Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Have an old muse you want to dust off, or voice test a brand new one in our game setting? Then you've come to the right place!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You've just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat, with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat, but the vessel seems to be approaching a harbor with what appears to be.. are those floating islands? They sure are! And as if that isn't mind boggling enough, no one seems to have answers. But you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device and send you on your way. Perhaps the questions can wait for now. There's a new place to explore!

2. Go Exploring!: There's plenty of places to see, be it in your designated housing area, or on one of the adjoining community islands! Visit the market on Aerilon. Hike the mountains in Eurus. Sit on the beaches of Imber with a cocktail. Adventure in the forests of Mundus. Be careful though! Every area has it's dangers.

3. Party, party!: On the evening of your first night in the city, a party is being thrown on Aerilon in honor of your arrival. Eat, mingle, dance, meet the other new arrivals! The locals put on quite the celebration!

4. Wild Card! Customize your own scenario to fit your needs!

Grace wrapped her arms around herself tightly, trying to keep breathing. That was one of her daydreams--finding Dara, bringing him home, being the bearer of good luck for once. It was hard to believe that it would actually happen. Not that he'd said when, or if Dara was alive, or--or anything, really, just that she found him. But she couldn't help imagining everything spiraling out from there.

There were too many questions to ask so she just nodded rapidly, tucking her head down while she tried to process which one wanted to come out first.
crowschild: (sadish)

If Grace was the hugging sort of person, Rory might have hugged her. Except it would be weird because she's also so young. Instead he just rocked back on his heels and waited.

He's not going to give her more.

It should be enough of a thingy to help her get through everything though.
unlucky13: (that's what I heard)

[personal profile] unlucky13 2016-05-24 05:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay. Okay. She could deal with this and she probably looked like an idiot. She unlocked her arms from around her body and looked up at Rory with a smile. "That's... good news. Great. Brilliant."

She still needed some time to process it, so she decided to change subjects. "If it's just you and, uh, Ceilidh here, who's taking care of her?"
crowschild: (face in hands)

[personal profile] crowschild 2016-05-24 05:37 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yeah." Everything else, not so brilliant. But at least he's found.

And there's a fun question. "She's at school. They have one here. It took me two weeks to actually get her to stay and not break out. Even then I have to work there for the occasional tries."
unlucky13: (earned a smile)

[personal profile] unlucky13 2016-05-24 05:39 pm (UTC)(link)
"Soooo how much tape does it take to get her to stay?" Because Grace definitely remembered taping up Kale and Trever in a closet. More than once.
crowschild: (face in hands)

[personal profile] crowschild 2016-05-24 05:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Kale and Trever totally deserved to be tapped up.

"Quite a bit. Though she's making some friends there so she's more interested in staying. Thank the Morrigan they're good children who don't believe in breaking out."
unlucky13: (this is exciting)

[personal profile] unlucky13 2016-05-25 12:00 am (UTC)(link)
Absolutely.

"Well, that must make things easier. Unless they're just waiting for your guard to drop so that they can make a successful attempt."
crowschild: (It's a chicken oh well)

[personal profile] crowschild 2016-05-25 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
Anyone who says otherwise clearly has no idea what they're talking about.

"Possibly. Possibly. Hopefully not," he said, perfectly willing to allow such a thing.

"I'm just not sure how we're going to introduce you to her."
unlucky13: (now she'll worry)

[personal profile] unlucky13 2016-05-25 06:40 am (UTC)(link)
"Telling her a lie seems likely to spiral out of control really fast. I mean, I'm not sure I understand how you got so old without me, so I can see where a five-year-old would have trouble, but lying to family usually ends up with someone dumped in the midden. Either literally or metaphorically."

She shrugged, her voice picking up a bit of amusement. "But since you're so responsible now, I'm sure you'll come up with a better idea."
crowschild: (hey there)

[personal profile] crowschild 2016-05-25 06:48 am (UTC)(link)
"I didn't get old without you! You're the same age as me! Not... you... but when I left home you were still my age. But yes, lying is out of the question. I guess we can coach it in terms of fairy. She's been sort of relating this as if we were in some weird part of fairy."

The look Rory gives Grace couldn't be any flatter if it were one dimensional but the he brightened up at as an idea struck him.

"If I'm the responsible adult, that means you get babysitting duty for Ceilidh."
unlucky13: (for serious?)

[personal profile] unlucky13 2016-05-25 06:51 am (UTC)(link)
"Do you really want to give me unsupervised supervision of a kid, Rory? The house would probably burn down with both of us in it." Everything that could go wrong would go wrong, they both knew that. And when there was a kid involved, that was just... not a great idea.
crowschild: (sadish)

[personal profile] crowschild 2016-05-25 06:57 am (UTC)(link)
"Someone needs to watch her!" He ran his hands through his hair, a bit of mad desperation in his eyes. The sort that said he's being a responsible adult but it's really wearing on him.

"I can't! We've been here for two months! Two months without any relief! Not you or mum or Siobhan or Grady or anyone at home. And you know normal baby sitters can't handle us properly."

Dropping his hands his shoulders slumped.
unlucky13: (earned a smile)

[personal profile] unlucky13 2016-05-25 07:00 am (UTC)(link)
"Look on the bright side." She patted Rory's shoulder cheerfully. "If I babysit by myself, we'll probably both die and you'll be free of your cares."

She was sympathetic, it wasn't easy to look after a McCallum child, but she didn't want to do it either.
crowschild: (you're shitting me)

[personal profile] crowschild 2016-05-25 07:04 am (UTC)(link)
Snorting, Rory said, "Are you kidding? Can you imagine what Siobhan would do to me if I got one of her kids killed? Or Mum if you or Ceilidh died on my watch?"

It would be painful.

Very. Very. Painful. On so many different levels of pain.

Some especially created just for him.

In very interesting ways.
unlucky13: (yep got it)

[personal profile] unlucky13 2016-05-25 07:05 am (UTC)(link)
"Well, it wouldn't be your watch, it'd be my watch. And I'd be dead, and in some fairy otherworld, so they wouldn't be able to get me." She grinned up at him. "So really you'd be fine. I'm sure you could explain it to them."
crowschild: (face in hands)

[personal profile] crowschild 2016-05-25 07:15 am (UTC)(link)
"I don't think they'd listen. Theoretically, I should know better after all, being the adult." He sighed again.

"Sorry. Ceilidh's sort of like the twins and us on overdrive. A fairy fan of Siobhan's gifted her at her naming. Including a strong spirit."
unlucky13: (earned a smile)

[personal profile] unlucky13 2016-05-25 07:17 am (UTC)(link)
"Hah! Some frigging fairy." Grace was laugh-cringing at the very idea. Like any McCallum needed to be gifted a strong spirit, except maybe that weird cousin of theirs. He probably could have used a bit of strengthening.
crowschild: (Hey everybody!)

[personal profile] crowschild 2016-05-25 09:56 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yup. Siobhan hid in the bathroom for forty five minutes unable to stop laughing hysterically."

That had been fun.

As for that cousin. Yeah. He's sort of weird like that. No one knows what to do about him.
