Test Drive

Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!
2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon. Or, attend one of the many block parties!
3. Lost!: Somehow you got yourself turned around and confused and getting back to where you want to be is looking impossible.
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

That really was just self-explanatory.

"We were originally going to discuss my father, weren't we?"

"It was magic and an evil woman that killed him. He died...He sacrificed himself to save everyone else. I don't know how he's back. It was this place that did it. I'm just grateful I have the chance to get to know him."
His hand moved to the book. "This was him as a boy. When he thought life was good. Or not nearly as bad as they ended up being."

He turned to Tyrion. "Who would you say was the worst person you ever met?"
no subject
His answer was all too quick. "My father."
no subject
"But you'll certainly get along with my grandfather. It was his father who I was talking about. A man...A boy so vile he was able to torment three generations. It was his fault I almost died for the third time before I'd entered my teens."
no subject
"Then I feel for your grandfather. Some parents do not deserve to be called the title."
no subject
"I'm glad we agree on that at least." Henry sighed. "Though perhaps that's enough about my family."
no subject
He glanced over at the young man and nodded . "Indeed. Quite enough."
no subject
"It's your turn. Show me your family tree."
no subject
He could go rather far back, if he wanted to. He had the ability to do so, thanks to all his extensive studying.

Henry was like a sponge with knowledge. He wanted everything he could get his hands on. And this man's family was just as interesting as his own.

"Our entire line is supposed to come from one of the seven founders of the seven kingdoms, Lann the Clever. Some thought of him as a trickster."
no subject
"Seven founders of seven kingdoms. Sounds almost like Loki, your Lann."
Henry unscrewed the top of the ink bottle and dipped the quill into the ink. Then he began writing even though the quill never touched the page.
The words would most likely not make sense to Tyrion. Henry had created his own code when he had started Operation Cobra so that Regina couldn't read them if found. This had continued as a shorthand and the Author's quill made writing it much quicker still. Plus, he found he could write and listen at the same time when he did this.
no subject
"Fascinating ... I mean, your quill, not my history. Although that is also fascinating. Who is Loki?"
no subject
"And Loki is the God of Mischief in Norse mythology, as well as one of the villains in the Thor and Avengers comic books."

Henry pondered the questions then realised he has the answer upstairs. He said nothing just grinned as he ran out of the room and came back with a box. He thumbed through them until he found one his Avengers comics and handed it to Tyrion. "That's Thor. He's part of the Avengers, which is a group of superheroes trying to help save the world. Thor is based of the Norse mythology as well. The Norse are a group of people from my world's history."
no subject
He arched an eyebrow as the boy ran off upstairs, amusement flashing over his face as he handed over the booklet. "I see ... and he's some sort of hero then, like Bran the Builder or Lann the Clever."
no subject
He watched Tyrion flick through the comic. "Yeah. Thor is a hero. Loki's the villain. It's quite black and white but it's fun to read. My mom used to buy me those before..." He paused, wondering how to explain. In the end, he used a little white lie. "...before I got this." He gestured to the quill.
no subject
He nodded his head slowly, reading the pages. Art and writing together, fascinating. "So you could write your own stories, instead of reading those made by others?"
no subject
Luckily, Tyrion changed the subject and he nodded. "That is my job. I'm the current Author. With this quill and ink, I document the stories of other people. The previous Author wrote that Storybook." He pointed the original one in which they'd seen Baelfire and Regina. "But he used the power for his own personal gain so it was then passed onto me."
no subject
He allowed the conversation to shift alone, before he nodded his head. "So you are to write stories just for everyone else?"
