Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!

2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon!

3. Event: The Faire's in town! Feast, socialize, dance, play games! There's plenty to do and the grounds on Mundus are packed with festivities for all to enjoy.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

Harry arched an eyebrow in doubt, but she was welcome to her secrets. "Okay. Ah, my place is a two bedroom. Do you want to bunk in the second bed? I tend to be out a lot, anyway, so I probably won't make that much noise."

he had been using it as a lab, but he didn't need the space, really.

Freya turned back towards him, eyeing him curiously. Slowly her lips break out into their usual smile.

"So you're saying we can have a sleep over with pillow forts and hot chocolate?"

Harry snerked, putting her picture inside the house and closing the door firmly.

"We can do that, too, if you like. But I just meant you can come live there, if you want someplace to hang your hat."

He nodded.

She knew what he meant but the levity helped her and at this point it was a part of her. "I'll make sure to buy a hat then." She teased as she moved back next to him.

"Wait but where do you live?"

"Eurus. It's a rockier and more mountainous island, to the southeast of here." He grinned "It's connected to the main island by a bridge, same as this one."

He settled on his bike again and smiled. "Want to fly, or drive? We can do either."

"If it's long enough we can do both."

She half skipped over to his bike, waiting for him to slid in behind him. This was one of those moments where she was happy that she was so small. It was easy to slip behind him.

"Maybe drive first? Where did you get this thing anyway? Or did you make it?" She moonlighted as an engineer but she had a feeling it was more akin to magic which she knew nothing about.

"Okay." He smiled as he kicked it into gear and they tooled forward down the avenue toward the edges of the islands. All roads led to the rainbow bridges.

"Sounds like a plan. And I made it with the help of a friend. Used the base model that was owned by an ally, then fixed it up and made it more than meets the eyes." He smirked.

"Okay you said a lot of words but barely said anything at all." She laughed and shook her head. It was hard to talk to him when she was behind him so she just tried to get her lips as close to his ear as she could.

"A friend, so someone. A base model of what? Owned by which ally? How did you fix it and turn it into a stick?" She was impressed but also curious.

Harry laughed. "I used an old antique World War One motorcycle, and me and my friend Elaine worked on restoring it together and she used a lot of baseline enchantments to bring it to good working order, and to make it work on magic. Then we finished it together, and i put more enchantments on it."

He smirked back at her as they turned a corner, seeing the bridge ahead, and he slowed as there was a lot of foot traffic here.

"We used an ally, Mac's shop, and magic, and I used a transposition spell, along with an alteration framework to do the transformation."

"Sounds like a lot of work. Why did you guys do all that?" Not that it wasn't really cool and useful. It was definitely classified as both of those things but it seemed like a lot of work.

"Or was it just practice? Like did you guys study magic together?" Now she's just thinking out loud but it made sense in her head.

"I wish I knew how to drive."

"Well, mainly because back then I couldn't get near real tech for very long. The field of magic around me is normally very anti-tech. These days, I'm better, but we needed an anti-tech vehicle for me to move around in. We started with an old machine, converted it to magic running, then went form there." He smirked as he cleared the Bridge, then kicked off the ground to sail slowly upward, and over the immediate area of Aerilon.

He banked them slowly East.

"You could learn. Probably. Not many vehicles here, but maybe."

"So gears over computer chips." She nodded her head. It was probably ironic that Freya could fix a car but not drive one. She'd always been interested in building machines and even now carried two textbooks in her backpack. She had the concepts inside of the books almost memorized and being a little bit of a loser has tried to build ridiculous things like a grappling hook from scratch.

"Yeah but I'd rather fix cars. I bet I could build a regular bike you could drive." She thought about it for a moment.

"Though I have no magic so it wouldn't top this and it'd be a torsion motor so you'd have to have magnets or wind it because you can set torque motors to wind themselves without magnets but as long as they are running they'll keep going. Those are also DC motors and marketing has mostly gone to AC." She paused realizing she'd been going on.

"Sorry, sometimes I don't stop talking."

"Actually, yes, and no. Even with this, it wouldn't work, save for the magic. Sometimes even dumb mechanical things break down around me. Not as much these days, but it still happens sometimes. MY world's magic is... not happy with science. Kind of a competing science, I think."

He nodded.

"I don't mind. Your talking is kind of cool."

"Kinda cool? I have the technical know how of someone from the 80's." She shook her head before pressing her cheek against Harry's back. He's too tall and it's hard to keep trying to look over his shoulder.

"So even gears wouldn't work? Or basic pullies?"

Sorry Harry but that sounded like it really sucked. Not that Freya spent a lot of time around technology, it was too expensive and she never held a full-time job, but she at least knew how to use the tech of the 20th century. Sometimes she wished she had a laptop, if only to use google. Then again, she would spend to much time on wiki. Wiki is dangerous.

"Very cool?" Harry grinned, and hmmmed as she pressed close, doing his best to ignore that. "Sometimes, yeah. Most of the time, these days, my magic has foiled the hex field. But it still slips through sometimes."

Harry smiled as he sent them zooming a little faster over some buildings in the main area, and streaming across the top of the castle, annoyed that he could not see down into it. "Somewhere, in there, the King and Queen live, and possibly know what the heck is going on."

"Sorta cool." She'd agree on that compromise.

When they fly over the castle Freya shifts to try and look down. She wasn't able to see anything either though her curiosity was peeked. "You haven't seen them? Maybe they don't know anything either?"

She really couldn't say.

"They apparently had an open house once, before I got here, but not since then, and as far as anyone else has said, no, they seem not to."

He sighed as he pointed the bike more directly toward the n ext island over, crossing the space between islands once more and glancing down. He always did.

Then they were on the next island, and he was touching down, letting the bike ride along the path that ran around the houses.

When they were over nothing Freya's grip would tighten around Harry. Most falls to the ground, even a mile up in the air, she'd live through. Falling off a space between floating islands was something that she didn't want to talk about.

"Sounds like their lives suck right now." Having a lot of weird people show up and demand answers. It didn't sound like a fun time though they were nice enough to open the doors once.

"Probably. They're still being sports, helping us out, letting us live in vacant houses, even helping us with a stipend at first, so we have time to get jobs. Hell, even just letting us get work here is risky, really, so, yeah. The King and Queen probably are nice people. Just with a lot of secrets, or trying to hide they don't know the answers either."

He chuckled. "Which I can understand, really."

He slowed and pulled up short in front of a brownish house. "Welcome to the humble abode." He slid off, then offered her a hand.

"Shall we?"

"I don't know about economy so I'll take your word for it." She really only knows a collection of random things and then about engineering. She found social structures and economy boring. Though sleeping through Econ 101 was the best sleep she's ever had.

Freya took Harry's hand, sliding from the bike and then wrapping her arm around his.

"Lead the way."

Harry smiled to her and led the way to his house, where he pressed his palm to the door and it slid open. The he led her in. The inside of his house was in light and dark greens, with a couch and a long end table next to it, then a hall leading back to the kitchen, bathroom, and a stairwell. "The bedrooms are upstairs. One is empty, so you can use it as long as you want."

He nodded.

"Thanks. This place looks homey."

She dropped her hand from his arm and began to look around curiously. Bright gray eyes inspected surfaces and colors while her keen scenes picked up on the scents that lingered in the house. Freya headed towards the stairs before pausing.

"Which one is the empty one? I assume you don't want me to randomly walk into your room."

"The green door is mine. It's also locked, so..." He grinned as he looked at her, then flopped on the couch.

"So, rest, flop. And welcome home." He didn't know what would happen with having a roommate, but this would be a new thing, and he could live with that.

Freya smiled. "Noted, don't go into locked doors." She waved a hand and disappeared up the steps. She totally tried to open every door upstairs, since he said his was locked, just to see where all the doors lead.

When she found the spare room she slipped inside, not bothering to lock her own door and flopped onto the bed. Her backpack stayed hooked around her arm and Freya quickly fell asleep. She'd only sleep for a few hours but it'd been night last she remembered which meant she had gone about 18 hours without sleeping.
