Welcome to Medietas and our first ever Test Drive Meme! As we approach the grand opening of the game on April 1st, we thought we’d kick things off with a little something that will get you all interacting in the new setting! And it’s one less sample you have to worry about on your application if you’re considering our little game here.

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You’ve just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a … floating boat, with people you may or may not know? You can’t help but ponder what’s going on here, but the vessel seems to be approaching a harbor and when it docks, some lovely locals are standing in wait to greet you. After that they hand you a map and communications device and invite you to find your accommodations and explore.

2. Party, party!: On the evening of your first night in the city, a party is being thrown on Aerilon in honor of your arrival. Eat, mingle, dance, meet the other new arrivals! The locals put on quite the celebration!

3. Go Exploring!: There's plenty of places to explore, be it in your designated housing area, or on one of the adjoining community islands! Hike the mountains in Eurus. Sit on the beaches of Imber with a cocktail, or go swimming. Adventure in the forests of Mundus. Be careful though! Every area has it's dangers.

4. The Bells Are Ringing!: And that means a islands wide warning that something dangerous is approaching! But where the heck are they coming from? Nevermind that, the caretakers rally the children and the senior citizens while Scykal, Imber's local sea monster, emerges from the large body of water on the island.  Interesting.  He hasn't been spotted in a long time.  Help the locals defeat him!

5. Wild Card!: Choose your own scenario!

"Sorry, milady." Podrick smiled to her, and nodded, eyes uncertain. Her friend? Well, he could be that, right? He had to try, anyway. He nodded, more firmly.

"How are you? Did you just get here too? The people here are somewhat... odd." Or so Podrick felt. He knew he shouldn't judge. It made him less noble or something.

He still did.

Sansa nods quickly. "I've only just come through off the boats, you see. Did Lord Tyrion come with you? He must know that I've remarried, that so much has happened since I left King's Landing."

Sansa doesn't know what has become of her first husband but for Podrick to be separated from him means something has happened.

And that made Podrick pause and stare. She didn't know. Oh no.

He swallowed, then plunged in, knowing no other way, and wishing someone else, like Tyrion, really, was here to tell her instead.

"Ah, no. He and I were... separated. After Jofrey was killed, Tyrion was implicated and found guilty and he sent me away. After I had left, we got word that - - - "

he paused, then plunged in again, not looking at her. "- - - that he had killed Lord Tywin, his father, and escaped the city. And vanished."

Podrick nodded. "And that's all I know."

Sansa pales a bit. She had known that Tyrion had been arrested but the rumors had been varied as to what happened afterward.

"Has he died? Can you confirm it?"

"Not that I know of. I believe he escaped. As to where he went, all I know are rumors that it was across the sea."

Podrick's face had fallen and he slumped some, but he spoke on. "S'why I went with Lady Sir Brienne, you see, to find you. Because it was the only thing I could do for him." Then he grinned a little. "Knowing him, he'll come back riding a dragon, and with an army at his back."

[personal profile] theladyofwinterfell 2016-03-20 03:36 pm (UTC)(link)

Sansa smiles a bit at that. "He is crafty, I cannot imagine he would die so easily. Still, I worry for him. He needs someone to look after him and if I am not there and you are not there, he has no one, does he?"

She sighs and offers her arm to Podrick. "We should find somewhere to rest, I think. I'm glad you're here. I need an escort in such a strange place."

"Yes, milady. He is that. He has a way of landing on his feet." But the worry was there, and showed in Podrick's tone and eyes. Tyrion had been more than his Lord. He had been almost a friend. Podrick would gladly die, for him, or for Lady Sansa, as well. Well, he would die for them, to save their lives, but he would rather live for them.

He took her arm in his own, smiling. "Yes, mistress. I saw some people heading deeper into the buildings, perhaps we can ask someone there where they might have fitting chambers for you?" He still wished Lady Sir Brienne or Lord Tyrion was here, but he would do his damnedest for Lady Sansa, all by his lonesome. He'd need to find her a few lady servants, for one...

"I think that would be the wisest course of action," Sansa agrees. She gives Podrick a small smile, warm and full of kindness.

"You know, Podrick, when it is simply the two of us, I do not mind if you call me simply Sansa. We are almost of an age, you and I, and you are also nobleborn of a fine house. I know that I am Lord Tyrion's wife but I am also your friend. I don't mind being called Sansa."

App submitted, eeeeee

[personal profile] squireofhonor 2016-03-21 09:09 pm (UTC)(link)
His answering smile was warm as well, and his cheeks, while they were red again, were no longer the same alarming shade of red they had turned so often when he had first met her. He had grown, rather a lot, since then.

"Of course, my la---, er sorry, of course, Sansa. And you can call me Pod, if you like. My brother used to call me that, before I was sent away."

He ducked his head to her as he kept an eye out. This last year of wandering with Ser Lady Brienne had widened his skills some, and taught him a whole lot. Now he tended to worry more, and keep his eyes open even more than that.

It seemed like, sometimes, the whole world was out to get the people Podrick liked. and he did not approve of that at all!

He fished in his belt pouches and fetched out an apple. He held it up to her, a rosy red fruit with a few bruises. "Care for something to eat, mi---, er, Sansa?" That was going to take some getting used to.

"I am quite hungry," Sansa agrees, taking the apple from him. She rolls it between her hands for a moment before leaning in, pressing a kiss against his cheek.

"Thank you, Pod. You're a very good squire, you know, taking care of your lord's lady as well as you do."

squireofhonor: (Apprehensive)

[personal profile] squireofhonor 2016-03-21 10:31 pm (UTC)(link)
"Thank you, L-Sansa." He smiled a little more. Her kiss made him skin flush brighter yet, and he was wide eyed as they continued.

"I'll always try, my lady. I learned some from Lord Tyrion, and Ser Lady Brienne has been teaching me more. Hopefully, I can always serve you well." Internally, the kiss still had him flailing.

[personal profile] theladyofwinterfell 2016-03-21 10:44 pm (UTC)(link)

"Sometimes I miss Lord Tyrion," Sansa admits. "I wasn't as kind to him as I should have been but he was always excessively kind to me. If I ever got the chance to see him again, I would like to tell him thank you. He was...he was a very good husband, Lord Tyrion. I couldn't have asked for better for a first husband."

squireofhonor: (Sad)

[personal profile] squireofhonor 2016-03-21 10:48 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'm sure he would appreciate that."

Podrick's face fell a little. "I'm sorry we were not able to find a way to get you out of that place, Sansa. We had a plan in place, but everything went wrong, and when Stannis's men came... it went even more so."

He had no idea if that whole situation would even get better. He spoke boldly, then.

"In a way, I'm glad we're here. Maybe here you can find a happiness, away from the wars."
theladyofwinterfell: (Default)

[personal profile] theladyofwinterfell 2016-03-21 10:55 pm (UTC)(link)

Sansa shakes her head. "I knew what I was doing, Pod. I knew I would have to do anything to get Winterfell back and I can hardly lay blame for what happened to me on anyone's feet but my own and possibly Ramsay's. You and Brienne did everything you could to help me. I know that."

squireofhonor: (Are You Sure)

[personal profile] squireofhonor 2016-03-21 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Podrick nodded. "No one will touch you here, against your will. We are friends, but I am also a squire to your house. If it is within my breath and ability, I will aid you in any way I can."

His voice was quiet, fervent, and sure, even as his cheeks heated red.
theladyofwinterfell: (Default)

[personal profile] theladyofwinterfell 2016-03-21 11:09 pm (UTC)(link)

Sansa smiles softly. "I hope it does not come to that but, if it does, I am grateful for such a loyal sworn shield."

She tips her head a bit. "It is a pity I couldn't knight you. You deserve it, Pod."

squireofhonor: (UHm)

[personal profile] squireofhonor 2016-03-21 11:15 pm (UTC)(link)
"I hope not too. I'd rather spend my time making our lives better, to be truly known." He felt like he could tell her that, for all that he was supposed to want glory. Glory seemed to him to be, well, rather heavy,

"Thank you, Sansa, but I don't think I'd fit in with the other knights. I'm too used to..." He paused and stumbled in his words.

"--- to how Lord Tyrion did things. I fear I'd make a mockery of knighthood."
theladyofwinterfell: (Default)

[personal profile] theladyofwinterfell 2016-03-21 11:58 pm (UTC)(link)

"Well, you're my knight," Sansa assures him. "No matter if you are one in truth or not. I think you are Ser Podrick no matter what anyone else says."

squireofhonor: (Are You Sure)

[personal profile] squireofhonor 2016-03-22 12:11 am (UTC)(link)
Podrick flushed a purple color now and shook his head. "I'm no knight, milady. But I'll gladly stand by your honor, and defend it higher than my own."

He took a knee before her, head bowed, and the axe that had rested against his back was out and head down against the stones.

"I am your man, milady."
theladyofwinterfell: (Default)

[personal profile] theladyofwinterfell 2016-03-22 01:33 am (UTC)(link)

Sansa dipped down and kissed the crown of his head. "By the Seven, then, I name you Ser Podrick of House Payne, sworn shield of Lady Sansa Stark."

Sansa doesn't think she'll ever be able to think of herself as Lannister or Bolton and she hopes that Podrick doesn't mind.

squireofhonor: (Smile 1)

[personal profile] squireofhonor 2016-03-22 02:30 am (UTC)(link)
Podrick shivered and closed his eyes, then squared them, and rose, speaking words older than time. "I, Podrick Payne, do swear to thy service, milady Stark, of the name Sansa. To protect you, and follow you, to obey and believe in you. To shield you, and to comfort you."

His smile was warm and wide.

"Thank you, mi--- Sansa." He sheathed the axe on his back. The axe Tyrion had used at Blackwater, where Podrick had saved him, and that Podrick had been being taught with every since.
theladyofwinterfell: (Default)

[personal profile] theladyofwinterfell 2016-03-22 02:43 am (UTC)(link)

"You are quite welcome, Pod," Sansa says, her smile warm and genuine. "I am quite a lady indeed, to have my own knight in my service. I never thought it would be the case."

squireofhonor: (Waiting)

[personal profile] squireofhonor 2016-03-22 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
Podrick flushed bright red, again, and ducked his head. "I am not so great, or so good. But just a man. I'll do my best for you, always."

He nodded, eyes on her, as he prayed he could keep her safe. He was so doomed.

So, so, doomed.
