Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!

2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon!

3. Event: The Faire's in town! Feast, socialize, dance, play games! There's plenty to do and the grounds on Mundus are packed with festivities for all to enjoy.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

[Freya climbs behind him and wraps her arms around his waist. She rests her chin on his shoulder and looks at him with a smile.]

Back to the future?

[She laughs.]

Nice.

[He settled better, giving her room, and smirked at her as he turned to nod at her, eyes not quite meeting hers. She felt warm and nice against his back. At her recognizing his quote, he smirked wider. As the bike rose upward and banked away from the docks, he spoke.]

Always steal from the best.

Does that mean I should expect more quotes?

[As they rose up and away from the docks her grip around his waist tightened into a firm hold. She feels her heartbeat racing and she doesn't chance looking down. Her lips stay close to his ear to talk to him.

When she starts laughing she presses her forehead into his back to try and contain her giggles.]

This is so cool.

[Scary but awesome. It isn't in her nature to fly.]

More than likely, yes.

[ He shivered at her closeness, and grinned.]

Don't worry, I'll take it slow. Don't want your first time to be too rough.

[He pointed out the castle to one side, and the police station in the distance, and more as they went.]

[Freya eventually stops laughing though the adrenaline is making her feel a little bit giddy. She rests her head on his shoulder only turning to look when he points.]

Don't take it to slow.

[Her cheeks flush from the touch of the wind and her hair tangles behind her though Freya doesn't really seem to care.

She's having to much fun.]

As you wishhhhhh. [Her words were all he needed, and the bike leaped forward, taking them darting along one street, then out across one of he rainbow bridges to another island, and around it, slowing to avoid trees.

Then back across the bridge, and down they go, sliding slower and slower as they came to street level, and the wheels touch down. Ahead was a restaurant, and Harry nodded to it.]

There we are. Best pizza in Medietas.

[The moment they speed off Freya starts laughing again. She sounds like a doofus but she doesn't care. Strong arms remain tight around Harry's waist as he steers, her head peeking out from behind him when she feels like she might be able to open her eyes against the wind.

When they stop her heart is pounding, her face is flushed and it's almost impossible to erase the grin from her lips.]

This will rate how much I'm going to like it here.

[She teases as she swings her leg off his bike. She stumbles in her first step and catches herself, feeling the ground move despite no longer being in the air.]

That was exciting.

[Harry reached out to try to steady her, then led her in and to the scent of cheese, and other pizza-ly scents, smacking them in the nose. The patron led them to a booth, and drew the curtains after asking their drink orders.

Harry handed over a menu, and settled back, grinning.] I like flying, and pizza, and people who appreciate both.

[Freya follows him into the restaurant with a little skip in her step. She can't help but be excited by new things. She slips into the seat across from him and takes the offered menu.]

I'm two for two then.

[Her light gray eyes lightly skim down the menu before looking back up at Harry.]

Want to just split a pizza and go with a class pepperoni? [Freya can probably eat a whole pizza by herself. She is trying to remember the last time she's had a full meal.]

[Harry nodded, eying her and the menu, then nodded again, grinning widely. He was fond of pizza, oh yessss.]

Sure. We can do that.

[He waved for the waiter and ordered a large, because he could, and because then he could send the extras home with her, if there were any.] There are a lot of good people and good places.

Do you mean here or in general?

[Freya is used to traveling, she loves seeing the world and meeting the people who live in it. This is a new place, a new world and its filled with a lot of new things for her to see.]

In general I find that people are good, then there are those who like to ruin that for everyone else.

I mean, here in Medietas.

[He waved a hand around, grinning. And he nodded at her words.]

Very true. Though I would say most are oblivious with good intentions, and some are malicious, and some are actually good.

[Freya leans forward, resting her weight on her elbows.]

So which are you?

[Her tone is light and teasing.]

Me? I'm the idiot hero who keeps running toward danger when everyone else is running away. [He offered her a grin, if a lopsided one.]

[Freya leans forward and drops the volume of her voice for the desired effect.]

So I should run in the opposite direction of you?

[Heroes are always the ones who get hurt.]

That doesn't sound like a lot of fun.

[Harry grinned, eyes full of warmth.]

Yes, you should. I am dangerous and my life is dangerous.

I dunno. Sometimes it can be. But it's not about being fun. It's about doing what you believe in doing, what you were born to do, and have the power to do.

Dangerous seems to follow me wherever I go. It won't be much of a change.

[Her smile drops for a second and her expression is wistful. Her bright gray eyes study Harry for a few seconds before she sits back in her seat. Her smile pulls back over her lips while her fingers lace in front of her.]

Born to do? What sort of power do you have Harry?

[Freya knows about wizards though she's only met a few in her life.]

[He smiled at her, curious at this woman, strange but intriguing. So far, he found her... interesting.] I'm a wizard. We are born to be the bastion of defense between all the things that go bump in day or night, and those who know not enough to defend themselves.

[he shrugged.] I stand between. [And for a moment, there was a very subtle shift in Harry, as he centered and just let himself sink into the magic around him and within him. Power pulsed along him, and he opened a hand.] Shimmeria.

[Light bloomed from his fingers, each one emitting a glittering trail into the air, each trail filled with depths that twisted under the eye.

And then it was gone, and he was back to normal.] I'm just me.

[Freya watches him a small smirk tugging at her lips. She likes his light show.]

So how do you define things that go bump in the night. [The phrasing makes her shiver but she tries to keep her voice cool and calm. She's had eleven years to deal with her own demon and yet it continues to haunt her.] You see, I've met a lot of different species.

[She watches him carefully.]

Wizards too, and I find that some are good and some are bad. Some want to be left alone. You said that you were born to stand between them, why?

[Harry arched an eyebrow, then nodded.] People and things that are out to feed on or in other ways hurt or displace those who cannot defend themselves against such attacks.

[He smiled wryly.] Not all monsters do monstrous things, and not all monsters are defined by how they look.

Bad wizards are a pain in the ass. We call them warlocks.

[He smiled wider, now.] Because with power comes responsibility. I can do and see things no one else can. If I don't act, then I am just as guilty as those who do those things.

Do you get a lot of that?

[Freya's experiance is that the Hidden are more contained than that though it might be different where Harry is from.]

Also monster is sort of a harsh overarching word don't you think? Most of the monsters I mean are regular people. [Then again people can do less damage than other things.] Oh! Another question. [She's getting too excited and so she doesn't give him time to reply to her first question.]

Why call them warlocks? I mean I know it's a name that's been around since who knows why but war-locks. Like they lock in war or is it just because people want the word wizard to be synonymous with good. [These are the things she thinks about.

Freya knows about the sort of guilt that Harry's talking about. Thinking back on it now, there is nothing she could have done but she's still the only one who lived.]

[Harry chuckled and waited for her to finish. He considered her questions, and her pretty eyes, not quite meeting them, and then nodded.]

First, yes, I do. Second, it isn't mean to contain any harsh connotations, but I know some see it that way. Third, It's an old term and I have no idea why it came into use.

[He smiled to her.] I do what I do to help people.

[Freya counts on his fingers as he answers each question, the smile on her lips widening. She's impressed that he got them all.]

You are- [She pauses for effect.] interesting.

[Her head turns a few seconds before their pizza arrives. Freya has a very keen sense of smell and the delicious scent of pizza makes her stomach grumble audibly. Seriously when is the last time she ate something? How long had she been on that weird airship boat thing.]

Eat up, oh groovy one. There are many adventures ahead. [And he followed his own advice as he began to eat, winking at her.]

Groovy? What time period are you from?

[She has heard people say things like 'far-out' or 'groovy' but it's usually ironically or by hipsters and she's trying to figure out which category he might fall into.

Freya flashes him a quick smile before grabbing a slice of pizza. She is very small, barely reaching 5 feet tall, and very thin, looking more like a toothpick than a fight, but she eats the first slice of pizza very quickly. Reaching for a second slice she decides to slow down and make it appear as if she has a normal appetite.]

Okay, so normal questions for a bit. Where are you from? Either where you were born or where you lived before here. [She isn't that picky.]
