Welcome to Medietas and our first ever Test Drive Meme! As we approach the grand opening of the game on April 1st, we thought we’d kick things off with a little something that will get you all interacting in the new setting! And it’s one less sample you have to worry about on your application if you’re considering our little game here.
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You’ve just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a … floating boat, with people you may or may not know? You can’t help but ponder what’s going on here, but the vessel seems to be approaching a harbor and when it docks, some lovely locals are standing in wait to greet you. After that they hand you a map and communications device and invite you to find your accommodations and explore.
2. Party, party!: On the evening of your first night in the city, a party is being thrown on Aerilon in honor of your arrival. Eat, mingle, dance, meet the other new arrivals! The locals put on quite the celebration!
3. Go Exploring!: There's plenty of places to explore, be it in your designated housing area, or on one of the adjoining community islands! Hike the mountains in Eurus. Sit on the beaches of Imber with a cocktail, or go swimming. Adventure in the forests of Mundus. Be careful though! Every area has it's dangers.
4. The Bells Are Ringing!: And that means a islands wide warning that something dangerous is approaching! But where the heck are they coming from? Nevermind that, the caretakers rally the children and the senior citizens while Scykal, Imber's local sea monster, emerges from the large body of water on the island. Interesting. He hasn't been spotted in a long time. Help the locals defeat him!
5. Wild Card!: Choose your own scenario!

"It is simpler to be a coward." he is not fond of lies or half-truths, "You give him power through your fear."
The Darkness does not need much more to take hold. Even if those who abide by the Light fall while battling it, their efforts are not in vain.

His blade slides into him and he only half-hears the first part of what his brother says before he's able to focus on him past the pain and shock. 'Don't forget, little brother...' After a moment of being frozen, he blinks and forcefully shoves the memory into a corner before grabbing for something to say. "Considering that every time I've tried to leave, I just popped back somewhere in the area that means I'd be trapped for an undefined amount of time in not a whole lot of space with my brother. Best to try to maintain family harmony."

"He controls you." Thranduil knows fear; he knows hate and he has known love, "What is the worst he could do to you? Torture you? Kill you? You will exist as long as your Father wills it, surely. Do not fear him."

Given he had only two weeks between now and then. Not nearly enough time for it to retreat into just being an ache instead of something that would give him nightmares if he slept. Nor enough time to avoid going back to that time in his mind if something or someone triggers it.
Right, thing he didn't answer because he got side-tracked. He grabs onto it like a life-line, desperately needing and wanting the subject change. "Something entertaining--to me, if no one else--and provides an object lesson. Like say, a guy who's married and has kids but doesn't keep it in his pants being killed by a kind of ghost who kills men who are unfaithful to their wives. I don't actually kill all those who get my attention in ways they would have preferred not to. The dead guys are people I think won't learn from the experience, so they get to serve as said lessons to others. The ones I think can, get a taste of their own medicine to see how the people they're negatively affecting feel."

He knows Sauron will return; it is only a matter of time.
"Your justice rings hollow. How many mistakes have you made?" his brow knits, "Do you judge another solely by their actions or do you keep their pasts in mind?"

"Angels have an entire laundry list of powers and archangels have even more. They help for getting a look at what a person is really like. Sure, humans sometimes surprise me, albeit not always in good ways, but..." He shrugs. "Living on Earth among the mortals for a couple thousand years has given me a pretty good look at what they're like. And has resulted in me being more tolerant of things my siblings would frown on."
So here's a belated explanation for the way he talks. Humans have had time to rub off on him in various ways, including things like slang.

"Are there none who are older than your brother?" it really isn't fair to put that burden on the younger brother's shoulders, "I have encountered Men now and then, yet I much prefer the language and habits of my kin."
Compared to other Elves, Thranduil is...wilder. He is closer to nature by far and he embodies both the wisdom and naivetΓ© of the forest.

He's not reciting names for that long. No way. He'd probably manage to forget someone or list them more than once, anyway. After a couple thousand, it gets to the point of '...Did I say this one's name?'.
no subject
"Can you pair your might with Raphael's?" there are options and he wishes to test each one. He does not detect any lies from Gabriel, which means that this Lucifer is indeed a grave threat.

"I am beginning to think Lucifer and Morgoth are one and the same."

Every Elf knows there is a balance to such things. Darkness must exist for Light to penetrate it.
"He has been known to twist and corrupt those Eru favors into images that are both monstrous and disturbing."

"My brother hadn't been really given much of a chance to do that after the first few. The ones he'd made took over from there." Given he had been locked up where he couldn't cause problems.
