Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!

Possible Scenarios:

1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!

2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!

3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, Eurus, and now Nidus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right? Even if you have been stolen away from your home world to a bunch of floating islands.

4. Trouble!: All is quiet and calm when suddenly the warning signals across each of the islands sound. Not long after, or, at least only long enough to get prepared, a large hydra creature crawling out of the lake on Imber. Do what you can to help remove this threat before it gets to any of the other islands!

5. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

It's the screaming that gets his attention. It would get anyone's attention, really, but it's not that far from him, and then it's followed by repeated words in Spanish, words that express what seems to be the opinion of just about everyone when they first arrive here.

He wouldn't bother if it weren't obviously a child doing the screaming, but a child in distress is something he can't ignore. Then as he gets closer, he notices that she's punching the rocks but sustaining no apparent injury. That's interesting.

He addresses her in Spanish, since that's the one language he knows she knows right now. "There is no getting back. At least not yet." He's not saying it in a cruel tone. Rather it comes across as a message from someone who understands completely the desire to be somewhere other than here.

Laura punched the ground and then stopped. Her knuckles were stained with blood but as always she healed.

Her thin frame shook as his words pressed against her physice. There is no getting back. He couldn't know that, not unless they tried. They were finally going to be free and then... Laura gritted her teeth to try and stop the rage that filled her small frame.

"North Dakota." She looked back at Erik, her eyes looking more like an animal. "

He watches, again, as this happens, but still says nothing. It's not an ability that shows up very commonly. But he's not going to comment on it until he has more information.

"You're a long way from North Dakota." Or anywhere else familiar, seeing as she's from a world with North Dakota in it.

Laura glared at him. He wasn't being very helpful and her frustration rose with every second of confusion and anger that twisted inside of her. There was so much rage for someone so young.

She then began to list the name of her friends but unlike when she'd been talking to her father she added his name to the list; James. There was no way of knowing who she was talking about but it was now someone else she wanted to get back to. Yes, he was gone but he wasn't here, the future she paid for with blood wasn't here.

Glare at him all you want, Laura. He's used to it. He's also a master of anger, although he'd been older than she is when anger had first gotten its hold on him. He's not the one who can help her.

"Are you just going to keep beating those rocks up?"

Laura didn't reply to him, not verbally. She ran at him and as she moved her claws extended. She screamed as she attack him, fueling the strike with all of her frustration and rage. Laura had no problems with killing, she understood that it was a burden but she'd do what it took to survive.

Right now Erik looked like her enemy, someone who would keep her here when all she wanted to do was go home.

The trouble with someone coming at him with something metal is that he can quite easily stop them. He throws a hand up in the air and it's as if her claws have run into an invisible wall. He doesn't want to hurt her though, so he just leaves his hand raised, just in case.

"Just because you're not where you want to be, or with the people you want to find, doesn't mean there's no one here who can help you."

Like her father, Laura body if filled with the metal that cut her knuckles. She felt the hard jolt of Erik's power and was stuck, growling and screaming angrily at him. She had no idea how he had stopped her, she only knew the mutants that were her friends and the two that still happened to be alive.

"Take me home!" She shouted and fought his grip. Laura will eventually tire herself out but she had a lot of energy for a young girl and right now she thought that Erik was somehow the reason why all of this was happening.

"What are you doing?" Laura asked in a growl as she fought the resistance of her fist. If she was closer she'd kick him but her legs were to short.

"I'm trying to help you." He doesn't let up yet, because he recognizes the look on her face and knows that she won't stop, and if he lets her get anywhere near him, he'll end up hurt.

Charles is so much better at this.

"You won't be getting home for awhile. None of us will."

One final push and the force of Laura's attack lessons. She bows her head, allowing her weight to fall forward. Her arms continued to be held up but the moment he released her she'd fall back down to the ground.

"Why?" Laura was very smart for an eleven year old but she didn't understand it. They were finally free.

"Eden..."

He doesn't want to hurt her, even by letting go of her, so he gently lowers her arms until he's not holding her up anymore. "I don't know why. No one knows why we were brought here or why we haven't been allowed to leave."

That's a strange word. He knows what it means, of course (how could he not, after all?), but he doesn't understand it in the context of this conversation. "Eden?"

Laura felt her arm drop down to her side while her claws slowly retracted. She felt trapped but she wasn't cuffed or chained down like she had been in the past.

"We were all going to find Eden." Her voice sounded small, more like a child's. She began listing the names of her friends but this time she added her fathers name.

"I don't know where that is, but it's not here." At least, he's pretty sure that it's not. No one here has referred to this place as such, and he doubts it's anyone's idea of the concept of Eden.

Laura looked down at her hands and then turned away from Erik. She didn't really care who he was because she didn't think he'd understand. Her Eden was with her friends and the man she'd never see again.

"I know." With that she started to walk away and head back towards town.

He waits for a second and then follows her. "Those people that you're looking for, have you tried getting in touch with them on the network?" It's possible they're here and she doesn't know it.
