Welcome to Medietas! Have an interest in joining the game? Maybe you have an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, maybe you're just looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You've just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon, via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!

2. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see!

3. Event: Teams are being put together to venture out deep into the islands of Eurus and Mulciber to track and destroy a vicious beast who has been the reason for the disappearances of several island locals. Please help stop the creature before anyone else goes missing!

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

"The people who were kidnapped here, they never cause problems? They were in one place, then suddenly they're in another. That sounds like ideal condition for some resentment." He certainly has never been thrilled to be held prisoner somewhere.

[magneticxman]

Lorna shook her head. "No. We've all behaved, more or less. Everyone's tried to escape, but nobody has thrown a tantrum."

[frankensteinian]

"So do you have any advice other than settle in, I could be here for awhile?"

[magneticxman]

"Wear a condom," Lorna said with a snort. "God knows two of us is too many already."

[frankensteinian]

He's suddenly more prickly than he was before. He does not find this as amusing as she apparently does. "I don't think that's anything I need to worry about anytime soon."

[magneticxman]

"Seriously? Have you seen a mirror?" Lorna asked, her eyebrows raising as she fought to contain her giggles. He ought to be uncomfortable. It served him right for how uncomfortable he made her feel.

[frankensteinian]

"Twenty minutes ago, when I was upstairs." Just because someone is interested doesn't mean he is. At the moment, anyway.

They may need to have this conversation again in a few months.

[magneticxman]

The single population isn't very high along the kidnapped, so she isn't terribly worried about it. Hopefully his personality will be effective birth control. "So when are you from anyway?"

[frankensteinian]

His loss is too recent to be going out and looking for that sort of thing, anyway. He's not as young as he used to be, either. "1983. I was in Poland."

[magneticxman]

"Poland?" Lorna asked, because that wasn't where he'd been then in her universe. "So we are definitely from different universes. I mean, unless you were just passing through. According to Charles's notes about you in my universe you were in Israel then."

Knocking her mom up.

[frankensteinian]

"I wasn't just passing through. I had been living there for ten years." Lying low, evading capture, being a fugitive, whatever.

"Charles has notes about me?"

[magneticxman]

"Huh. Yeah that's different." Lorna said, trying her best not to say why Charles had notes on Erik. It wasn't a conversation that was likely to end well.

[frankensteinian]

"Apparently that kind of thing can happen." According to the events in 1973, at least, when they were attempting to change the future.

"Does Charles have notes on others too, or does he only feel like he needs to keep an eye on me?"

[magneticxman]

Well, that went as well as she'd expected. "He has files on a lot of people." Which was technically true. "All of his students, his teachers, various other people of interest." Mass murderers, wanna be dictators, assholes.

[frankensteinian]

"What does he do with all of this information he has on people?" He's not sure he trusts the motives there.

[magneticxman]

"I don't know what he does with it. I do know we used it for missions now and then, when the information was pertinent."

[frankensteinian]

"You've seen these files?" Obviously she must have, or how does she know they exist?

[magneticxman]

Lorna nodded. "It helps to know teammates' strengths and weaknesses to balance out teams and use everyone to their best advantage. I've never looked a team of X-Men, but I attended strategy meetings often enough."

[frankensteinian]

"That sounds like something Charles would do." He thinks it can all be boiled down to one thing or the other, when in fact it's much more complex than that. "He didn't just do this for teammates."

[magneticxman]

"That's correct." Lorna said, looking down at her fork. "Do you really want to know about a future that has nothing to do with you?"

[frankensteinian]

"It might not even be the future of where I come from." Since it has been established that they're from different versions of the same place.

[magneticxman]

"Yeah. I'm pretty sure it's not. Which works out in your favor. It means I don't really know you." Which was something of a relief, really.

[frankensteinian]

"If I'm that bad, I'm surprised you even want to." He knows he's not exactly popular among certain segments of the mutant populations, but he won't apologize for that.

[magneticxman]

Lorna shrugged. "Nobody's entirely evil. I have faith in humanity and that includes you. You've made mistakes and poor choices, but so have I and so has everyone alive. I won't give up on you, despite it all."

[frankensteinian]

Charles has expressed similar sentiments, and it surprises him to hear it from someone else. Charles' reasons for thinking so are easy to brush aside, but he's not sure what to do with this. "There are those who would tell you you're wasting your time."
