Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!

2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!

3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, Eurus, and now Nidus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right? Even if you have been stolen away from your home world to a bunch of floating islands.

4. Trouble!: All is quiet and calm when suddenly the warning signals across each of the islands sound. Not long after, or, at least only long enough to get prepared, a large hydra creature crawling out of the lake on Imber. Do what you can to help remove this threat before it gets to any of the other islands!

5. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

[Jack will attend to the boy later. For now, the Dragon maneuvers the Hydra into a literal sleeper hold. Without oxygen and venom pumping through its veins, the monster soon passes out in a snoring pile of tangled heads.

Jack shut down the D-Wheel and with it, the Dragon vanished. Getting off, he removed his helmet.]

Boy, are you all right?

Hhhahhhhh....as well as I can be, [he grumbles in reply, groaning as he attempts to 'stand'.] ...It's been...quite a while since I've been in a fight, let alone with something that large...

You did well. I was surprised that you could do such a thing, but it helped quite a bit.

[Replacing his deck into his carrying case, Jack held out his hand in greeting.]

Jack Atlas.

[noasark]

Hnn! I'm a 'monster', after all, [he replies, his voice caught somewhere between proud and self-deprecating. He is smiling all the same, somehow, and he meets the hand with his own to shake.] Being able to fight is something I need.

...Noa Kaiba, [he introduces. And then he waits-if this is someone with duel monsters, he's very much ready to shut down any 'THAT KAIBA?' questions, after all.]

[Jack only nods, the name not registering to him at all. Different Jack after all, but he smiled.]

A pleasure to meet you Mr. Kaiba. I'm glad you were a help here.

[There was no recognition in his voice. At all. Only one equal to another.]

[.............Mr............ His smile twitches somewhat with amusement, and he shakes his head.] Noa is fine-I'm also still a child, after all, [he chuckles, adjusting his glasses. Astonishingly independent, it's true-but somehow it just feels a little too much to hear a 'mr.' these days.]

You were fairly impressive yourself. I've never seen Solid Vision of that strength.

It's called Real Solid Vision. The Solid Vision was adjusted years ago to have Mass introduced into it. So there is also a rudimentary response for the monster as well.

[Jack nodded.] Noa. I'm sure the authorities are coming to pick up the monster.

[noasark]

Hmmnn... [He looks...intrigued, for once. Cards may not be his thing, but the tech potential is actually rather interesting...] I'm impressed it's holding out here; it has an independent engine from the older forms of Solid Vision then? [he asks, sounding less and less like he should be some sort of other worldly monster and more like someone properly involved in the business.

And ah yes. The hydra.] Mnh-should we remain until they arrive then?

My D-Wheel. [Jack gestured towards the bike which was cooling down from it's run.] I can generate Real Solid Vision within a large radius.

We should. It would help our reputations.

[noasark]

D-wheel...?

[Wait so he didn't just.

[He's torn between 'wow' and 'why' right now. Leaning toward 'why'.]

That's right, it's called a D-Wheel. A Duel Runner in other terms. It's a system for playing Riding Duels, duels of speed and skill on the open road.

It is the ultimate expression of freedom!

[noasark]

[..............................He feels the sudden intense need to murder the elder kaiba-

Wait no that's all the time.] ...I see it wasn't just gameplay they were working on then, [he mutters under his breath after rubbing his forehead a moment.

Though, to be fair, it's a little hard for a snake to ride a motorcycle.]

You're familiar with the game then?

[Because people knowing what it is was not uncommon anymore.]

With what's apparently a much earlier form, at least-I knew of the first series duel disk, and the cards of that time.

Ah I see. So I'm assuming Standard Duels then. That was something that most Commons indulge in when they are unable to afford Synchro Monsters.

[noasark]

[Uh.

He narrows his eyes.] ....Commons? [Standard, as far as he is aware, is referring to duels that do not have bikes involved.] ...I assume the 'next step up' in dueling would be out of the average man's pocket, thought.

Commons were the lower rung of society in City, until everything changed thanks to the efforts of some very good people.

[Better people than him, but Jack's shining endorsement of the new King of City, Yuya, was more than enough.]

Some of the Commons were able to build D-Wheels for competing in the Friendship Cup, and progress has worked towards the former Tops, the top of society, aiding the former Commons as well.

[noasark]

[...Well that's extreme. He does nothing more than sigh and adjust his glasses however, shaking his head.] Wonderful, [he mutters sarcastically] so we become even MORE stratified as a society...

...It's good to hear that isn't a permanent matter then.

We might not be from the same Dimension however. As I understand it, the world was once one Original Dimension, till a disaster split it into four. Fusion, Synchro, XYZ and Standard Dimensions.

For someone such as I who have been trying to enact change on a small gradual level, it was welcome.

[There was the rub.]

You broke him. The naga blinks, once. Twice. All four of the snakes on his head are assuredly staring, on that note-]

....They SPLIT into FOUR?

As far as I can tell. Four Dimensions, each by specific summoning methods in the game Duel Monsters which is a way of life in our respective Cities: City for Synchro, Heartland for XYZ, Academia for Fusion and Maiami for Standard.

He rubs his head. No...no, he's traveled through two different worlds, including one where he lived out his days blending human flesh in a blender for food.

He's not questioning a split into four dimensions.] Which means that was what you meant by 'standard' duels...

...I see Domino never survived then, [he says quietly.]

If it helps, I have never heard of "Domino" as a city before. If it was in our past, before the worlds were Four, then I can only imagine that it might have been part of the world before the split.

[Jack shook his head.] Do not worry. It is possible we are from completely separate Dimensions even outside of the former Original Dimension.

[noasark]

Domino was a district of Tokyo, to be fair; it wasn't quite a city on its own so much as a section of it along the coastline.

[And he grimaces.] I would think it doesn't matter anyway, given I died in my original one...

City is a fair ways away from Tokyo. It might not be part of it in my Dimension then.

[Mmm what to say about that. He seemed rather frustrated with that.] But you were given a second chance.
