Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!

2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!

3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, Eurus, and now Nidus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right? Even if you have been stolen away from your home world to a bunch of floating islands.

4. Trouble!: All is quiet and calm when suddenly the warning signals across each of the islands sound. Not long after, or, at least only long enough to get prepared, a large hydra creature crawling out of the lake on Imber. Do what you can to help remove this threat before it gets to any of the other islands!

5. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

"I'm managing," he agreed with a more honest smile. He certainly wasn't going to tell her otherwise, anyway. "You know your version of me pretty well, huh?"

"Well, not personally," admitted Kamala. "I know he's pretty great and he's done a lot of stuff, sponsored a ton of schools and funded fields in science, robotics and what not. It's just that he's been in the public eye for such a long time, it's hard to ignore his achievements."

"I'm just a small time superhero in Jersey," she continued, placing her hand on the nearby post. "I came into my powers six months ago, and I still feel out of place. And then I discover that people have their eye on me, that I'm making a difference. Even Wolverine said I had what it takes to be a hero. And I've always... fought hard, to be accepted. Which is why I look up to my Tony, and I hope I can do the same."

"Well, it is very impressive, yes," Strange said, not entirely immune to the praise of others. Actually, he loved it when people praised him, no matter how much he'd grown as a person recently.

"You seem to know an awful lot about superheroes and that sort of thing, even for a precocious teenager," Strange said, narrowing his eyes at Kamala. "Shouldn't you be obsessing about bands or something? Please tell me you're at least not the sort to write real person fiction about them?"

Kamala was about to reply that she grew up in a world where superheroes were a daily thing but the last bit stopped her cold with a "Uhhhh..." followed by a "they're actually really well received at least I mean I get at least 100 views in one hour..."

Shaking off her embarrassment at Stephen's accurate jab at her life, she added, "My world's full of superheroes, Thor, Captain America, Black Panther, Iron Man, that sort of thing."

"That's usually the first step," Tony said, feeling slightly warmed for reasons he didn't feel like naming. And people said his ego didn't need feeding. "Wanting to make a difference, I mean. Getting powers probably helps. Or making yourself some."

"Not hell. Just the mirror dimension," he said, for the first time fully turning his attention to Mr. Stark. It seemed that the other man was right, there was no immediate way out of the place. This might require a bit more research but not right now

"Since I am trapped here for the moment I don't suppose you happen to know a good place to get a drink around here?"

"Yeah. Coming into my powers was really strange, to be honest."

Holding up her hand, it enlarged to the size of a basketball briefly, glowing a soft yellow light. "When I first got my powers, I was kind of afraid. Like I wasn't myself, so I hid myself as one of my favorite heroes. But over time, I began to make a name for myself, even if I was using a name that had been given up previously for another."

Her hand shrinking down, Kamala smiled. "Carol, I mean Captain Marvel, said she was proud of what I did. She even gave me this pendant with our intertwined symbols on it to signal her when I needed help. It feels nice... to be acknowledged, you know?"

"...sure?" Tony stared. Maybe someday he'd actually get an explanation for anything that was going on here. "There are plenty of bars. But first maybe you can tell me who they hell you are?"

"Of course they are," he said with a bit of a sigh, pressing his fingers to the bridge of his nose for a moment before he recovered. Everyone had their own pursuits and it wasn't as if he was blameless of ridiculous behavior as a teenager.

"I suppose there worse things you could be idolizing. And we have all of those in my world as well though I haven't had the pleasure of meeting them formally."

"Doctor Stephen Strange, sorcerer. Of the Earth realm I suppose I should add," he said, relieved that at least he'd be able to get a drink around here. Of course paying for it might get tricky but Stark was a billionaire, wasn't he?

"Maybe we should run." Trip turned, but pushed Padmé in front of him, so he was between her and the statue. He risked a look behind him, to see the statue was teetering more. If it fell over it could fall back or on top of them. Which he was sure wouldn't do them any good.

"Well... they get tons of views and I climb to the number one slot on the BleedingCool Website... but that's not the thing here."

Clearing her throat, Kamala shrugged helplessly. "The thing is, kids of my generation have grown up with superheroes since we were born. Some of us even have powers depending on ancestry and stuff, so it's not surprising we enjoy superhero stories."

He blinked briefly at her giant, glowing fist, then shook himself out of it. Right. Not the point.

"I can understand that," Tony agreed, even if he didn't know what a Captain Marvel was. He certainly still wasn't trying to get his father to acknowledge him twenty years after it was too late. "People don't like to admit it, but validation is important."

"Strange." He wasn't kidding. "Okay. So, drink?" It kind of seemed like they were both going to need it.

"Yeah, you're right. I just feel like everything came together, when it was needed." Kamala managed to smile at that as she sighed deeply.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to feelings dump all over you, Mr. Stark, I just somehow felt like I needed to talk. I don't get to talk much with my fellow heroes, they don't really come into Jersey much at all. It's just me there."

"Don't worry about it," Tony said, waving a hand between them and flashing her a grin, "I'm a champion babbler myself on occasion. And you might as well call me Tony. If we're both going to be stuck here."

"Ah, okay Tony. Then you can call me Kamala." She's never really been on a first name basis with any hero, other than Carol to be honest.

It felt nice, like she was important again.

"Thanks. I guess I should make sure those thieves didn't escape and were brought into custody though. Police response time here is kind of different from Jersey, especially when I'm not on a first name basis with them."

He's usually only on Nidus when he's making use of the Danger Room (since he neither lives nor works there), but sometimes when he's leaving the Danger Room, he'll stop in one of the businesses before heading for home.

Which is how he ends up coming across someone who seems to have no specific destination in mind. "Are you looking for something?"

"Mostly looking around," said Kamala almost in an absent tone as she looked around the city blocks. "This place is a hodgepodge of other worlds, and I really wanted to check it out."

Gesturing towards the Institute in the distance Kamala asked, "Is that really the X-men Mansion? It looks a lot different than the Jean Grey Institute but then again, that place has blown up like six times already..."

Laura looked up at the girl and growled. It was her first reaction when being told not to do what she'd been doing.

She didn't speak but she stopped hitting the ground and sat back to look at the shifting clouds beneath them. Her knuckles rested on her knees, covered in blood but without a scratch on them.

"Qué deseas." She spoke in a very soft voice, her words sharp.

"Hey, whoa, I'm just saying. And uh, that's Spanish so um... I just wanted to help? I mean, there's a limit to just screaming and punching rock will do. I mean, it's not productive, you can hurt yourself but it looks like you've got that covered..."

This was a little frustrating in some ways, but Kamala's somewhat mediocre grasp of Spanish was at best, floundering.

Why can't she speak Urdu? Urdu I know...

"I'm Ms Marvel, I'm a superhero. Can I help?"

Laura can understand the other girl just fine. Her English wasn't perfect but it was enough to communicate. She simply choose to say very little or nothing. She didn't like people learning about her.

She pulled her backpack a little closer when the girl mentioned super heroes. Her chin feel a bit while her eyes remained fixed on the space in front of her. She didn't want to look at the other girl when she spoke again.

"Like X-Men." They were heroes.

"Yeah the X-Men," said Ms Marvel, nodding. "The X-Men are pretty good heroes, and they help people. Is there something I can help you with? Besides going home, cause I don't exactly have the brain of a super genius."

She hoped it wasn't just going home she was wanting. Cause Kamala couldn't really answer that.

Tony huffed a laugh. "Everything is different here. But good luck with that, Kamala. I guess I'll see you around." He paused. "The Avengers Compound -- I don't know if you have one those -- is on Nidus. Swing by some time, I'm almost always there."

"We've got one but it's in LA," replied Kamala. "But thanks, Tony, I'll see you around! I'm sure I can find it."

How many buildings with a giant A on it would be around this place anyhow?
