Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Have an old muse you want to dust off, or voice test a brand new one in our game setting? Then you've come to the right place!
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You've just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat, with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat, but the vessel seems to be approaching a harbor with what appears to be.. are those floating islands? They sure are! And as if that isn't mind boggling enough, no one seems to have answers. But you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device and send you on your way. Perhaps the questions can wait for now. There's a new place to explore!
2. Go Exploring!: There's plenty of places to see, be it in your designated housing area, or on one of the adjoining community islands! Visit the market on Aerilon. Hike the mountains in Eurus. Sit on the beaches of Imber with a cocktail. Adventure in the forests of Mundus. Be careful though! Every area has it's dangers.
3. Party, party!: On the evening of your first night in the city, a party is being thrown on Aerilon in honor of your arrival. Eat, mingle, dance, meet the other new arrivals! The locals put on quite the celebration!
4. Wild Card! Customize your own scenario to fit your needs!

"I woke up in a floating boat here... and," he gave a shrug, wondering how he'd explain this to Ceilidh.
no subject
Which he apparently wasn't! Which, at least, was good news. That meant it was time for the knife. "So, who are you? And why do you look like one of us?"
no subject
It's what you did.
He would do the same thing and would have done it if she hadn't gotten to him first.
The knife on the other hand he flipped out of her grasp, looking it over. One of the ones Nat gave her for her birthday... if she was as old as she looked, the year before for her. At least that's what it looked like. He was going to give her the benefit of the doubt from what he'd seen already.
"I'm Rory McCallum second youngest child and seventh son of Liam and Moira McCallum. We're sort of in ... a place like Fairy. It still might be fairy, I'm not sure yet."
no subject
"Everyone knows McCallum family relations. Tell me something everyone doesn't know." She tilted her head. "And give me that knife back, I won't stab you with it."
If she has to stab him, she can do it with one of the other knives she's got hidden around her body.
no subject
"Nat gave you this knife for your sixteenth birthday. It's pair and he threatened to dump you in the castle's trash heap if you lost them since he had them specially made for you by Ian McDurmat of Farfells in Wales. They showed up a week late because Ian got laid up by some flu before he could finish them." He raised his eyebrows up. "He got them for you just in case you had to go into fairy again to rescue him or anyone else - they've got no iron in them but they're mage cast. Maeve tried stealing them so she could figure out how they were made."
A long pause.
"Should I go on?"
no subject
She put out her hand, making a grabbing motion. "Give it back, eedjit."
no subject
"You're not going to stab me or try to harm me in anyway," he said holding the knife out of her reach. "Unless I do something to deserve it. Not giving you back the knife right away doesn't count."
Okay, it's really weird seeing Grace this young again, but it's nice being taller than her like this.
no subject
Despite threats of arse-shoving. But that's practically friendly for an irritated McCallum!
She didn't bother making herself look like an idiot, flailing and trying to reach the knife. She pulled her arm back in and waited, eyes narrow.
no subject
"Of course you're going to try and hurt me. I'm your brother; it's what we do."
It really is friendly. She didn't even threaten to kill him.
"Speaking of family... there's someone else here from home." Which will be an interesting meeting.
no subject
"Oh? Who?" She did not allow her heart to leap at the possibility that it might be Dara--no, not even in a not-faerie-sort-of-faerie world... but it might be. She casually adjusted her backpack strap, trying not to look invested.
no subject
"Your niece. Her name is Ceilidh; Siobhan is her mum."
It's not Dara but he is curious to see how she'd react. Because he's an ass, even to his sister who is now really younger than him.
no subject
Because the best way to move on is to be an ass right back.
no subject
Ha. Ha. Hah.
"I'm not even forty yet. She has two. Ceilidh is five. Simon's eight. Sean has three of em. But he lives in Dublin so I don't see them as often."
Suddenly, Rory's worried about what will happen if Ceilidh sees Grace like this. It's one thing if it's just him and her or even if Grace was her expected age but he didn't know if the little girl could handle such an upset. She was only five... and probably wouldn't be able to understand. He didn't think that she really understood what was going on now either.
no subject
"So what happens to me?" It's more of a demand than a question. She wants to know, dammit, even if she's sure Rory will just bug her some more rather than telling her straight out. "Have I gotten murdered by falling anvils yet?"
no subject
"No. You're fine. You've not gotten murdered by falling anvils." He hesitates for a moment and then adds, "You end up doing what everyone thought Talia would."
no subject
Her face did a complicated reaction to that that she tried and mostly failed to lock down. She adored Talia, of course, practically hero-worshipped her. And it was good to know that she hadn't died in a stupid accident or anything. "Freelance heroing? That's... wicked, I guess."
no subject
"A bit more than freelance heroing." He bit his lip wondering if he should tell her. Ah well. Fuck the time line. It's not like he thinks that stuff is real or anything like that. "You find Dara."
no subject
There were too many questions to ask so she just nodded rapidly, tucking her head down while she tried to process which one wanted to come out first.
no subject
He's not going to give her more.
It should be enough of a thingy to help her get through everything though.
no subject
She still needed some time to process it, so she decided to change subjects. "If it's just you and, uh, Ceilidh here, who's taking care of her?"
no subject
And there's a fun question. "She's at school. They have one here. It took me two weeks to actually get her to stay and not break out. Even then I have to work there for the occasional tries."
no subject
no subject
"Quite a bit. Though she's making some friends there so she's more interested in staying. Thank the Morrigan they're good children who don't believe in breaking out."
no subject
"Well, that must make things easier. Unless they're just waiting for your guard to drop so that they can make a successful attempt."
no subject
"Possibly. Possibly. Hopefully not," he said, perfectly willing to allow such a thing.
"I'm just not sure how we're going to introduce you to her."
