Welcome to Medietas and our first ever Test Drive Meme! As we approach the grand opening of the game on April 1st, we thought we’d kick things off with a little something that will get you all interacting in the new setting! And it’s one less sample you have to worry about on your application if you’re considering our little game here.
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You’ve just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a … floating boat, with people you may or may not know? You can’t help but ponder what’s going on here, but the vessel seems to be approaching a harbor and when it docks, some lovely locals are standing in wait to greet you. After that they hand you a map and communications device and invite you to find your accommodations and explore.
2. Party, party!: On the evening of your first night in the city, a party is being thrown on Aerilon in honor of your arrival. Eat, mingle, dance, meet the other new arrivals! The locals put on quite the celebration!
3. Go Exploring!: There's plenty of places to explore, be it in your designated housing area, or on one of the adjoining community islands! Hike the mountains in Eurus. Sit on the beaches of Imber with a cocktail, or go swimming. Adventure in the forests of Mundus. Be careful though! Every area has it's dangers.
4. The Bells Are Ringing!: And that means a islands wide warning that something dangerous is approaching! But where the heck are they coming from? Nevermind that, the caretakers rally the children and the senior citizens while Scykal, Imber's local sea monster, emerges from the large body of water on the island. Interesting. He hasn't been spotted in a long time. Help the locals defeat him!
5. Wild Card!: Choose your own scenario!

Most men she knew would shun such things, viewing it as effeminate. Yet Rhaegar embraced it. He seemed as honorable as her brothers and just as ameable. Strangely, she forgot sometimes that he was a prince. In seeing him, he was nothing more than the sort of man that she had always hoped to meet. Not for a lover, as she never thought of such things (the word was almost ruined by Robert's presence in her life), but as a friend. A similar soul to her own.]
Don't allow my sex to mislead you. I may be a woman, but I am as much a knight as those men that I bested in the tourney. What makes a knight? Is it the title that others seem to flaunt? Or is it the honor?
no subject
Some would say that what makes a knight is the anointing of the Seven by another knight. Any knight can make a knight, you know.
[He tilted his head a bit, considering.]
Kneel, my lady.
no subject
She was proud, filled with triumph from both the joust, now in the obvious sign of interest the prince showed to her. Never in her life did she imagine she would care, but the woman in her was waking, reaching towards the surface.
Her hands remained at her side, awkward and uncertain. He was more experienced than she was, yet this seemed natural. Right. Thankfully, it was not a rapid pace. He didn't grab at her as Robert grabbed at other women. He was respectful, even in these gestures.
With a laugh, she knelt before him.]
As you will, your grace.

Father, Mother, Maiden, Crone, Smith, Warrior and Stranger, I name Lyanna Stark a knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
[He smiled then, bright, and motioned for her to stand.]
There. I've made you a knight. I doubt anyone is going to argue with a prince about who can and cannot be a knight in my kingdom.
no subject
Strangely, he didn't reprimand her. Not as Robert would have, had he looked beyond her features.]
That is, if you tell anyone you found the mysterious knight. Robert Baratheon seemed quite eager to have me unmasked. Would you shame them before the whole of the Kingdoms?
no subject
[Rhaegar offered his hand to her, tugging her to her feet. In doing so, he pulled her close. A liberty, yes, but he was willing to take it. When might he get another chance to hold this woman in his arms, to look upon her openly and hungrily? Never, not while his wife and Robert Baratheon lived.]
I'll shame anyone I want. I am blood of the dragon. That being said, no, I can't unmask you. I can't risk...I can't risk Baratheon being angry with you.
no subject
Despite herself, she pulled out of his arms, taking a single step back. It wasn't out of respect for Robert or his wife that caused her to break from his embrace. Only her fear, her shyness.]
I'm not afraid of him. [She said this as her voice quavered, anxiety rising to the surface by Rhaegar's gaze.] His good opinion matters little to me, as mine is so low of him.
no subject
[Rhaegar reached for her again, pressing her against him. He wished he wasn't wearing plate, that she wasn't wearing plate, that he might feel her softness against him. He lifted his hand and touched her chin, tipping it upward.]
Dragons of old had more than one wife. I could have you for my own, Lyanna Stark, and damn Baratheon to seven hells. Would you like that?
no subject
One moment ago, she was beneath the tree, startled by the Prince's sudden appearance. Suddenly, she was in his arms and he was asking for her to be his.
Had Ned been here or Brandon, they would have rebuked her, shielding her behind them as they drew her out of the dragon's coils. No, this wasn't right.
Despite that knowledge, she hesitated, afraid and uncertain.]
You don't even know me, Rhaegar. [It was the first she spoke his name without formalities or pretense. She addressed him as an equal, a man, not a prince.]
What you're asking is impossible.
no subject
[Rhaegar kissed her, just a gentle press of lips against her own, and pulled back just enough to look her in the eyes.]
You don't know me but you seem to know your own heart. You have no love for Robert Baratheon. You could be a queen, my lady, and bear my children alongside me. You could dwell with me on Dragonstone while Elia remains at court. It is possible. How could your father refuse such an offer?
no subject
He was a swamp compared to Rhaegar's ocean.] My father would believe it an insult to my honor. You have a wife, he would think you are making me a...[she couldn't say the word "whore."] Your father would never agree.
All of this...it's confusing me.
no subject
[Rhaegar held her close, looked into her eyes.]
You would be a princess, same as Elia, and your children legitimate. I don't hold with what the Seven say. I am blood of the dragon, I can do what I wish.
[He grinned at her, thumb brushing against her cheek.]
What if I stole you?
no subject
Why me? Why are you so insistent to have me? If it is for my beauty, I suggest you release me. I will not transfer my betrothal from Robert to another just like him. [It didn't seem possible, not from what she had seen of him.]
no subject
[Rhaegar shook his head. His hair fell from where he had it bound and he pushed it back, wanting to see her clearly.]
I want your beauty, your joy, your sorrow. I want your lust and your love. I want everything of you, I want to press against you until the space is no longer there. I want to have met you before my father married me to Elia. How could I go back to a candle when I've been touched by fire?
no subject
Despite her reason and sense, she was swept away by the romanticism and the softness he offered her. Robert claimed to love her, but he never sought to prove it. A man could not change his nature, as she had told Ned before. She did not love or trust Robert.
She could love Rhaegar, away from the eyes of the court and her family's discontent. She had wanted freedom, adventure. She could have it, so long as she was willing to reach out and take it. It wasn't about strength, she had that aplenty, but desire...she wasn't certain yet.]
Show me then. [She pulled out of his arms again, this time creating more space between them. Firm in her decision to stand on her own two feet.] Prove it.
no subject
[Rhaegar's eyes lit up with the challenge but he shook his head.]
Not here, my lady. I won't take the maidenhead of a highborn girl in the middle of the woods. I'll crown you the queen of my heart in front of everyone. I'll take you to Dragonstone and make your body sing until you want to weep. I'll be good to you, Lyanna, and I'll prove it.
[He offered his hand.] Come, we have to go back. I will keep your secret, Ser Lyanna of the Laughing Tree.

She was careful to remove the last of her armor along the way, hiding it carefully when she returned to the camp. It wasn't the knight that she thought of, the persona she had taken on. It was the challenge put forth for Rhaegar. How would he fulfill it and when?
She would have to wait and see.]
