Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!
2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon!
3. Event: The Faire's in town! Feast, socialize, dance, play games! There's plenty to do and the grounds on Mundus are packed with festivities for all to enjoy.
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!
Action
[Freya's experiance is that the Hidden are more contained than that though it might be different where Harry is from.]
Also monster is sort of a harsh overarching word don't you think? Most of the monsters I mean are regular people. [Then again people can do less damage than other things.] Oh! Another question. [She's getting too excited and so she doesn't give him time to reply to her first question.]
Why call them warlocks? I mean I know it's a name that's been around since who knows why but war-locks. Like they lock in war or is it just because people want the word wizard to be synonymous with good. [These are the things she thinks about.
Freya knows about the sort of guilt that Harry's talking about. Thinking back on it now, there is nothing she could have done but she's still the only one who lived.]
Re: Action
First, yes, I do. Second, it isn't mean to contain any harsh connotations, but I know some see it that way. Third, It's an old term and I have no idea why it came into use.
[He smiled to her.] I do what I do to help people.
Action
You are- [She pauses for effect.] interesting.
[Her head turns a few seconds before their pizza arrives. Freya has a very keen sense of smell and the delicious scent of pizza makes her stomach grumble audibly. Seriously when is the last time she ate something? How long had she been on that weird airship boat thing.]
Action
Action
[She has heard people say things like 'far-out' or 'groovy' but it's usually ironically or by hipsters and she's trying to figure out which category he might fall into.
Freya flashes him a quick smile before grabbing a slice of pizza. She is very small, barely reaching 5 feet tall, and very thin, looking more like a toothpick than a fight, but she eats the first slice of pizza very quickly. Reaching for a second slice she decides to slow down and make it appear as if she has a normal appetite.]
Okay, so normal questions for a bit. Where are you from? Either where you were born or where you lived before here. [She isn't that picky.]
Re: Action
[He smirked as he devoured a couple pf pieces quickly, then slowed down, and he noticed her own devouring. Yay, pizza lovers!]
Chicago. For both. [He raised an eyebrow.] And you?
Action
Some classics should stay in the past. [She isn't saying that Groovy is one of them but more as a general statement.]
Born in Montana and I've been traveling all over. I was heading towards Boston before this and was trying to make my way to up to Maine. I wanted to visit every state in the US but I'm three states short.
[She also travels with her backpack and no money so it's a lot of walking if she can't hitch a ride.]
Re: Action
[He Listened as he watched her eat and talk. She was a very bouncy, and intense person.]
I'm sure you'll make it, in time.
Action
I'm not really in a rush and I don't care if I don't do it. It was just something to do and by the time I had decided to actually track it I'd been to at least 30 of the states.
[She's been misplaced for a very long time.]
If you could revive anything from the... let's start with the 60's. What would it be?
Re: Action
No clue. I have no idea what was then versus now. [He shrugged.] I'm a casual picker of temporally lost words.
Action
[She likes strange words and happens to carry around a few dictionaries because it's fun.]
Why not travel? [Freya lifts her shoulders in a shrug.] I never have a reason to stay in one spot, just like how people can't find reasons to travel around. [The reason is far deeper than that but it isn't the sort of thing you share with someone after just meeting them. If it's shared at all.]
Re: Action
[Not that he's objecting, he's just curious as to why those. With a grin he nodded, devouring more pizza as he listened.]
Well, I hope you can adapt to living here. There's only five islands, not much place to move around.
Action
[Freya leans forward, waits and then swipes the last slice of pizza.]
Five is still pretty big. Technically there aren't that many island on earth. It just depends on perspective.
[she pauses, her head falling to the side and spilling golden bright hair over her shoulder.] Are there any forests around here? Wild life? I haven't seen much and when I saw forest I'm asking like Flathead forest size.
Action
[He considered her, and smiled, eyes bright.] You have beautiful eyes and hair.
[But his eyes still avoided hers directly.]
Action
Have you looked at my eyes? [She's noticed that his gaze always seems to be focused just away from meeting her eyes. She uses eye contact to try and guess what people are thinking and that's been almost impossible with Harry.]
And yes, I'd like you to show me.
[She'd probably explore it more on her own time.]
Re: Action
[He nodded to the empty pizza plate.] Well, then, when you are ready to go, we'll go.
Action
Yeah, that sounds like a bad idea.
[That and she's not comfortable with someone looking into her soul. There is too much she's hiding from the world to let someone so close.] I'm ready. [Freya quickly licks off each finger and then wipes her hand on a napkin. When she stands she makes sure that her backpack is comfortably seeded on her back and then pads behind Harry.]
Do you have a favorite place here? Unless this is it because it's pizza related. That's an acceptable answer.
Re: Action
I like the mountains. [He led the way to his outside and his staff became his bike once more, and he slid on, then grinned at her.]
Hop on, beautiful. Time to fly again.
Action
When his bike appears Freya slips behind him, wrapping her arms around his waist. Her head rests against his shoulder again.]
So we're taking the long way?
[It scares her a little but flying is awesome.]
Action
[This time, they zoomed down the road on the road for a bit, turning turns until he slowed again and pointed.] That is the candy shop.
Action
It looks cute.
[She doesn't know how much she'll have to blow on candy but seeing the sweets in the window makes her want some.]
Action
[The bike banked to the left and moved across the sky, where trees could be seen on the next island over.]
Action
[Freya leans forward, her light gray eyes glancing at Harry's cheek. She can't really turn to look at him.]
Am I suppose to know that? I was told a bunch of stuff... [She has to think back to remember. She'd been excited to head off and only sort of listened.]
Re: Action
[Harry had done this before. And her closeness made him grin. It didn't feel bad at all.
He cruised across the gap between islands, with below them, only air, and a distant shimmering that was cloudy to the eyes, blocking view of anything past it.]
Action
Let's see, there you go.
[Who says texting and driving is bad?]
I'm pretty good with maps... not so good with gps.
[Freya has a map, can read a map but she rarely kept things that needed a charge. They'd always lose their charge when she was in the middle of no where and it was to frustrating to keep carrying around.]
