Welcome to Medietas and our first ever Test Drive Meme! As we approach the grand opening of the game on April 1st, we thought we’d kick things off with a little something that will get you all interacting in the new setting! And it’s one less sample you have to worry about on your application if you’re considering our little game here.
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You’ve just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a … floating boat, with people you may or may not know? You can’t help but ponder what’s going on here, but the vessel seems to be approaching a harbor and when it docks, some lovely locals are standing in wait to greet you. After that they hand you a map and communications device and invite you to find your accommodations and explore.
2. Party, party!: On the evening of your first night in the city, a party is being thrown on Aerilon in honor of your arrival. Eat, mingle, dance, meet the other new arrivals! The locals put on quite the celebration!
3. Go Exploring!: There's plenty of places to explore, be it in your designated housing area, or on one of the adjoining community islands! Hike the mountains in Eurus. Sit on the beaches of Imber with a cocktail, or go swimming. Adventure in the forests of Mundus. Be careful though! Every area has it's dangers.
4. The Bells Are Ringing!: And that means a islands wide warning that something dangerous is approaching! But where the heck are they coming from? Nevermind that, the caretakers rally the children and the senior citizens while Scykal, Imber's local sea monster, emerges from the large body of water on the island. Interesting. He hasn't been spotted in a long time. Help the locals defeat him!
5. Wild Card!: Choose your own scenario!
no subject
"Who are you exactly? Which house do you serve? A bannermen of the Starks or are you a son to one of the Northern houses? I can tell from your accent that you are no Southerner, but from the North as I am."
It was a bit of a relief. If she was to see one of her countrymen, she preferred not to have a King's Landing sycophant. "Your name?"
no subject
"I serve no house, my lady. I am a sworn brother of the Night's Watch." He paused, the next words still feeling so foreign on his tongue: "I am its Lord Commander, and my name is Jon Snow."
The pause, this time was longer as his face fell slightly: "I was the bastard son of Lord Eddard Stark, your brother."
no subject
He was an honorable man. He hadn't the stomach to even ask a woman to dance during the tourney at Harrenhall. Brandon had to ask on his behalf. What strange magic would have had to happen for him to abandon his morals?
"Are you certain your father is Ned? Not Brandon? Or Robert?"
no subject
"There is no doubt, my lady. I was raised in Winterfell alongside my father's trueborn children. I never knew who my mother was; my father never spoke of her."
All he knew, was that it wasn't Lady Stark. And it would seem that all physical features he retained was from his alleged father: the long face, the dark curls and the grey eyes. He was all North, all Stark but in name.
no subject
Yet, Ned being the father...it was contrary to everything she knew about her brother.
"He must not have spoken of her because of regret or his conscience. Ned is taciturn, but when he feels guilty, it takes a new level. It's strange, if I didn't know him so well, I would think that Robert Baratheon somehow influenced his actions."
She frowned, not wanting to give offense to her nephew. He was a Stark. While she might not approve of what her brother had done, she would support her family. "Jon. It is a good name, one that shows he regarded you well enough to name you for a man he greatly loves and admires. That's no light thing."
no subject
"King Robert having a hand in my father's faltering is most likely, as I was sired while House Stark was fighting for House Baratheon against the Mad King."
"I know," he offered softly. "He grieved deeply at Lord Arryn's passing."
no subject
"Robert's rebellion," Lyanna repeated, recalling what she had heard before about Robert's actions. "It would not surprise me, though Ned had always believed that Robert was capable of changing. He abhorred such actions, I cannot picture him taking part in them."
She sighed sadly, "Jon Arryn passed? How? In battle?"
no subject
Because there was no place for bastards at court, and he could not stay in Winterfell with Lady Stark. Beside, Jon had wanted to follow in his uncle's footsteps, knowing that at the Wall, deeds were rewarded, not blood. For a moment, he wondered what Benjen Stark would be thinking of his election.
no subject
"You went to the Wall? Benjen had spoken of it when he was younger, he claimed that he wanted to fight the demons and monsters that lurked in the eternal winters. Did he follow his dream?" She asked hopeful.
