Welcome to Medietas and our first ever Test Drive Meme! As we approach the grand opening of the game on April 1st, we thought we’d kick things off with a little something that will get you all interacting in the new setting! And it’s one less sample you have to worry about on your application if you’re considering our little game here.

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You’ve just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a … floating boat, with people you may or may not know? You can’t help but ponder what’s going on here, but the vessel seems to be approaching a harbor and when it docks, some lovely locals are standing in wait to greet you. After that they hand you a map and communications device and invite you to find your accommodations and explore.

2. Party, party!: On the evening of your first night in the city, a party is being thrown on Aerilon in honor of your arrival. Eat, mingle, dance, meet the other new arrivals! The locals put on quite the celebration!

3. Go Exploring!: There's plenty of places to explore, be it in your designated housing area, or on one of the adjoining community islands! Hike the mountains in Eurus. Sit on the beaches of Imber with a cocktail, or go swimming. Adventure in the forests of Mundus. Be careful though! Every area has it's dangers.

4. The Bells Are Ringing!: And that means a islands wide warning that something dangerous is approaching! But where the heck are they coming from? Nevermind that, the caretakers rally the children and the senior citizens while Scykal, Imber's local sea monster, emerges from the large body of water on the island.  Interesting.  He hasn't been spotted in a long time.  Help the locals defeat him!

The Tiger sidled closer, and peered up at her. "Well, I should hope not. Tigers are hardly that rare, now, are they?"

The voice is all growls and low purring sounds, but intelligible. Merlin settled close to her again. "You are a curious person, are you not?"

That gets a slight quirk of her mouth. Talking tigers, really? What next? She really shouldn't tempt fate like that.

"I tend to be, yes." It certainly makes her job easier. Seeking out and sharing what knowledge she can find. Mostly on things that are awful but that isn't always the case.

"Good. It is the best way to be." The Tiger slinked closer, then rose up on it's hindlegs and went to place its paws on her shoulders. "Such is the best way to learn things, madame."

Merlin winked. "Or so think I."

And this is where the fact she isn't really as human as she looks. Even if Merlin is being careful a tiger still weighs a great deal and Marion doesn't change her stance all that much. She does have to keep her expression from going funny for other reasons.

"Not that I'm complaining but why are you in my space like this?"

[themerlin]

The tiger kept his weight from settling too much on her shoulder, then moved back and settled back to all fours. "Why, my dear lady, to get your scent, of course. Your true scent. Also, because your face looks better from close up. These tiger eyes are not what they used to be, and not so good as human ones to observe details of faces."

Merlin spoke easily, and settled then, at her feet.

Because she doesn't smell human. The wolf is too close to her skin to hide that scent. It must be very puzzling to him.

"Then you're a shape shifter and I don't have to question if I should be on the look out for....Queens who dress in white." She isn't quite going to name C.S Lewis but the implication is right there.

Merlin nodded to her. "I am, yes, milady." At her reference, he sat back on his haunches and laughed, a full bore laugh, something that sounded, and looked, no doubt, odd, in a tiger. "Nay. Old Lewis's tales have no hold here, yet. In truth, that old fool was far too accurate in his words, but I have seen no such beings here." Merlin shook his tirish head.

"And you? I hope you do not bring Fey along with thee from that land where such beings take the skin of another."
