Welcome to Medietas and our first ever Test Drive Meme! As we approach the grand opening of the game on April 1st, we thought we’d kick things off with a little something that will get you all interacting in the new setting! And it’s one less sample you have to worry about on your application if you’re considering our little game here.

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You’ve just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a … floating boat, with people you may or may not know? You can’t help but ponder what’s going on here, but the vessel seems to be approaching a harbor and when it docks, some lovely locals are standing in wait to greet you. After that they hand you a map and communications device and invite you to find your accommodations and explore.

2. Party, party!: On the evening of your first night in the city, a party is being thrown on Aerilon in honor of your arrival. Eat, mingle, dance, meet the other new arrivals! The locals put on quite the celebration!

3. Go Exploring!: There's plenty of places to explore, be it in your designated housing area, or on one of the adjoining community islands! Hike the mountains in Eurus. Sit on the beaches of Imber with a cocktail, or go swimming. Adventure in the forests of Mundus. Be careful though! Every area has it's dangers.

4. The Bells Are Ringing!: And that means a islands wide warning that something dangerous is approaching! But where the heck are they coming from? Nevermind that, the caretakers rally the children and the senior citizens while Scykal, Imber's local sea monster, emerges from the large body of water on the island.  Interesting.  He hasn't been spotted in a long time.  Help the locals defeat him!

"I trust they're all on her menu, then? Or, at least most of them?" He might have to defer to Gabriel's experience on what the best drinks are, in that case. At least for now.

[lotsoflaughs]

"She only works at one of the bars, so we haven't had the chance to try everything. And yeah, she's made mental notes on which ones are best for angels when I'm drinking to get drunk. We've found all the sweet ones at her place." Because of course he went after the sweet ones first.

[badpuns]

"Of course you did." That's hardly a surprise, with Gabriel's sweet tooth. He grins, "Well, we'll have to try the others too, then."

[lotsoflaughs]

"Yup," he says cheerfully. "We might end up making the assorted bars worry about how long their stocks will last, since one angel is bad enough for their supplies."

[badpuns]

"That's part of the fun, isn't it?" He's looking forward to drinking himself silly with Gabriel.

[lotsoflaughs]

"Hey, if they run out, so would we if it weren't for me," Gabriel points out with a grin.

[badpuns]

"All the more reason to be grateful that you're stuck here too." If he's going to be trapped on an island with someone, who better than a bigger brother who can and will snap up extra drinks when the supplies are running low?

[lotsoflaughs]

"Along with the fact I'm able to give you the warning not to learn things the hard way?" he asks with a wry smirk.

[badpuns]

"Yes, exactly," he nods. It occurs to him that he should have taken what happened to Gabriel before his arrival as a cautionary tale of siding with the Winchesters against a brother. Hindsight is 20/20.

[lotsoflaughs]

"Glad to be your early warning system," he says wryly. Considering Castiel had gone off the deep end someone needed to oppose him.

[badpuns]

"Isn't that what older brothers are supposed to do? Share their mistakes in hopes we don't follow too far in their footsteps?" He'd consider it more worthwhile if he knew Castiel didn't actually manage to take out himself and a good chunk of the planet.

[lotsoflaughs]

"I thought it was pick on you guys and make you hate life," Gabriel deadpans.

[badpuns]

"Or to the point where we decide we'd rather be on our own?" Balthazar shrugs. "I suppose that's part of it too."

[lotsoflaughs]

"You guys can't hang all over us forever," Gabriel says with a shrug. "That whole 'growing up' thing."

[badpuns]

"I suspect if we had all decided at some point to up and leave, we would have been missed," Balthazar points out. "Then Michael only would have had Raphael to boss around."

[lotsoflaughs]

Gabriel snorts. "That was assuming Michael let any of you guys leave. He had you guys under lock-down for what, the entire time I was gone?"

[badpuns]

Balthazar shrugs, "I think he expected most of us wanted to follow you. The general consensus seemed to be that you were the only one who was remotely fun to have in the general vicinity, after all."

[lotsoflaughs]

Gabriel blinks at that. "That sure would have put an end to the Loki cover before it even got started."

Given he would have been surrounded by an army of younger angels to manage.

[badpuns]

And good luck with finding an alternative cover with that kind of attention.

"It's probably for the best that no one was particularly willing to go against what Michael said." Until the Apocalypse started, anyway.

[lotsoflaughs]

There wouldn't have been any point bothering. Instead, there would have been slowly encouraging the younger angels to learn to think for themselves instead of wait to be told what to do and sending them out into the world once he was sure they wouldn't cause massive problems.

Gabriel makes a face. "Probably. He's not exactly known for being tolerant of those who defy him."

[badpuns]

"No, not exactly." Really, Balthazar would rank Michael just under Lucifer in terms of being terrifying. Michael, at least, is somewhat more reasonable, and somewhat more predictable.

[lotsoflaughs]

Gabriel agrees on more predictable. Not so much on reasonable though. He's under no illusions as to what Michael's reaction to him pulling his blade on him would have been.

He just shakes his head after letting these thoughts drift through it, not wanting them to lead to the other big brother. "Unless Michael gets dropped here, we don't have to worry about what he thinks of anything."

"Perhaps we should switch to a more pleasant topic of conversation?" Going down the road of talking about their brothers, especially the older ones, can't possibly lead anywhere good.

[lotsoflaughs]

"Let's not tempt fate," he agrees. "We're just about at the bar. Then drinking and letting the hunters know there's another angel in town to give them headaches."
