Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!

2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!

3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, Eurus, and now Nidus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right? Even if you have been stolen away from your home world to a bunch of floating islands.

4. Trouble!: All is quiet and calm when suddenly the warning signals across each of the islands sound. Not long after, or, at least only long enough to get prepared, a large hydra creature crawling out of the lake on Imber. Do what you can to help remove this threat before it gets to any of the other islands!

5. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

The trouble with someone coming at him with something metal is that he can quite easily stop them. He throws a hand up in the air and it's as if her claws have run into an invisible wall. He doesn't want to hurt her though, so he just leaves his hand raised, just in case.

"Just because you're not where you want to be, or with the people you want to find, doesn't mean there's no one here who can help you."

Like her father, Laura body if filled with the metal that cut her knuckles. She felt the hard jolt of Erik's power and was stuck, growling and screaming angrily at him. She had no idea how he had stopped her, she only knew the mutants that were her friends and the two that still happened to be alive.

"Take me home!" She shouted and fought his grip. Laura will eventually tire herself out but she had a lot of energy for a young girl and right now she thought that Erik was somehow the reason why all of this was happening.

"What are you doing?" Laura asked in a growl as she fought the resistance of her fist. If she was closer she'd kick him but her legs were to short.

"I'm trying to help you." He doesn't let up yet, because he recognizes the look on her face and knows that she won't stop, and if he lets her get anywhere near him, he'll end up hurt.

Charles is so much better at this.

"You won't be getting home for awhile. None of us will."

One final push and the force of Laura's attack lessons. She bows her head, allowing her weight to fall forward. Her arms continued to be held up but the moment he released her she'd fall back down to the ground.

"Why?" Laura was very smart for an eleven year old but she didn't understand it. They were finally free.

"Eden..."

Kamala Khan | Ms Marvel

[5 Wild Card]
This is Medietas. My new "home" so to speak.

Not like I have a home to go back to, if I was to be all honest.

My name, is Kamala Khan, I'm a Inhuman, and I guess this is my new life now: kicking and punching bad guys on an island that has minimal amounts of crime from day to day. With my world coming to an end, I guess I should be grateful something plucked me from the jaws of, well, ending.

But people are the same no matter where you go. Look at these guys, trying to break into a building. Not on my watch. First, Superhero Landing.

With a thud, Ms Marvel slammed to the ground, knee bent, fist down as the thieves whirled on her. "Hey, didn't anyone tell you guys that stealing is wrong?" she quipped before embiggening one of her hands and ramming it into a still-surprised man.

Oh yeah, nailed it. WHOA!

Dodging backwards from the thrown knives, Kamala leaped up and brought down her foot in a drop kick, accelerating her mass as she did so. The fight was short and while Kamala nursed a bit of a nick on her arm, the men were down and the contents of their packs rummaged momentarily.

"I'll just leave you losers for the police," said Kamala smugly as she embiggened and leaped away after tying them up with some rope she had found in their packs.

Anyway, this is my life now. Ms. Marvel, champion of the floating isles. has a nice ring to it I suppose.

Landing a block away, she sighed as she sat down on a nearby rooftop. "Well, I suppose this is easier than keeping Jersey's streets clean."

[2. Islands]
Looking around Nidus proved to be enlightening, with all of these fancy ships, houses and buildings everywhere. Some familiar like Avengers Tower, some not like the weird and terrifying maze.

It was here that Kamala was wandering around aimlessly, poking her head into shops and checking places out. If you're a shopkeeper, maybe help her out when she's running around your place? And if you're a semi-familiar face, she'll wave at you.

"Whoa, whoa, calm down!" Exclaimed a voice from above. Standing there, was a girl dressed in red and blue, with a yellow lightning bolt splashed across the front. She was sitting at the top of the rock face, a worried expression on her face.

"You're going to hurt yourself," said Ms Marvel, a look of concern on her face. "And screaming into the abyss isn't going to help: believe me I've done it already."

There's a girl, a short, pakistani girl standing there with a scrutinizing gaze for a long moment at Stephen. He looked the part, and the cape is a dead give away. But still, for a long moment, she wondered if she was imagining things, and if the apocalypse had redesigned Stephen as Cummerbatch.

But instead, she walked up to Stephen at the lake and waved. "Hi, um, forgive me if this is rude but are you Dr. Strange? Inquiring minds wanna know."

One of the shops that Kamala would have poked her head into would be Steve Roger's Patriot Portraits.

And the man himself is in the main area of the gallery, doing a painting for the walls. This one is of the Brooklyn Bridge in the daytime, the sky that perfect blue seen in the fall, and a ferry from the 30s skimming across the water.

Steve notices Kamala, and sets his paint brush down, standing up as he wipes his hands on a paint-streaked rag. He was dressed in a t-shirt and jeans today, his button-down shirt tossed over the back of his chair.

"Hello. May I help you?"

"Oh uh yeah, I'm new here and kinda looking around," said Kamala, stepping inside and taking a moment to blink at Steve. He looked kinda like Chris Evans? But not? Like way more buff than she expected but...

"Oh, I'm being rude. I'm Kamala Khan. Nice to meet you." said Kamala with a smile. "This is your place?"

Steve smiled as he nodded. "Steve Rogers. A pleasure. And yes, it's mine. So you're new, Miss Khan? Welcome to Medietas."

He offered a hand for her to shake. "The floating islands part is a bit hard to take at first. Everything else can be adjusted for."

Steve looked him over and nodded. "I would have remembered you if I've seen you here since I arrived. Name's Steve Rogers. And you are?"

He didn't know Stephen by sight but would recognize his name and that would be about it.

She shook, but had a big, wide eyed surprised look on her face. Ignoring the second part for a moment, she stammered out, "Steve Rogers? You look... I mean... you're not a grandpa... Sorry, that was rude, let me restart."

His grip was amazing though, and she shook firmly. "I just... this is a lot to take in, because where I come from, you're kind of... old, and shrivly, and got a cane and everything. I'm from Jersey, so I've seen all of the Avengers before growing up but uh... did anyone tell you, you look a lot like Chris Evans?"

Smooth self. Real smooth.

Steve's face froze for a moment, but that perfect eyebrow winged up as Kamala finished her blurt.

"A cane? What, did they manage to get all the serum out? And who is Chris Evans?"

"Uh, in order, you're old, a fight you, or Captain America had with another guy drained the serum and stuff happened and now you're unofficially teamed up with Deadpool last I checked and uh... Chris Evans is an actor? Really good one, when he gets the right role."

Kamala shrugged helplessly. "Honestly, I get about 90% of my info from Deadpools Tumblr. So I don't know how accurate it is to be honest."

"I would imagine that yes, I would need a cane if I didn't have the serum. I am ninety-five. Or was when I arrived here." He grinned.

"I'm going to assume that you met a different version of me since I have no clue who Deadpool is. I know Tumblr, but that's Darcy's area, not mine."

"That explains a lot yeah," said Kamala, finally grinning along with Steve.

"Yeah, Steve Rogers in my world is... well, he's Stern. Super stern. He's like the big man who people stand up and pay attention to cause he's basically an On Field Commander 24/7. He's kinda extra in that regard." She smirked. "Deadpool is... Deadpool. He's known as the Merc with a Mouth which means he's kind of crazy but startlingly reliable for info. And I guess Tumblr is universal."

Tony generally tried not to get too carried away with it, but sometimes a man just had to take his suit of armor and go for a joyride. Being in the armor genuinely did soothe his nerves more than a little, which was something he tried not to think about too hard. He'd been accused of having too many attachment issues as it was.

But flying generally lower than he liked, thanks to the forcefield, meant that he at least got an excellent view of the fight going on below, once the sensors pulled his attention to it. Something about a girl beating up a group of men would do that. But she...seemed to be holding her own. Better than, really. No reason to step in.

He did keep an eye on her, though, if nothing else than because that definitely wasn't baseline human movement. When she finally came to a stop, he gave into the urge to duck in closer.

"That's probably because it's Jersey," he said as he dropped gently down a little bit away from her. Let's not startle the apparent super-human.

The soft clang rang in Kamala's ears as Tony dropped down, but the voice was... familiar? Turning around, Kamala's stance dropped to a relaxed, if surprised look. "Oh wow... um, hi? Iron Man, Mr. Stark I didn't think this was your territory. Or wait, there's a bunch of people here and I needed to work out some stress and I saw these guys breaking in and... yeah."

She grinned sheepishly at the man in red and added, "Would it really be remiss of me to say that your suit looks awesome right now? Like it's all lit up and it's dark and I think I haven't seen it up this close in a while and I needed to ask if there was a scholarship last time but then things happened and wait... if you're here, does that mean you're from MY universe or the universe one over where Steve Rogers looks like Chris Evans? Because if you look like, I dunno, Robert Downey Jr. then I'm totally okay with that just fyi and did I mention I'm Ms Marvel if we're going through this?"

"Uh," Tony said intelligently in response to the onslaught. It took a moment or so to pick through what to even answer first. "I..don't think we've met, so I'm going to guess not the same universe?" And wasn't that a headtrip. But she did seem concerned about what he looked like, so after just a brief hesitation, he reached up to pull off the helmet and tuck it under one arm.

"And I wouldn't say it's my territory. Or anyone's. I was just passing through," he said, gesturing to the sky overhead with his free hand.

"Uh...huh," Tony said, trying not to look as unnerved as he felt. He'd been around Thor's general weirdness, he could handle that. Loki had been a little more unsettling, for the brief amount of time he'd had to deal with that weirdness, but at least he could just kick the guy,

This was something else entirely. "Like I said. No one can get out. And people have been trying, believe me."

Oh wow he does look like Robert Downey Jr. Man, why are all of these other world heroes I know look so hot I mean awesome I mean really cool?

"I guess you're right, on both things. Lemme start again. I'm Ms Marvel, a superhero from another world, and you are Tony Stark, am I right? Billionare playboy philanthropist? You're kind of a big deal where I come from." Kamala held out her hand for a shake as she added, "It's kinda nice to see familiar things in this world at any rate."

Steve was intrigued to hear of his other self from a different universe, and he was grateful that at least this one he knew wasn't him all the way. And to imagine how he could have been was a bit of a mind bender. Though to be completely honest, he wasn't that mind-bent about it. He does hang out with a God and the Hulk who grows from a 5'9" skinny guy to well over seven feet and more muscles than him.

"It's the little things that can change a person." He nodded at the description of Deadpool, noting the information. He might need it later, might not. Never knew in this place.

"Well that's good to know. And yes on all counts," he said with a flash of a smile as he reached to (gently) take her hand. More than one world where he was Iron Man. That felt good, actually.

"So you know me and you know Cap," Tony added, eyes narrowing in consideration. "What about Thor? Or Black Widow?"

Considering Deadpool in this place would be pure madness, she didn't even.

"Yeah, he's pretty cool but in sort of a gruff general sort of way. But you own this cool painting place and I really like it. Did you do everything yourself?" she asked, gesturing at all of the paintings in the building.

"I'm not that good at art but I'm really into this sort of thing."

She shook firmly with a grin. Nodding at his question, Kamala replied. "Yeah, I do know them actually. Wait, we talking classic Thor, or the woman Thor? There's a new Thor in my area now and she's like this tall viking lady with really awesome boots. And Black Widow, I definitely know that name as well. I'm pretty sure we're from parallel worlds which is kind of comforting in that manner."

Which meant she didn't have someone to commiserate with since her own world ended.
