earth ones tend to be ones she's not familiar with. So there was me deciding if I agree with the descriptions and so on. Along with her getting to be amused once or twice when I found something was stronger than I expected." If Balthazar was dead, he wouldn't be able to complain about anything.

[badpuns]

"I trust they're all on her menu, then? Or, at least most of them?" He might have to defer to Gabriel's experience on what the best drinks are, in that case. At least for now.

[lotsoflaughs]

"She only works at one of the bars, so we haven't had the chance to try everything. And yeah, she's made mental notes on which ones are best for angels when I'm drinking to get drunk. We've found all the sweet ones at her place." Because of course he went after the sweet ones first.

[badpuns]

"Of course you did." That's hardly a surprise, with Gabriel's sweet tooth. He grins, "Well, we'll have to try the others too, then."

[lotsoflaughs]

"Yup," he says cheerfully. "We might end up making the assorted bars worry about how long their stocks will last, since one angel is bad enough for their supplies."

[badpuns]

"That's part of the fun, isn't it?" He's looking forward to drinking himself silly with Gabriel.

[lotsoflaughs]

"Hey, if they run out, so would we if it weren't for me," Gabriel points out with a grin.

[badpuns]

"All the more reason to be grateful that you're stuck here too." If he's going to be trapped on an island with someone, who better than a bigger brother who can and will snap up extra drinks when the supplies are running low?
