Welcome to Medietas and our first ever Test Drive Meme! As we approach the grand opening of the game on April 1st, we thought we’d kick things off with a little something that will get you all interacting in the new setting! And it’s one less sample you have to worry about on your application if you’re considering our little game here.
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You’ve just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a … floating boat, with people you may or may not know? You can’t help but ponder what’s going on here, but the vessel seems to be approaching a harbor and when it docks, some lovely locals are standing in wait to greet you. After that they hand you a map and communications device and invite you to find your accommodations and explore.
2. Party, party!: On the evening of your first night in the city, a party is being thrown on Aerilon in honor of your arrival. Eat, mingle, dance, meet the other new arrivals! The locals put on quite the celebration!
3. Go Exploring!: There's plenty of places to explore, be it in your designated housing area, or on one of the adjoining community islands! Hike the mountains in Eurus. Sit on the beaches of Imber with a cocktail, or go swimming. Adventure in the forests of Mundus. Be careful though! Every area has it's dangers.
4. The Bells Are Ringing!: And that means a islands wide warning that something dangerous is approaching! But where the heck are they coming from? Nevermind that, the caretakers rally the children and the senior citizens while Scykal, Imber's local sea monster, emerges from the large body of water on the island. Interesting. He hasn't been spotted in a long time. Help the locals defeat him!
5. Wild Card!: Choose your own scenario!

She had a long way to go to catch up with him.

Adrian went to find a drink and, once obtained, pressed it into her hand. "Hopefully the start of making up for being an asshole. There's more where that came from."
It helped that the drinks were free but he wasn't going to argue semantics, not when he felt alive for the first time in a long time.

"I'm Selene."
no subject
"Such a pleasure," he drawled. "And I am an asshole, I'm just a fun one. I operate under the assumption that life should be as decadent and fun as possible. Are you in with me on this or do you think we should have restraint and modesty and all those admirable traits?"
no subject
She smirked, "I'm not the most elegant lady, just to warn you."
no subject
"I'm not the most perfect gentleman," Adrian offered in exchange. That, at least, was very true. As drunk as he was, Spirit couldn't influence his words and anything he said tonight was just infused with a normal amount of charm and nothing supernatural.
"I think we're going to get along just fine."
no subject
She nodded, "I think so too. But I get the feeling your not like other men. There's something about you...different."
no subject
"What kind of different? What are you sensing?" Adrian sensed something different about her too but he didn't want to show his hand and end up left wanting at the end. That was a dangerous thing about being a Moroi in a world full of humans - you had to be careful with yourself.

"Yes and no," Adrian said, shrugging a little. "I'll live a long time, provided I have what I need, but I can be killed. It's not that hard to do me in, if you know what you're doing."
He flashed his fangs, just slightly. "See what I mean?"

Tossing her cigarette on the ground, she added, "Just a hunch, right?"
no subject
"Just a small one," Adrian agreed. "Have you seen any feeders around? Alcohol can only go so far and I'm going to need blood eventually."
no subject
"Kind of them to provide for us."
no subject
"Not so strange," Adrian said, flicking ashes off his cigarette. "I've always had willing feeders. They get something out of it. They get to live the rest of their lives high and wanting for nothing. Not a bad trade, once you get over being someone's food source."

"You don't have to be exclusive," Adrian said, laughing at the concept. "We used to just go to a house where they kept them. Sure, we had our favorites, but doesn't everyone? There's no need for a relationship, anyway."
no subject
no subject
"So what kind of favorites do you have in vampires?" Adrian asked, suddenly a little more interested in what she had to say. He was sobering up a little though, really, that was relative. He was still completely numb to anything Spirit related and that was how he preferred it.
"Care to tell me? I'm a Royal, you know. I have some clout."
no subject
"I'm fond of charming vampires, someone who can make me laugh. I like rogues."
no subject
"I am, though I hardly ever insist on the title. It's a little overblown," Adrian said. "But my family has been powerful since before we came over from the Old Country. It carries over. Besides, you know. Politics."
Part of being Moroi meant navigating endless mazes and mires of politics and it apparently carried over to other vampires too, since she hadn't seemed shocked.
no subject
"Vampire politics. We've got that in my world. I tend to try and stay out of it. It's just not my cup of tea."
no subject
"Is it anyone's? It's a whole bunch of squabbling about who gets to wear a crown and have a fancy name," Adrian said, shrugging a little. "It does mean you get to go to some pretty sweet parties, though, and that's always a good thing."
Except, of course, when he had the nagging of responsibilities in the back of his head telling him he had better things to do than party his way through life. There was Jill, and Eddie, and Sydney and the rest. They had meaning that this kind of empty life didn't have.
But they weren't here, were they? Adrian was all alone, as he had been before they came along, and he'd ended up alone in spite of his attempts to change. Might as well go back to drinking.
no subject
Drinking was a better past time. There was less hurt in drinking, less complications. Only the drowning of memories and sorrow in the amber liquid. Who couldn't fall in love with it?
