Welcome to Medietas and our first ever Test Drive Meme! As we approach the grand opening of the game on April 1st, we thought we’d kick things off with a little something that will get you all interacting in the new setting! And it’s one less sample you have to worry about on your application if you’re considering our little game here.

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You’ve just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a … floating boat, with people you may or may not know? You can’t help but ponder what’s going on here, but the vessel seems to be approaching a harbor and when it docks, some lovely locals are standing in wait to greet you. After that they hand you a map and communications device and invite you to find your accommodations and explore.

2. Party, party!: On the evening of your first night in the city, a party is being thrown on Aerilon in honor of your arrival. Eat, mingle, dance, meet the other new arrivals! The locals put on quite the celebration!

3. Go Exploring!: There's plenty of places to explore, be it in your designated housing area, or on one of the adjoining community islands! Hike the mountains in Eurus. Sit on the beaches of Imber with a cocktail, or go swimming. Adventure in the forests of Mundus. Be careful though! Every area has it's dangers.

4. The Bells Are Ringing!: And that means a islands wide warning that something dangerous is approaching! But where the heck are they coming from? Nevermind that, the caretakers rally the children and the senior citizens while Scykal, Imber's local sea monster, emerges from the large body of water on the island.  Interesting.  He hasn't been spotted in a long time.  Help the locals defeat him!

5. Wild Card!: Choose your own scenario!

"It's okay." Time had caused the strong accent of her homeland to mostly fade away but the hint of France stilled lingered. Sometimes it was stronger than others, like today when she was caught in the memories that she had no desire to keep revisiting. Maybe thinking about those days brought forth the girl from that time. At least until the woman she had become gained control and pushed her back down under the shield she had built around herself.

Glancing down at the man, she studied him for half a second even while giving a delicate little sniff at the air. She caught his scent and committed it to memory without thinking. Then she was clutching the long drape of sea foam colored silk around her slender frame as she started to walk again. The wind caught her hair, tossing it back from her regally defined features.

Then she was pausing, looking at the sky. It looked clear except for the clouds that lingered on the horizon. She studied them for a moment before glancing back at him. "You should head inside. There is rain on the air."

Her accent was caught and immediately found. He'd spent some time in France, though not as long as he had in other places. He liked the country but didn't connect with it like he hoped. But something in her voice grabbed his attention again and after she passed by, Caius was looking at her, eyes narrowing slightly in intrigue.

There was something different about her. Something that piqued his interest. Only he didn't exactly know why.

So when she glanced back, he was staring after her. "Yeah?" Caius answered, turning his head towards where she was looking before she advised him. "Are you familiar with the weather patterns because you live here? Or, because you're a weather girl back home."

The question would answer whether she was a recent arrival, or a local. And it was said light enough given his mood moments before.

"No." She shook her head as she turned to face him again. "I was not a weather girl back home."

That pretty much gave him the answer that he was fishing for and she found herself smiling at him again. Just a faint curve of the lips. "I know that it's going to rain soon though because I can smell it on the air. You could probably smell it too if you tried."

If he couldn't, then she would simply shrug it off. It wasn't at all unusual for humans to be able to smell rain on the air when it approached but she could smell it a lot sooner than they could. She had always been able to smell it before others could. It had been handy to know when to go inside seeking shelter, especially if the storm was going to be a bad one. This wasn't going to be though. It would be a light rain, maybe even pleasant to be in, but not everyone liked being outside in the rain like she did.

Her slight smile warranted one on his own lips in response. Sure, he’d been around a long time, and been to places where it was easier to discern rain in the air than other places. But it wasn’t until she prompted him that he turned his face back towards that certain cluster of clouds that seemed to be moving faster towards them.

Caius took a deep breath, held it and looked back at the mysterious woman.

“You’re right.” he said with a vague nod, walking up alongside her now, his pace easy; casual. “So you just arrived here, too, then?”

"Not that long ago." She confirmed somewhat vaguely as they started walking. Her glide was graceful, almost eerily so, as she covered the ground like she was walking on air. Tucking some hair back from her face, she glanced sideways at the cloud while mentally doing the calculations about how long it would take the rain to reach them.

"How long have you been here?" She asked curiously as she focused on him again. The wind seemed to catch his breeze and send it wrapping around her as she drew it again. She would never have any problem finding him now again, if she wished.

"Couple days. Long enough to figure out by now that this isn't some crazy dream." he half shrugged, looking ahead again. He had a more heavier gait, though not by dragging his feet. It presented itself in his shoulders; an invisible weight stretching the entire expanse of his arms.

He walked a bit silently, canting his head back towards her. "I'm Caius." the immortal introduced himself.
