Welcome to Medietas and our first ever Test Drive Meme! As we approach the grand opening of the game on April 1st, we thought we’d kick things off with a little something that will get you all interacting in the new setting! And it’s one less sample you have to worry about on your application if you’re considering our little game here.

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You’ve just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a … floating boat, with people you may or may not know? You can’t help but ponder what’s going on here, but the vessel seems to be approaching a harbor and when it docks, some lovely locals are standing in wait to greet you. After that they hand you a map and communications device and invite you to find your accommodations and explore.

2. Party, party!: On the evening of your first night in the city, a party is being thrown on Aerilon in honor of your arrival. Eat, mingle, dance, meet the other new arrivals! The locals put on quite the celebration!

3. Go Exploring!: There's plenty of places to explore, be it in your designated housing area, or on one of the adjoining community islands! Hike the mountains in Eurus. Sit on the beaches of Imber with a cocktail, or go swimming. Adventure in the forests of Mundus. Be careful though! Every area has it's dangers.

4. The Bells Are Ringing!: And that means a islands wide warning that something dangerous is approaching! But where the heck are they coming from? Nevermind that, the caretakers rally the children and the senior citizens while Scykal, Imber's local sea monster, emerges from the large body of water on the island.  Interesting.  He hasn't been spotted in a long time.  Help the locals defeat him!

5. Wild Card!: Choose your own scenario!

Lydia Martin | Teen Wolf (CRAU) | Prompt 1

[personal profile] fivethreestrawberryblonde 2016-03-13 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)
This was far from Lydia's first rodeo when it came to heading somewhere totally new and strange, but it didn't seem to get any easier. At the very least, this one gave her a bit of a run-down of what was happening right off the bat. It was almost friendly. Of course, that still begged the question what exactly they wanted from her, she was pretty sure, but one thing at a time.

For the time being, she would do exactly as they suggested and explore. She needed to find a pencil first, or figure out if the communication device would let her take notes. Notes would always help.

Allison was shifting to slide through the crowd, excusing her way around a larger man, as she tried to make her way off of the ship. She really had no idea what was happening and that was unsettling. She had to go back, did't they understand? She needed to be back at home to help her friends defeat the Oni. She was pretty sure she knew how to now.

She was still concerned about it when she caught the flash of red hair that was so familiar to her. Pausing momentarily, she watched for the redhead again, a smile coming to her face once she was sure she knew who it was.

"Lydia!"
fivethreestrawberryblonde: (are you sure?)

[personal profile] fivethreestrawberryblonde 2016-03-15 08:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Focused in on herself and the task at hand, Lydia barely noticed that she had been recognised by someone. She knew it was possible, in a place like this, but every passing face thus far was unfamiliar. She knew she could probably take to the network and see if there was anyone who knew her that way, but she wanted to know which was was up first.

So much for that plan, though.

The voice was familiar - too familiar - and sent a pang straight to her heart. For a moment, Lydia thought as though she was merely imagining things, her head snapping up; a quick glance around answered that question, though. It was only half a moment more before the redhead gave up the pretense of anything else and half-flung herself at her late best friend for a tight hug. Maybe it was sudden, maybe it was uncharacteristic, but she didn't care. She didn't see any other familiar faces yet, and Allison was here. Allison was here.

"Whoa." Allison blinked in surprise as she found herself with an armful of her best friend but she didn't really hesitate in hugging her back. She knew Lydia well enough to know that if she was throwing herself at her like this, then something had upset her. She felt a surge of immediate anger and wanting to protect the redhead.

"Lydia, what's wrong?" She asked after a moment, trying to lean back so that she could get a look at her face.
fivethreestrawberryblonde: (a tearful smile)

[personal profile] fivethreestrawberryblonde 2016-03-17 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
She drew away when she was good and ready, leaving her hands on Allison's shoulders. Yes, she knew full well that it was concerning; she also knew that she needed to make the most of this while it lasted. Maybe it was weird, but she could diffuse it. Or try.

A smile was almost immediately plastered on, slightly pained though it was. Lydia couldn't quite manage effortless just yet; soon, though. "Nothing. Absolutely nothing," she replied honestly. "When did you get here?"
nosuchthingasfate: (troubled ↦ vulnerable by your words)

[personal profile] nosuchthingasfate 2016-03-23 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
Allison eased just half a step away, keeping her hands lingering against Lydia's sides as though her touch could soothe and steady her friend as she continued to watch her closely. Her heart started to race a little as she wondered then if something had happened to one of their friends. Her brows drew together as she wondered what she had missed. "Lydia, did something happen..."

She paused at the sudden forced smile, her lashes fluttering. "I just got here." She started to shake her head. "But you're clearly freaked out. Is it...are you okay? Did someone do something to you on one of the boats?"

Yes, those protective surges were coming through again as her jaw set in a hard line.

It helped. It all helped, to a girl who thought she'd never seen her best friend again. It hadn't even occurred to her, when she began the random jumps around the multiverse, that there was a chance she'd find her again.

"No. No," she laughed breathlessly, her smile pulling wider; it was more genuine now, paired with a laugh as it was. "No one tried anything. Don't worry; I learned how to defend myself." It was still better with Allison defending her honour, though, the banshee and her huntress. "It was just a normal boat ride. A bit boring, actually. Hopefully the destination proves much more interesting."

Derek was standing in the milling crowd at the docks, scrutinizing the device and map he'd been given when the wind shifts and a familiar scent fills his lungs.

Only...it can't be. Can it?...

Lifting his head, he tests the air, looking for all the world for a moment like a curious dog until he finds the right direction and pockets his communication device, moving with purpose through the throng.

...there.

Turning his head to one side, he catches sight of the top of her head--Christ, why does she have to be so short?...

"Lydia?..."
fivethreestrawberryblonde: (passion in my pants)

[personal profile] fivethreestrawberryblonde 2016-03-15 09:48 pm (UTC)(link)
At this point, Lydia had come to terms with the realisation that this was, yet again, an instance where she could run into anyone. It shouldn't have been surprising at all, but perhaps it had been all that time away from home without anyone from the pack hanging around. She was almost more used to not seeing them at all.

Derek was probably one of the last people she expected to run into, and she couldn't pinpoint if there was a reason for that, or if it was just because it was Derek. But at the sound of his voice, clearly double-checking whether or not it was her, she did stop, turning towards the source, and pushing through the throng to meet him halfway. He was decidedly easier to find.

"Fancy meeting you here."

"You are from another world as well?" Belle asked, having stepped off the same barge as the woman. That confidence she possessed was almost comforting. This wasn't her first time in a new realm as well, but it was peculiar to see another also unafraid and almost...familiar with this feeling.

Green eyes slid towards the other woman, then up and down as she sized her up thoughtfully. Just as Belle could read how familiar Lydia was with the situation, she was able to do the same, brows lifting slightly in response to it, her lips pursing.

"Mmhm," she confirmed with a hum, eyes skimming around their immediate surroundings after that. "A couple of them, actually. Besides my actual home. You?"

Wherein this was King's first rodeo and goddamn it was throwing him in the most serious of loops. Ever. Sure, he'd resigned himself to the fact that up to that point it wasn't just a dream. His subconscious wasn't giving him those weird cues that gave it away. But he had to try something out..

On the deck of the bridge, King leaned far enough over the railing where it would only take a fraction more of an inch before gravity did its job. If he fell, and jolted awake in his own bed on the barge, then that was that.

Just a dream.
fivethreestrawberryblonde: (thinking about it)

[personal profile] fivethreestrawberryblonde 2016-03-17 04:57 am (UTC)(link)
Not just a dream. Definitely not just a dream. It was, of course, interesting that that was his first assumption, but still not a dream.

Lydia caught a glimpse of what was going on over by the edge of the deck, and kept an eye on it from afar. If she slowly sauntered over while he tested out his initial lean, she had a feeling he might not notice. Or hoped, at least. She was casual about it. And thankfully, it put her close enough that by the time he was leaning so far over the railing that he might fall, she was well within reach.

So she utilised that, snatching out with one hand to snag the back of his shirt. She fisted her hand in the fabric and twisted, making the most of a technique Jordan taught her once - though in that case, it was to keep someone close so she could hit them in the face - to try and drag him back. Of course, she was tiny and wearing heels, and he was considerably more muscular than she was, so her leverage wasn't necessarily there, but still.

Worth a shot, right?

[personal profile] hello_mynameis_fu 2016-03-18 08:10 pm (UTC)(link)
The pure focus he had on keeping himself centered was all but lost when he felt the hand cinch the back of his shirt. It took him by surprise and King shot a look over his shoulder - his face maared with dried blood and clotted wounds - with eyes wide. "What the-" he exclaimed loudly. He was planning on giving the person a piece of his mind until King saw her face.

Breathing heavily, he angled around a bit more, the irritation tapering off to a mild look of annoyance, though perhaps more embarrassed that it probably looked like the guy had a deathwish. He didn't really. Well, only one person would argue that.

"I wasn't.. I'm not.." Suicidal? It wasn't entirely lost on him that might be assumed.
fivethreestrawberryblonde: (passion in my pants)

[personal profile] fivethreestrawberryblonde 2016-03-19 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
Good look for him, she had to say. It was probably a good thing she was actually used to people looking horribly beaten up, or else she might have been shocked into dropping him. What kind of drop did this boat have?

"Trying to fall off the edge? It sure looked like you were," Lydia chastised dryly, brows arching neatly at him as she finally released his shirt. He seemed firmly planted on the deck again; that meant she could. Unless he really did have a death wish and planned on flinging himself off the edge afterwards.

Scott had never been through this particular ringer, world jumping, universe hopping? The whole thing was all new to him. But seeing a familiar face was comforting, and as soon as he made his way around people and toward her, he called out to her.

"Lyds?" He's not entirely sure what's happening. The last thing he really remembered was, well, dying, so being here at all is pretty confusing.
fivethreestrawberryblonde: (girl look at that body)

[personal profile] fivethreestrawberryblonde 2016-03-22 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
In some ways, it was a good thing; in others, maybe not so much. Lydia couldn't help but wonder what was going to come of the City of Sin in her wake, and what might happen when Steve noticed her disappearance. She couldn't dwell on it too long, though; it didn't do much good, in the grand scheme of things.

Her attention slid to Scott, her expression just slightly surprised. Less because of how long it had been since she'd seen him and more because she didn't expect him to be there. It just seemed like she was destined to flutter about the multiverse all on her own.

"Scott," she greeted back, her tone airy and casual as she offered a pleased smile. Finally: a bit of the pack to keep her company. "Nice place, isn't it?"
focusscottfocus: (I'm so awkward ~ hollowart)

[personal profile] focusscottfocus 2016-03-23 06:51 pm (UTC)(link)
"It's...something." Which is to say, he has no idea what to think or make of any of this and it's all incredibly confusing. At least there was someone around that had managed to help him get cleaned and patched up to the point of not looking like he was literally in the process of dying for the time being. "Can't say that I really understand why we're here..."
fivethreestrawberryblonde: (passion in my pants)

[personal profile] fivethreestrawberryblonde 2016-03-24 10:10 pm (UTC)(link)
While he replied, she gave him a steady once-over, some of her smile faltering. He definitely didn't look so good. It looked like some people had maps, though; that might help. Maybe. She certainly hoped so, though obviously he wasn't about to keel over.

Maybe he was, and he just hid it well.

"I'm sure that'll be addressed sooner or later, even if it's all a stark lie. They have to have some reason for us. Are you okay?"
