Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!

2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon. Or, attend one of the many block parties!

3. Lost!: Somehow you got yourself turned around and confused and getting back to where you want to be is looking impossible.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

"What are white walkers?" Henry's interest and curiosity have been peeked. You're never going to get rid of him now, Tyrion.

[tallasaking]

"They are ... fierce creatures, from our legends and tales, but do not be fooled, they are real enough." He pauses, then adds quietly, "They are the dead, come back to life."

Henry just smiles. "Cool. So they're zombies."

[tallasaking]

"...if zombies are the dead come back to life with frozen limbs, then yes. White walkers are zombies." What an odd word -- "I take it there are ... zombies here, as well?"

"Depends how they died. Zombies are usually rotting corpses that try and turn you into a zombie. I suppose they could be frozen if it was cold or they froze to death."

Odd to some. Normal to others. It was how the world works.

"Not zombies in that way, no. But there are people who were dead and have come back to life. My father included." Henry still has mixed feelings over this but most of them are happy. He'd missed his father.

[tallasaking]

"I ... see." That was, in fact, quite different but since they seemed to be on common ground, he was not going to back track.

"So... your father was resurrected from the dead. Using magic?"

Henry seemed less interested in this topic but he wouldn't shy away from the truth. He would, however, try and buy time and hope it went away.

"If you want to know the truth about my father, I would discuss in private. You're welcome to come back to my home here. It's not far."

[tallasaking]

Here, Tyrion paused, before he stated diplomatically, "I would be honored to break bread with you - but if your father is a private matter, I would not wish to intrude upon it."

"Private and painful." Henry admitted. "But once you start hiding from the truth, it's much harder to stop. It's like feeding the Darkness. I don't wish to taste that again."

It was at times like these that Henry suddenly looked and sounded much older than a boy of thirteen years.

"I don't believe we've even introduced ourselves. I'm Henry. Henry Mills."

"I cannot argue with that -- but still - the truth should not be used to satisfy someone's curiosity. It should be used to share truth, to bring out truth in others. A method of coaxing, and not of pain."

Tyrion stated quietly, before he put one stubby hand to his own chest. "Tyrion. Tyrion Lannister."

"What are we without our curiosity? Where would you be if you didn't ask questions? It's the same for our pain. Without it, we'd never know what happiness was."

Henry nodded and gestured again in the direction of the house he shared with his father. "Shall we?"

[tallasaking]

"It is a fair point - but one should not be connected with another. My curiosity shouldn't be something sated on something that causes you pain, even if you feel happiness later because I have stopped being curious. Otherwise, what are we but torturers of one another, and not friends?"

He followed after, his short legs waddling along. "We shall."

Henry started walking, keeping his pace slow like he did when he was walking with Leroy and the other dwarves back home.

"Friends do not torture? No wonder can pick them." He paused for a moment, letting the quip sink in before continuing. "If you do not wish to know, do not ask in future."

[tallasaking]

"Well, so I have been given to understand. Honestly I have yet to see the truth in that." Tyrion looked over at him, before stating simply, "I can also take no for an answer, as well."

Henry snorted and continued on. He might have been frustrated by the slow pace had he not been previously used to it. Thankfully, he hadn't long been out the door when he'd run into Tyrion.

"Here we are." He opened the door and held it open for the smaller man before closing it behind him. "And I'm not good at giving out no as an answer. Too much negativity in the word."

"Is that so? While I have spent a lifetime hearing it, and giving it to others. You must have had a much happier childhood than I did." He stated wryly, as he looked around with wide eyes. Taking in everything, exploring the room before him. The electrical lights were the first thing that drew his eye.

Henry laughed out loud. "A happy childhood? What's that?" He was very glad his father was at work as Henry knew Neal's reaction would be pained. Henry took a seat in the living area and gestured for Tyrion to do the same, still chuckling slightly because after everything he'd been though, a happy childhood sounded ludicrous.

He looked over his shoulder at the young man, one eyebrow raising before he went to go sit down near Henry, "You are a puzzle, Henry Mills. You sound so hopeful for one who says he has tasted sorrow."

"I would hope so. It's the only thing I bring to the table. Though, technically I would say my grandmother brings hope. My mothers and my grandfather bring magic. My father and my other grandfather bring swords. I bring...belief. And stories." It sounded so pathetic when he said it like that. But he tried the magic and it didn't work. He'd never go down that road again.

"What do you bring, Tyrion Lannister?"

[tallasaking]

"Ah, then you hold the true secrets then - for those are all wrapped up in stories." He smiled a little, before he thinks, "I bring knowledge, and wit, and ... usually some level of drunkness, but I am not sure if that is a detriment or otherwise. So I shall stick with knowledge."

[darkestauthor]

Henry inclined his head, accepting this answer. "Would you excuse me for a moment? I may have something that interests you."

He stood, heading for the door and returned a few minutes later carrying a large book and setting it on the table in front of Tyrion.

"You like knowledge? My family's history is in there, if you can read between the lines."

[tallasaking]

"A skill I am only too good with." He picked up the book, and carefully flipped to the first page. He eyed it for a moment, then looked up at Henry, "You were understating your sad childhood, I see."

[darkestauthor]

"Oh, I'm not in the book. It's how my mother was born and how my other mother tried to take revenge my grandmother while being her step mother. It's a bit of a screwed up family tree."

Henry was starting to wonder if he'd finally met someone who didn't know who his family was first. So far, everyone knew the names of Snow White, Prince Charming and Rumplestiltskin but not the real versions. It was interesting to get the reaction from someone completely unbiased.

[tallasaking]

"... Quite so, but Henry, books are like people, and they show an impression of the kind of person they are. You tell me this is your family's history - and I can see instead of the sort of loving disrepair of fondness and many hands touching this volume -- that it has been carefully preserved. Except for the binding, which I am sure falls open to your favorite spots."

He does prove Henry right as he turns over the first page, and frowns, "Who is ... Snow White?"

Henry smiling, taking a seat beside Tyrion so they could look through the book together. If the other man did try and find Henry's favourite spot in the book, it would be a picture of a boy.

"She's my maternal grandmother. And technically my sister."
