Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!
You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!
2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!
3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, Eurus, and now Nidus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right?
4. Trouble!: All is quiet and calm when suddenly the warning signals across each of the islands sound. Not long after, or, at least only long enough to get prepared, a large hydra creature crawling out of the lake on Imber. Do what you can to help remove this threat before it gets to any of the other islands!
5. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

It didn't take him too long to realize that his power wasn't quite where it typically was-especially the immortality. That was definitely gone, and while it was probably a wise decision on the part of whoever it was that brought him here in the first place, facing the gaping maw of snake-like things far larger than himself makes him wish he had it back now.
Wishes won't get him anywhere however, so he braces himself and tries to think of a plan.
'MY TURN!'
His attempts to think of a plan are very quickly thrown askew by the words he hears not far from where he's curled at the lake.
Observation one. That was a monocycle.
Observation two. That was a duel monster. And who the heck knew what sort of play that was (tuners??? synchros??? HE REALLY DOES NOT CARE), but.
But.] YOU'RE USING CARDS FOR THIS?! [he screeches despite himself, only to choke when the thing actually manages to lay a solid strike on the beast. The hydra roars in fury under the Wyvern's power, and all Noa can do is stare.
....What the hell.]
Re: 4
[Roared Jack as he did a neat backflip and roared downwards towards the Hydra driving vertically down the building.
The Hydra didn't like that attack at all, and it snapped at the Red Wyvern who weaved and dodged as Jack zoomed down towards the ground in a neat motion.
One of the heads spat fire at Jack and he threw in another card, having no time to set it. It was an illegal play technically, but Jack wasn't fighting a Duelist. A little cheating to save his skin was a good thing. And hey, fire breath was "technically magic" right?
Jack would hash out semantics later.]
Trap Activate! RED VANISH! When a Spell or Trap Card is activated, this card Negates the activation!
[A blast of energy erupted from the Trap card, binding the Hydra's mouth and it writhed angrily as Jack added,] Because I control a "Red" Monster, I can activate this card on the turn I Set it!
[Screeching to a halt next to Noa, he gazes over at the boy before saying,] Boy, if you have something to contribute, I will oblige. For now, our enemy awaits.
no subject
[If he was the sort to do it, he would flip a table right now. As it is, the snakes in his hair merely flare, sparks of electricity flying from his hands.] THE POINT WASN'T WHICH ONES IN THE FIRST PLACE-!
[Regardless-this thing isn't going to wait for turn order, and he knows it.] Our enemy awaits for nothing, [he retorts, slithering forward at a relatively quick pace. His mouth widens, and sparks gather as he rears up as high as he dares.] BETTER TO ATTACK AT WILL!
[With those words the lightning flies from his jaws-with something this big there's no telling how effective or un-effective it'll be...but it'll at least do something, and it'll at least buy SOME time, he hopes.
That's the most he can do fighting something like this, really.]

From my hand I summon the Tuner monster, Red Resonator!
[The monster burst into view as Jack took a flying leap and plowed into a Hydra's maw. It keened as he rolled down it's back, scarring its tough skin with rubber.]
I tune my level 6 Red Wyvern, with my level 2 Red Resonator!
[Shooting off the tail which whipped at him ineffectively, Jack soared into the air as the monsters dissolved into rings of light and stars.] Roar of the King! Shake the heavens and forge into yourself the power of the unrivaled tyrant! Synchro Summon! Rampaging Soul! Red Daemon's Dragon Scarlight!
[With a massive burst of heat and light, the Dragon resolved into being as Jack landed on the ground and skid to a halt. Throwing out his arm, he proclaimed,] Once per turn, Red Daemon's Dragon Scarlight can destroy all monsters with equal or less ATK than it has! ABSOLUTE POWER INFERNO!

'Get up on the Hydra's back' indeed. Noa's mouth is still stinging slightly from the last blast, but with a deep breath he moves to focus. White surrounds him, and his vision shifts as his body grows-armless but with wings, large enough to possibly stow Jack's bike inside its mouth...though to be fair, the thing has a pretty astonishingly sized mouth to begin with.
It is a great serpent, and as much as it seems grounded by its own weight, it offers one very distinct advantage in this situation.
He darts his head forward, and bites down, sinking his fangs as deep into one of the Hydra's necks as he possibly can.] NNNGGGHHHH...just quit already you stupid thing..! [He's talking to the Hydra, of course.]
no subject
[The monster turned in on the other heads, grabbing the Hydra around the neck as well. Jack drew another card and set it before activating it seconds before the Hydra threw the Dragon off and spat flames at it.] Trap Activate: King's Synchro!
When a Synchro Monster I control is targeted for an attack, I target the Synchro Monster and 1 Tuner Monster in my Graveyard to negate the attack!
[A shimmering wall shot up, defending Red Daemon's Dragon Scarlight from the attack, seconds before it dodged out of the way as the barrier broke.]
no subject
KGHH....Don't let any of them lose their heads, or we'll find out how close to myth this thing is! [It sure would be upsetting, after all, if they had MORE to deal with. Another bite down, and he tries to send more venom through the thing's system. It's massive after all-so one bite takes a bit to kick in. But if he can get this circulating properly...maybe, assuming it isn't immune, it can just give out.]
no subject
[Jack was grateful his Soul listened to him so well, and responded so eagerly. The Dragon roared a challenge, keeping the other heads at bay even with the other heads starting to lessen in thrashing.]
no subject
Good! [One more bite down; this would probably be easier if he had some way to administer the venom directly to the heart, but...well, he settles for testing his luck and hoping he finds arteries instead of veins. The hydra is certainly slowing at least-between the bonds and restraints, and the growing concentration of poison in its system, it's probably not going to last much longer.
Also good, Noa thinks-because he's not sure how much longer HE'LL last either.]
no subject
Red Daemon's Dragon Scarlight, make sure it doesn't run away.
[The Dragon nodded, going over to the pair and gesturing to Noa to release the Hydra so it could take over holding it down.]
no subject
Still. With determined, sharp eyes, the boy looks up, a few sparks coming off his hands. He probably has one last burst in him...
...if it comes to that...]
no subject
Jack shut down the D-Wheel and with it, the Dragon vanished. Getting off, he removed his helmet.]
Boy, are you all right?
no subject
no subject
[Replacing his deck into his carrying case, Jack held out his hand in greeting.]
Jack Atlas.
no subject
...Noa Kaiba, [he introduces. And then he waits-if this is someone with duel monsters, he's very much ready to shut down any 'THAT KAIBA?' questions, after all.]
no subject
A pleasure to meet you Mr. Kaiba. I'm glad you were a help here.
[There was no recognition in his voice. At all. Only one equal to another.]
no subject
You were fairly impressive yourself. I've never seen Solid Vision of that strength.
no subject
[Jack nodded.] Noa. I'm sure the authorities are coming to pick up the monster.
no subject
And ah yes. The hydra.] Mnh-should we remain until they arrive then?
no subject
We should. It would help our reputations.
no subject
[Wait so he didn't just.
Tack a duel disk on the arm-rest that was
what] ..........You have a solid vision generator...in your bike...
[He's torn between 'wow' and 'why' right now. Leaning toward 'why'.]
no subject
It is the ultimate expression of freedom!
no subject
Wait no that's all the time.] ...I see it wasn't just gameplay they were working on then, [he mutters under his breath after rubbing his forehead a moment.
Though, to be fair, it's a little hard for a snake to ride a motorcycle.]
no subject
[Because people knowing what it is was not uncommon anymore.]
