Welcome to Medietas and our first ever Test Drive Meme! As we approach the grand opening of the game on April 1st, we thought we’d kick things off with a little something that will get you all interacting in the new setting! And it’s one less sample you have to worry about on your application if you’re considering our little game here.
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You’ve just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a … floating boat, with people you may or may not know? You can’t help but ponder what’s going on here, but the vessel seems to be approaching a harbor and when it docks, some lovely locals are standing in wait to greet you. After that they hand you a map and communications device and invite you to find your accommodations and explore.
2. Party, party!: On the evening of your first night in the city, a party is being thrown on Aerilon in honor of your arrival. Eat, mingle, dance, meet the other new arrivals! The locals put on quite the celebration!
3. Go Exploring!: There's plenty of places to explore, be it in your designated housing area, or on one of the adjoining community islands! Hike the mountains in Eurus. Sit on the beaches of Imber with a cocktail, or go swimming. Adventure in the forests of Mundus. Be careful though! Every area has it's dangers.
4. The Bells Are Ringing!: And that means a islands wide warning that something dangerous is approaching! But where the heck are they coming from? Nevermind that, the caretakers rally the children and the senior citizens while Scykal, Imber's local sea monster, emerges from the large body of water on the island. Interesting. He hasn't been spotted in a long time. Help the locals defeat him!
5. Wild Card!: Choose your own scenario!
Re: Oliver Queen | Smallville + Amat CRAU
"I guess you've had better days, huh?"
no subject
"Well, I'v had worse days, too. At least they gave me a blanket to cover up this time around," Oliver said with a chuckle.
"You wouldn't happen to know where we've all been taken, no?" Might as well start to gather some information, even if it was done only wearing a thin bed sheet.
no subject
"Not entirely. I've tried to survey the area but my recon has come up limited," Oliver explained. It was a dry answer, he supposed, but the truth. He hadn't discovered anything of use thus far and was trying to glean information from the other castaways before testing new theories.
"I'm guessing you haven't had the chance to explore anything either, huh?"
no subject
"If this place is anything similar to the last, this is nothing short of a prison, with gilded bars. No way out, and people from places you've never heard of before will come in in batches. Last time I was...sent home, nothing had changed, and no one knew I was gone for months. Hopefully, it's the same here, because I know a couple of people that'll be looking for me in Starcity."
There was really more to the sex island, but for now, it seemed to Ollie that this little bit of information might be useful to the other. At least until the 'Power that'd be' of this place manifest itself with more information.
no subject
"My sister and my ex are both here, so you aren't the only one from home. I don't know how we got here but...at least there's some kind of pattern to it."
no subject
"You're Oliver Queen? Of course, you're Oliver Queen," said the blond, clearly amused by this as he shook the other man's hand. The next words were surprising as well:
"Lois is here? And we have a sister? I mean, you do."
It was impossible for Oliver not to laugh. This was insane. Finally, his questions had been answered. There was an alternate universe where he existed too, and in this one, he had a sister. Damn, this was made his heart pinch a little. Were his parents still alive in this world? He hoped so. Maybe in this universe, they never died, and he never crashed his boat on that island. Maybe in this universe, things were good for him.
Shaking his head as he calmed down, he waved his hand in front of him: "I'm sorry. This is just...too much, really. My name is Oliver Queen, and before you said something, no I'm not lying and yes it's quite possible that there's two of us in alternate universes."
no subject
"Yeah, I'm not unfamiliar with the concept...though in my experience, we still look the same."
While they were of similar height, their coloring and build were both wrong. It was unusual, to think that his double from another universe wouldn't actually look like him at all.
"My ex is Felicity Smoak and my sister, our sister, I guess, is Thea Queen. You don't have a sister?"
no subject
Oliver tilted his head at that, his tone teasing: "Should I expect a punch if I ever introduce myself to her?" What? It was a fair question. Before Lois, he didn't exactly had the best record with ladies.
But his smile faltered at the mention of siblings: "No, I'm an only child. My parents died in a place crash before they could give me a sister or a brother. Not that I wouldn't have minded sharing the burden of being a Queen, to be honest."
He gave Ollie a long look, wondering if their life, more than just their physical appearances, were different as well. There was so many questions on his mind, though not just about their lives, but also about their friends, but for now, Oliver simply smiled at his other self.
no subject
"My parents are dead too," Oliver said, thinking back to how Robert and Moira had died.
"Felicity? She's not going to recognize you as me. We don't look alike other than being a similar height and weight."
no subject
Oliver shook his head, chuckling sightly: "No, I meant, did you guys parted in good terms?" Well, apparently, despite sharing a similar life story, he was the only one that had been given a sense of humor at birth.
no subject
"Not really. She broke it off and I still speak to her but I wouldn't call it good terms," Oliver admitted.
"And yes, I've been on an island. Five years on an island, actually."
no subject
He nodded: "Two years for me." Oliver then leaned in, an eyebrow arching slowly: "How are your archery skills, honestly?" It seemed fitting that he would still defend the innocent ones in another universe too.
no subject
"Could split an arrow in half from a hundred yards," Oliver said. It was with only a touch of bravado; he was good, yeah, but he also had the skill to back up the words.
"I'm assuming you do it too? Any trick shots, special arrows?"
no subject
The mention of trick arrows brought a large grin on Oliver's lips, his eyes shining with pride: he never really got to geek about his own design to anyone outside his team:
"Yeah, a few ones. Designed them myself, so if there is anything you might be interested in trying out, let me know. I'm sure two of our brains is even better than one."
no subject
"As strange as it sounds, I think I want to pick my own brain." Maybe he was a version from Earth 2 or something but it seemed that this Oliver had some of the same traits and qualities that made himself unique.
"We'll have to compare designs at some point for sure. Do you work with a team?"
