Welcome to Medietas! Have an interest in joining the game? Maybe you have an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, maybe you're just looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You've just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon, via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!

2. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see!

3. Event: Teams are being put together to venture out deep into the islands of Eurus and Mulciber to track and destroy a vicious beast who has been the reason for the disappearances of several island locals. Please help stop the creature before anyone else goes missing!

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

"Missiles are covered in metal, I fail to see how that was remotely dangerous for you. Catch them and send them into the ocean. Not every situation has a good outcome, but not every situation has to turn out bad, either."

There was more to the story, she was sure, but it didn't matter. "There are very few situations where dealt force is necessary."

[frankensteinian]

"Of course there was no real danger." That had been the humans' problem, when they decided on this plan. Apparently seeing a submarine pulled out of the water hadn't given them enough of an idea of why sending missiles wouldn't work the way they wanted it to.

It's apparent that they're not actually getting anywhere with this. He's not in a mood to argue it right now. He has no reason to trust humans, and plenty of reason not to. Anyone who thinks otherwise doesn't really have an idea of what he's been through.

"Your aunt and uncle, did they raise your siblings too?"

Letting the subject go was fine with Lorna. She hasn't expected to gain any traction and it was exhausting to be on the defensive. "No. They were my father's children, but not my mother's. He didn't even know about them until years later. They were also raised by humans." Magical humans, but was close enough.

[frankensteinian]

"Your fa--" But wait. "You mean your stepfather, your mother's husband?" That doesn't make sense either though.

[magneticxman]

"No. Your future children are all raised by humans. We all-" she stopped and shook her head. They all wanted peace in their own ways. "I don't know why the twins weren't raised by you and their mother, but I do know that they were raised by gypsies."

[frankensteinian]

Well he did open this door. It's just that this is a lot to take in all in one day. "Twins? ...Gypsies?"

[magneticxman]

"Yeah. Like, two kids at once, raised by people who travel as a way of life. I don't know if there are any more of us out there," but she assumed there were. "You got around, apparently."

[frankensteinian]

"I know what twins and gypsies are." That's not the issue here. "Who was their mother?"

[magneticxman]

"I think her name was Magda? Something like that, anyway. I don't know much about it, the twins and I don't get along." Which was something of an understatement.

[frankensteinian]

He doesn't respond to that. He doesn't want to think about another woman named Magda, now left behind in a forest in Poland, and who knows what will happen to her there?

It can't be any worse than what already happened to her.

"You know a lot about people you don't get along with."

[magneticxman]

Lorna leaned in, like she was imparting a great secret. "It's because people are assholes. Or at least most people related to me are." To be fair, she was also quite capable of being an asshole.

[frankensteinian]

"So who are these two?" Not that it's likely to mean anything to him. He's been disconnected from the mutant world for a decade, after all.

[magneticxman]

"Pietro and Wanda. Pietro moves super fast and Wanda controls reality. Pietro also has a daughter who's human."

She shrugged. "This isn't even the weirdest mutant family tree."

[frankensteinian]

"Moves really fast, never stops talking?" Nothing else so far has been a coincidence; he'd guess this isn't either.

If only he'd had some idea then. Not that there's a reason to think anything would have been any different.

[magneticxman]

"Complete pain in the ass? Yeah, that's him." Interesting that Pietro was the child he'd met. The two were a lot alike.

[frankensteinian]

"We've met." There must be a time aspect to all of this too. The kid he'd met was not old enough to have a kid of his own. At least not at that time. He'd never said anything about a sister, either, but it's not like they'd chatted about their lives or anything.

Now that all of that has been covered pretty well, he still has some other questions. "Your child. Her father. What of him?"

She'd had this conversation a couple times now, but it never got easier. She fidgeted in her seat and took a couple bites of her food. "He's not here," she said. It was the truth, regardless of who'd actually fathered her child.

[frankensteinian]

Well it had been a rather personal question to ask someone he's just met, even if that person is his...daughter.

"You said you've been here before?"

[magneticxman]

"I have. This is my third time arriving and I hope to stay put this time." Thank goodness they were off the subject of Erika's father. It was not one of her finest moments, even if it was her happiest mistake.

[frankensteinian]

Just because he has dropped it for now doesn't mean he won't come back to it at some later point. "So there's no way to know even how long I might be here."

[magneticxman]

"No. We seen to come and go at random. I guess it just depends on whatever per brought us here." She shrugged and put her fork down. "I recommend getting settled. The garden center hires a lot of us and there are a few other businesses that all seem like fine places to work."

She wasn't sure what she would do. Being so pregnant was exhausting on its own, adding work to that made it so she couldn't do anything else.

The garden center. He's not sure he wants to work there. But he's not sure where else he would want to work either.

"When you say us, do you mean mutants, or people who live here?"

[magneticxman]

"People who were kidnapped here. There are natives, and they seem to accept us." So far, anyway. She hoped it would remain that way.

[frankensteinian]

"The people who were kidnapped here, they never cause problems? They were in one place, then suddenly they're in another. That sounds like ideal condition for some resentment." He certainly has never been thrilled to be held prisoner somewhere.

[magneticxman]

Lorna shook her head. "No. We've all behaved, more or less. Everyone's tried to escape, but nobody has thrown a tantrum."
