Welcome to Medietas and our first ever Test Drive Meme! As we approach the grand opening of the game on April 1st, we thought we’d kick things off with a little something that will get you all interacting in the new setting! And it’s one less sample you have to worry about on your application if you’re considering our little game here.
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You’ve just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a … floating boat, with people you may or may not know? You can’t help but ponder what’s going on here, but the vessel seems to be approaching a harbor and when it docks, some lovely locals are standing in wait to greet you. After that they hand you a map and communications device and invite you to find your accommodations and explore.
2. Party, party!: On the evening of your first night in the city, a party is being thrown on Aerilon in honor of your arrival. Eat, mingle, dance, meet the other new arrivals! The locals put on quite the celebration!
3. Go Exploring!: There's plenty of places to explore, be it in your designated housing area, or on one of the adjoining community islands! Hike the mountains in Eurus. Sit on the beaches of Imber with a cocktail, or go swimming. Adventure in the forests of Mundus. Be careful though! Every area has it's dangers.
4. The Bells Are Ringing!: And that means a islands wide warning that something dangerous is approaching! But where the heck are they coming from? Nevermind that, the caretakers rally the children and the senior citizens while Scykal, Imber's local sea monster, emerges from the large body of water on the island. Interesting. He hasn't been spotted in a long time. Help the locals defeat him!
5. Wild Card!: Choose your own scenario!
no subject
It has been years since he's seen her but he recognizes her. It's Claire, Galen's lover, and she's someone he did consider a friend if not a close one. Galen, the second apprentice he'd failed. Damn.
"Claire? Where's Galen? When did you get here?"
no subject
She falters a bit. "I just got here today. As for Galen, I haven't seen him...in years."
no subject
"I'm sorry, Claire, truly. I know he cared greatly for you." That was an understatement, to be sure, but he is at a loss of what, exactly, to say. Dealing with loss is never easy.
"I'm glad to see you again, though, in spite of everything."
no subject
"I know he did." She murmured softly, unable to deny the pang she felt. "I loved him too."
Swallowing thickly, she pushes down the emotions as she looks up at Obi-Wan and smiles again. This part is easier because it's always good to be reunited with people. "I'm glad to see you too. You have no idea how glad."
no subject
"I think he would be glad I was here...that we're here together to keep watch over one another."
Obi-Wan had become excessively good at watching and waiting and this was no different than the time he'd spent watching over Anakin's son.
"We can take care of one another."
no subject
"We can." She nodded, reaching out to touch his arm with a gentle squeeze. "But first, I should show you something."
Turning, she looked over to where a little boy was sitting on a chair against the wall. He was sitting with his legs crossed on his seat, his hands resting lightly on his knees as he watched everyone with a quiet expression. His hair was a soft sandy brown and his eyes were nearly a definite match (maybe just a shade or two darker) for her own but the quiet demeanor? The look on his face? Nearly everything else about him? Definitely all belonged to his father.
"We named him Ben." She murmured softly, looking over at Obi-Wan.
no subject
The boy was young but he could see Galen in him all the same, in the tilt of his chin and the way he carried himself. He was certainly his father's son, even if it was more subtle than Claire's features stamped across the boy's face.
"Ben," Obi-Wan said softly, touched that they would choose that name for their child even though he'd disappeared before ever meeting him. "Claire, I'm honored. I could never be more honored than this."
no subject
"His full name is Benjamin Noah Marek." She nodded, thinking again that maybe she should have changed his last name to her own but she wanted him to have Galen's last name. Another part of his father since he would never likely see him again.
no subject
"It's a strong name," Obi-Wan said, voice tight with emotion. It was difficult to think of his apprentice, to think he failed him, but this...this was no failure. This was a success.
"Did he continue his use of the Force after I left? I would hate to think he put it aside even though I wasn't there to guide him through the trials."
no subject
"He did, all the time." She answered with a nod, watching Obi-Wan again. "He got better too. He seemed happier and more settled near the end before he disappeared. I just hope it was enough for him to survive whatever it was that he went back to. I still hope that every day."
no subject
"I didn't want to fail him," Obi-Wan admitted. "I'd failed my first apprentice and I felt I owed it to Galen not to fail him when Anakin had failed him. I wanted...I wanted him to have a true Jedi master to learn from. I wanted to help him as much as I wanted to assuage my own guilt. I am glad he learned from it, grew, was happy. It's all I ever wanted for him."
no subject
"Perhaps you could help Ben?" She murmured softly. "I was always worried that he wouldn't have someone but...maybe now."
no subject
If he could help Galen's son, it would be almost like being able to finish his apprenticeship, see him become a full Jedi. It would be the right thing to do.
