Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!

2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon. Or, attend one of the many block parties!

3. Lost!: Somehow you got yourself turned around and confused and getting back to where you want to be is looking impossible.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

"... Quite so, but Henry, books are like people, and they show an impression of the kind of person they are. You tell me this is your family's history - and I can see instead of the sort of loving disrepair of fondness and many hands touching this volume -- that it has been carefully preserved. Except for the binding, which I am sure falls open to your favorite spots."

He does prove Henry right as he turns over the first page, and frowns, "Who is ... Snow White?"

Henry smiling, taking a seat beside Tyrion so they could look through the book together. If the other man did try and find Henry's favourite spot in the book, it would be a picture of a boy.

"She's my maternal grandmother. And technically my sister."

He would try it, and he would look at the boy for a long moment, before looking back at Snow White, "I come from a family of many levels of inbreeding -- but even I have problems understanding that."

Henry grinned and flipped the book to the back page. On the inside back cover was a crudely drawn family tree with himself at the bottom. It always interested him to note how many different families seemed to be involved. Barely anyone shared a surname.

"The crosses denote dead people. And the wavy line is the important part. I was adopted as a baby."

He peered to look at it, his finger tracing over the different families, his gaze widening. "Your family tree is certainly ...complex."

"Yup." Henry agreed. "And those are just the names I grew up with. The ones with surnames have different ones in the book." He pointed to Mary Margaret Blanchard. "She's Snow White, but I grew up knowing her as Miss Blanchard. Then we have Prince Charming, her husband. The Evil Queen, her step mother and my adoptive mother, and finally my other grandfather is known as Rumplestiltskin." He pointed to each in turn as he spoke, first to David, then Regina and finally to Mr Gold. "The very latter of those mentioned are here in Medietas."

[tallasaking]

"So ... your grandfathers are here, along with your adopted mother, who is also your ... maternal step-grandmother. Which makes this one grandfather your grandfather and your brother in law." He scratches his forehead. "Are you certain this is not incestous?"

Henry laughed. "It does sound that way but really it isn't." It always amused me trying to explain his family tree to others.

"And no. It's just Grandpa, Dad, Mom and Belle." He pointed to Gold, Neal, Emma and Belle as he spoke. "I hope the rest of my family comes here one day. But I have my dad back so that's enough for now."

Tyrion wasn't entirely certain because his family was incestuous and this had an all too familiar ring to it. Regardless, he was now going to be peering at the others on the family tree.

"So, do you all live together in this house?"

[darkestauthor]

"No. It's just me and Dad. Grandpa and Belle have their own houses on Eurus and Mom is just down the road. You'll have your own house somewhere." He decided not to go into his own house. It was too painful for even the truth.

"What about your family?"

[tallasaking]

"Well, I look forward to having my own home, for once." Not something owned by his father, or some hovel in the ground. All his, what a delightful thought.

He paused, his sigh escaping his lips, "I am not sure you could call them my family - is your family not those who love you just as you are? My family has never been that. And they are not here."

"You've never lived alone? But you're like thirty or something?" It wasn't tactful but Henry never did have any tact.

"Family is what you make it. Sounds like you're glad they're not here."

[tallasaking]

"Twenty almost thirty something, and in my world we all live with our families until we are wed. Sometimes even then." He sighed quietly, "I lived with my first wife for a short time - and my second wife and I were ... trapped with my family."

He smirked faintly, "Glad is something of an understatement - now who is this lovely woman?" Dark hair, dark eyes, beautiful lips ...

"Wow. Not sure I want to live with mine until I get married." Then again, maybe he did for protection. "Trapped sounds horrible. But at least you weren't alone?" Henry was assuming, wrongly, that Tyrion had married for love.

Then the small man changed the subject and Henry frowned in confusion. "Hmm? Which woman?"

"I know I certainly did not. However my father would not do me the courtesy of dying so I had to go live elsewhere." He paused, before he drops his eyes back to the book. "No ... not alone."

He points to the woman, all in black. "This ... Evil Queen."

"I think you'd get along with my grandfather. He speaks of his father with the same...polite animosity."

Henry looked back and realised who it was. He hadn't immediately recognised her having not seen that side of her in quite some time. "That's my mother. The one who adopted me. The Evil Queen, Regina."

[tallasaking]

"I always respect a man who can speak of his father with the right mixture of disdain and respect."

He felt both of his eyebrows raised, before he cleared his throat and flipped to another page. No reason to let the boy know his mother was a dazzling beauty. "Right then, and moving right along with this tale .."

"If the right mixture is all disdain and no respect, then that's my grandfather. Though I tend to take the opposite approach with my own."

Henry laughed. "What? Just because she's my mother doesn't mean you have to stop talking about her. I've probably heard it all before anyway." His curiosity was peaked again. What did Tyrion think of Regina?

[tallasaking]

"Well yes, you sound like you like your father. And he was not a complete ass while he was living, or while he has been here."

Better fathers deserved better treatment. Tyrion paused again, before he arched an eyebrow at Henry, "Do you really want to hear that I find your mother attractive? You are an odd fellow, Henry Mills."

[darkestauthor]

"Honestly, I don't know him very well. I first met him when I was eleven. He died when I was twelve. And now I'm thirteen."

Henry's smile had slipped talking about his father, but the confusion on Tyrion's face brought it back. "I won't deny she's a beautiful woman. And I like being odd. What's the point in being even?"

[tallasaking]

"So ... you have barely known him. Well, I shall hope he will not turn into an ass then." Because frankly every child should be spared that.

He seemed to consider that, before he shook his head, "No point whatsoever. And your mother is stunning. However if she is still evil I will be avoiding her like the plague."

[darkestauthor]

"From what I know of him, through experience and story, I don't think he will." He really hoped Neal didn't. It would break his heart if he did.

"She's not here yet. And she's not evil any more. She's a hero." And Henry stared his determination right into Tyrion's eyes, daring him to disagree. Regina had proved herself against Zelena and he wouldn't let anyone tell him otherwise. Especially those who didn't know her.

[tallasaking]

"Good. As I said someone ought to have a decent father."

He takes in that determined look, before he nods his head slowly. "I believe you." And because it needs to be said, and he is Tyrion, "... so is she married? Betrothed? Willing to be courted by a shorter man?

[darkestauthor]

"I hope I am one day." And he was serious. But Tyrion's questions about his mother jut made him laugh again.

"Last I checked she was dating Robin Hood. But who knows? She may be willing if she ever arrives her. I already have an uncle who's younger than me. What's wrong with a step-dad who's smaller than me?" He was teasing and he hoped it wasn't too much of a sore spot with his new friend.

He tipped his head thoughtfully. "I am not sure who this Robin Hood is, but he does sound very formidable. Luckily, I am formidable in my own ways. Mostly from the verbal ones, but still."

He smiled back, before he snorted out a laugh. "Absolutely nothing. Smaller step-fathers are usually ideal for growing boys."
