Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!
You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!
2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!
3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, Eurus, and now Nidus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right?
4. Trouble!: All is quiet and calm when suddenly the warning signals across each of the islands sound. Not long after, or, at least only long enough to get prepared, a large hydra creature crawling out of the lake on Imber. Do what you can to help remove this threat before it gets to any of the other islands!
5. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!
Toph Beifong | Avatar: The Last Airbender
Toph stumbled woozily as she hit the docks and then made herself keep moving, only partially aware of things being shoved into her hands, until she could no longer feel wood under her feet. She hated wood. So she may have scrambled a little to find anything else, finally taking in a deep breath as she finally hit dirt. She shifted slightly, eyes never focusing on anything. It somehow made her look even smaller than she was, and almost vulnerable.
Right up until she dug her toes into the ground, planted her feet firmly underneath her, and opened her mouth, anyway.
"HEY!" She shouted at the top of her lungs. It was impressively loud. "What's the big idea putting me on some stupid boat?"
Video
[The camera flicks on clearly by accident, considering it's pointed firmly at the ground and might also be upside down. There's a female voice coming from offscreen.] --n't get what this thing is supposed to be. They told me it's supposed to talk or something but I don't hear anything.
[The camera spins wildly again, for just a second catching on what looks like a small teenaged girl before landing on a pair of bare feet.] Maybe it's broken. It feels weird.
Re: Toph Beifong | Avatar: The Last Airbender
That came from Tsukasa who took a picture of the flustered girl with a slightly amused expression, not that Toph could see it of course. "You're in another world. And it's not like this place is going anywhere any time soon."

"It's really quite amazing, but it's old hat to me."
no subject
"Oh, so you're crazy." She probably shouldn't punch him, then. Probably. Unless...Her hands tightened into fists. "Did you bring me here?"

"You could try at least pretending to make sense, then." If he didn't stop going on about worlds or whatever, Toph was going to kick him on principle. Lightly.
She did at least loosen her hands.
no subject
Geez. He was never good with these things.

"What, like the Spirit World?" Toph frowned a little. She wasn't afraid of much, but even she knew the Spirit World wasn't anything to mess with.

"It's not too bad here. Too quiet for my tastes though."

[the camera spun and Will got little dizzy watching her try and figure it out.]
Try using it when you're standing still. It might help. Your supposed to talk into it. Hold it up to your face, about a foot away.
Re: Video
[The entire thing jolts like the person holding it just physically startled] Okay, so it does talk. That's...weird.
[And after a small hesitation, the phone does rise. Still pointed in the wrong direction.] Like that?

Toph. Why am I moving this thing if you can hear me?

[A deeply inelegant snort] Not gonna do me much good. You said this thing is a...phone?

It's some sort of contraption that's supposed to allow people to talk over long distances. It isn't possessed or anything. We do the talking.
Re: Video
Possessed? What's that supposed to mean?
Video
[He watches the video for a moment, blinks.]
You are serious. [And he shakes his head, deciding this girl is rather innocent.] Demons. They weasel their ways into all sorts of things, people mostly, but objects too, sometimes. This isn't one of them.
Re: Video
What, like spirits? They don't usually get into boxes. Do your demons do that?
Video
Re: Video
Nice? If you like getting your face stolen, sure.
Video
[He doesn't really know much about spirits honestly.]
That...doesn't sound particularly nice, no, but it's no worse than massacre and world domination, really.
