Welcome to Medietas! Have an interest in joining the game? Maybe you have an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, maybe you're just looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You've just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon, via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!

2. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see!

3. Event: Teams are being put together to venture out deep into the islands of Eurus and Mulciber to track and destroy a vicious beast who has been the reason for the disappearances of several island locals. Please help stop the creature before anyone else goes missing!

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

"Yeah. I'm pretty sure it's not. Which works out in your favor. It means I don't really know you." Which was something of a relief, really.

"If I'm that bad, I'm surprised you even want to." He knows he's not exactly popular among certain segments of the mutant populations, but he won't apologize for that.

[magneticxman]

Lorna shrugged. "Nobody's entirely evil. I have faith in humanity and that includes you. You've made mistakes and poor choices, but so have I and so has everyone alive. I won't give up on you, despite it all."

[frankensteinian]

Charles has expressed similar sentiments, and it surprises him to hear it from someone else. Charles' reasons for thinking so are easy to brush aside, but he's not sure what to do with this. "There are those who would tell you you're wasting your time."

[magneticxman]

"Those people can eat a dick," Lorna said with a shrug. "Because I've seen a version of you that wanted to be a good father, and that's an important piece of actually being a good father."

[frankensteinian]

"Only one version?" Though now he's wondering how many versions of him there are.

[magneticxman]

"so far. I haven't met many. The one from my home and two others. Plus you. I only met one of them once, so that should taken into account."

[frankensteinian]

"It sounds like you've been to a lot of places." So has he, apparently, or at least versions of him.

[magneticxman]

Lorna sighed and put her chin in her hand. "Too many, I think. I was kidnapped the first time over a year ago. First it was a space ship, that's where I got pregnant, then here. Then here again and now today. I want to stay here, it's been the quietest so far and this is a safe place to raise Erika, whether she's a mutant or not."

That sounds like quite the story. Maybe one day he'll hear the whole thing. "Where did you go in between all of those places?"

[magneticxman]

"Nowhere. Just. . . poof from one place to the next." She shrugged. "I don't know what happened, but if I get sent home like this I am going to lose my shit."

Anywhere was better than home for her baby.

[frankensteinian]

"That sounds tiring." He can see how it would get old. "Hopefully it's over then."

[magneticxman]

"I hope so," Lorna said with sincerity. "May I ask what happened to you before you came here?" She'd shared a lot about herself, it seemed fair to her.

[frankensteinian]

How do you tell a daughter you've just met about the one who got to have both of her parents around? Even if that is what caused the fate she didn't deserve.

"I was living in Poland. I had..." It's better just to say it, probably. Even if he doesn't want to think about it, or what comes next. "I had a family. They died."

[magneticxman]

"oh God," Lorna gasps, putting a hand over her mouth. "I'm so sorry to hear that."

It was their blood on him, she assumed. He'd just come from losing everything. Her heart felt heavy in her chest as she considered what she would be feeling in his place. "Do you want to talk about what happened?"

[frankensteinian]

"They were connected to me, that's what happened." Which explains his comment earlier about not wanting to be associated with him. "That's the most important part."

[magneticxman]

Lorna pursed her lips and considered that. "I'm sorry you feel that way. I doubt they would."

[frankensteinian]

"You don't know." There's a part of him, buried deep down inside, that's telling him that she's right, that neither of them would blame him for this, or have any regrets about his presence in their life. But he's not ready to hear that right now.

[magneticxman]

Lorna grit her teeth and remained silent. She didn't know for sure, but she would have done anything to be raised by a father who loved her, who understood her in a way her aunt and uncle simply couldn't.

"I should go," she said softly.

[frankensteinian]

"I..." He doesn't know where he's trying to go with this. It's all so overwhelming, everything that has happened today, and it's far from behind him. He needs to be alone, away from people who think they know how to help him but don't.

"You probably should."

[magneticxman]

She nodded and stood, taking her plate to the sink. Without another word she walked out, her lips pressed together tightly so she wouldn't start an argument.

All things considered, it could have gone worse.
