Welcome to Medietas and our first ever Test Drive Meme! As we approach the grand opening of the game on April 1st, we thought we’d kick things off with a little something that will get you all interacting in the new setting! And it’s one less sample you have to worry about on your application if you’re considering our little game here.
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You’ve just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a … floating boat, with people you may or may not know? You can’t help but ponder what’s going on here, but the vessel seems to be approaching a harbor and when it docks, some lovely locals are standing in wait to greet you. After that they hand you a map and communications device and invite you to find your accommodations and explore.
2. Party, party!: On the evening of your first night in the city, a party is being thrown on Aerilon in honor of your arrival. Eat, mingle, dance, meet the other new arrivals! The locals put on quite the celebration!
3. Go Exploring!: There's plenty of places to explore, be it in your designated housing area, or on one of the adjoining community islands! Hike the mountains in Eurus. Sit on the beaches of Imber with a cocktail, or go swimming. Adventure in the forests of Mundus. Be careful though! Every area has it's dangers.
4. The Bells Are Ringing!: And that means a islands wide warning that something dangerous is approaching! But where the heck are they coming from? Nevermind that, the caretakers rally the children and the senior citizens while Scykal, Imber's local sea monster, emerges from the large body of water on the island. Interesting. He hasn't been spotted in a long time. Help the locals defeat him!
5. Wild Card!: Choose your own scenario!
Lydia Martin | Teen Wolf (CRAU) | Prompt 1
For the time being, she would do exactly as they suggested and explore. She needed to find a pencil first, or figure out if the communication device would let her take notes. Notes would always help.

She was still concerned about it when she caught the flash of red hair that was so familiar to her. Pausing momentarily, she watched for the redhead again, a smile coming to her face once she was sure she knew who it was.
"Lydia!"
no subject
So much for that plan, though.
The voice was familiar - too familiar - and sent a pang straight to her heart. For a moment, Lydia thought as though she was merely imagining things, her head snapping up; a quick glance around answered that question, though. It was only half a moment more before the redhead gave up the pretense of anything else and half-flung herself at her late best friend for a tight hug. Maybe it was sudden, maybe it was uncharacteristic, but she didn't care. She didn't see any other familiar faces yet, and Allison was here. Allison was here.

"Lydia, what's wrong?" She asked after a moment, trying to lean back so that she could get a look at her face.
no subject
A smile was almost immediately plastered on, slightly pained though it was. Lydia couldn't quite manage effortless just yet; soon, though. "Nothing. Absolutely nothing," she replied honestly. "When did you get here?"
no subject
She paused at the sudden forced smile, her lashes fluttering. "I just got here." She started to shake her head. "But you're clearly freaked out. Is it...are you okay? Did someone do something to you on one of the boats?"
Yes, those protective surges were coming through again as her jaw set in a hard line.
no subject
"No. No," she laughed breathlessly, her smile pulling wider; it was more genuine now, paired with a laugh as it was. "No one tried anything. Don't worry; I learned how to defend myself." It was still better with Allison defending her honour, though, the banshee and her huntress. "It was just a normal boat ride. A bit boring, actually. Hopefully the destination proves much more interesting."

Only...it can't be. Can it?...
Lifting his head, he tests the air, looking for all the world for a moment like a curious dog until he finds the right direction and pockets his communication device, moving with purpose through the throng.
...there.
Turning his head to one side, he catches sight of the top of her head--Christ, why does she have to be so short?...
"Lydia?..."

Derek was probably one of the last people she expected to run into, and she couldn't pinpoint if there was a reason for that, or if it was just because it was Derek. But at the sound of his voice, clearly double-checking whether or not it was her, she did stop, turning towards the source, and pushing through the throng to meet him halfway. He was decidedly easier to find.
"Fancy meeting you here."

"Mmhm," she confirmed with a hum, eyes skimming around their immediate surroundings after that. "A couple of them, actually. Besides my actual home. You?"

On the deck of the bridge, King leaned far enough over the railing where it would only take a fraction more of an inch before gravity did its job. If he fell, and jolted awake in his own bed on the barge, then that was that.
Just a dream.

Lydia caught a glimpse of what was going on over by the edge of the deck, and kept an eye on it from afar. If she slowly sauntered over while he tested out his initial lean, she had a feeling he might not notice. Or hoped, at least. She was casual about it. And thankfully, it put her close enough that by the time he was leaning so far over the railing that he might fall, she was well within reach.
So she utilised that, snatching out with one hand to snag the back of his shirt. She fisted her hand in the fabric and twisted, making the most of a technique Jordan taught her once - though in that case, it was to keep someone close so she could hit them in the face - to try and drag him back. Of course, she was tiny and wearing heels, and he was considerably more muscular than she was, so her leverage wasn't necessarily there, but still.
Worth a shot, right?

Breathing heavily, he angled around a bit more, the irritation tapering off to a mild look of annoyance, though perhaps more embarrassed that it probably looked like the guy had a deathwish. He didn't really. Well, only one person would argue that.
"I wasn't.. I'm not.." Suicidal? It wasn't entirely lost on him that might be assumed.
no subject
"Trying to fall off the edge? It sure looked like you were," Lydia chastised dryly, brows arching neatly at him as she finally released his shirt. He seemed firmly planted on the deck again; that meant she could. Unless he really did have a death wish and planned on flinging himself off the edge afterwards.
no subject
"Lyds?" He's not entirely sure what's happening. The last thing he really remembered was, well, dying, so being here at all is pretty confusing.

Her attention slid to Scott, her expression just slightly surprised. Less because of how long it had been since she'd seen him and more because she didn't expect him to be there. It just seemed like she was destined to flutter about the multiverse all on her own.
"Scott," she greeted back, her tone airy and casual as she offered a pleased smile. Finally: a bit of the pack to keep her company. "Nice place, isn't it?"

Maybe he was, and he just hid it well.
"I'm sure that'll be addressed sooner or later, even if it's all a stark lie. They have to have some reason for us. Are you okay?"
