Welcome to Medietas and our first ever Test Drive Meme! As we approach the grand opening of the game on April 1st, we thought we’d kick things off with a little something that will get you all interacting in the new setting! And it’s one less sample you have to worry about on your application if you’re considering our little game here.

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You’ve just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a … floating boat, with people you may or may not know? You can’t help but ponder what’s going on here, but the vessel seems to be approaching a harbor and when it docks, some lovely locals are standing in wait to greet you. After that they hand you a map and communications device and invite you to find your accommodations and explore.

2. Party, party!: On the evening of your first night in the city, a party is being thrown on Aerilon in honor of your arrival. Eat, mingle, dance, meet the other new arrivals! The locals put on quite the celebration!

3. Go Exploring!: There's plenty of places to explore, be it in your designated housing area, or on one of the adjoining community islands! Hike the mountains in Eurus. Sit on the beaches of Imber with a cocktail, or go swimming. Adventure in the forests of Mundus. Be careful though! Every area has it's dangers.

4. The Bells Are Ringing!: And that means a islands wide warning that something dangerous is approaching! But where the heck are they coming from? Nevermind that, the caretakers rally the children and the senior citizens while Scykal, Imber's local sea monster, emerges from the large body of water on the island.  Interesting.  He hasn't been spotted in a long time.  Help the locals defeat him!

5. Wild Card!: Choose your own scenario!

Sonya still wasn't sure of this place,of how and why she was here. The sight of her BDUs and power gauntlets in her room didn't entirely reassure her, but their familiarity was welcomed if nothing else. She certainly felt more comfortable walking around in them than in the jacket and skirt of her dress-greens.

Though her doctors orders were for her to take it easy, it didn't stop her from exploring the area, of trying to possibly find a way off. Her experience in the military told her that not all bases of operations were in towns-sometimes they were in the more isolated areas.

The sound of movement above her catches her attention, too strong and loud to just be the wind. There's only a second more before she feels something hit the back of her shoulder, causing her to turn around, her arms up incase she needed to defend herself. Then she looked down, finding it wasn't a gun round, but an acorn.

"The hell..?" She looked up, frowning when she caught sight of a girl up in the trees. "Some reason why you're throwing acorns at people?"

"Is there a reason I shouldn't be?" It was better than having a bow and arrow pointed at her, wasn't it? Arya hadn't exactly planned out what she would do if someone noticed her, but now that she's been seen, perhaps it wouldn't be a terrible idea to try and commandeer herself some supplies.

"Drop your weapons if you have any." Because otherwise she had no intention of climbing down without certain assurances. She didn't trust anyone, save for her family if she could ever hope to see them again. As she speaks, Arya reaches for her bow and an arrow, careful to make sure she didn't go toppling from the tree as she did so.

This might be a bit too much for someone of her skill level.

Sonya had been too long in SF and too long in combat to not pick up that the girl was reaching for her weapon, nor did it escape her notice that she was also careful enough not to fall. "Keep your hands away from yours and I might do the same."

Unlike some people Sonya knew, she did play fair: harsh yes, but always fair. The only weapons she had on her were her power gauntlets (she'd yet to find a place that sold any other 'firearm'). Not that she had any reason to shoot unless provoked, and she doubted the girl would try anything unless she wanted to risk falling out. From that height, Sonya doubted the fall would kill her, but there was the possibility of broken bones.

Well, she had her there. That made her stop trying to notch her arrow, at any rate. Deciding it was useless to stay up in the tree and talk like this, Arya makes the climb down. Dropping her bow and arrow to the ground first, she scrambles one foot at a time down the side of the tree. She resembled a monkey, the way she effortlessly scaled down the side of it from branch to branch before dropping to her feet with an ungraceful topple forward onto her knees.

She'd need to work on that landing a bit next time.

"Do you have anything else on you I should know about?" Knives in the back weren't very attractive, unfortunately.

The corner of her mouth twitched when the girl fell onto her knees, but she said nothing else. Clearly the girl had some gymnastic ability, she just needed to work on the basics.

Sonya pointed to the gauntlets, the fabric of her sleeves already rolled up so as to not hamper with her aim. They were hardly a secret after all. "These..the power they emit is meant to stun, not kill. But good luck trying to run if hit by them."

In combat that was sometimes all it took: one wrong move, one step, one second to look the other way and leave yourself open.
