Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!
You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!
2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!
3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, Eurus, and now Nidus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right?
4. Trouble!: All is quiet and calm when suddenly the warning signals across each of the islands sound. Not long after, or, at least only long enough to get prepared, a large hydra creature crawling out of the lake on Imber. Do what you can to help remove this threat before it gets to any of the other islands!
5. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!
Raven | Teen Titans | Mid-Season 4 (Just post: The Prophecy)
Normally dealing with crowds people was not high on Raven's "Things to do" list. She preferred small groups at best or to be left alone, especially lately. But finding herself on a boat, waking up (when she didn't remember falling asleep or being knocked out) and having any questions given vague answers at best?
Crowds it was, as Raven kept her cowl up, and listened. Keeping her Empathy tightly shielded as she moved through markets and crowds. Maybe she'd get lucky and find a library or town-hall or archive or something. Mostly she was just trying to figure out what matched the 'vague' answers and what didn't. Listening for now, learning the lay of this place.
Re: Raven | Teen Titans | Mid-Season 4 (Just post: The Prophecy)
He studies her for a moment. While he certainly didn't know a lot of people here yet, he feels fairly certain he's at least never seen her around before. Was she a new arrival then? She seems a little lost from where he's sitting. Not one to just leave people who need help alone, he decides to see if he can be of any help to her.
"Hey there!" He greets her from where he's sitting behind the circulation counter, "Can I help you find something?"
no subject
If nothing else it was quieter than being among the crowds; in more ways than one.
A sigh of relief as she slid in, only opening the door enough to get in and then closing it behind her. The greeting was perhaps a bit more friendly than she was expecting, but--not unexpected really. Looking up at the boy sitting behind the desk, although she didn't smile back. Just made her way over on quiet feet. "Maybe. Directions to the history section would be helpful."
no subject
Her request almost seems to brighten him up even more. History is, by far, his most favorite subject, so of course he took it upon himself to make it the first section he wants to learn by heart when he started working here.
"You're in luck! It's right this way," he says confidently with excitement as he hops up out of his seat and starts to make his way over to the section a short distance away.
Of course, he glances back to make sure she's actually following and when he gets to the row of shelves for that section he pauses.
"All of these shelves have history books," he says this as he motions to aforementioned shelves with his hands, "Is there a particular book you're looking for? I...kind've don't know all these books by heart yet. But I'm working on it."
no subject
She's following, footsteps quiet and paying attention to where they head. "Not a particular book really." Raven ventured, before deciding to fish a bit. "It's more the answers I've gotten so far are vague and unsatisfying."
I hope this is as coherent as I think it sounds please lmk if I need to revise it
"Yeah, the people at the docks can be pretty cryptic and confusing," he agrees. He'd certainly thought something along those lines when he first arrived too, so he understands.
"Well..." he trails off as he gives the shelves a look over "Some of these books do involve some of the history about this place, but not a whole lot." He crosses his arms with a frown after he says this.
"It's a shame really. There's more than enough history to this place, but so little of it is recorded. There's a lot of ruins around here, though. Whatever history is missing must be hiding somewhere in them, I know it."
Aaaaand he went off on a tangent. He realizes this shortly after he stops speaking and turns his attention back to Raven with a bashful smile.
"Ah, sorry. Um...can I help you find anything else?" With his tangent and the fact not many people come by the library, he forgot he was technically working right now.
Skuld >.>
She hopped off her bike and turned around. "Oh wow, sorry about that I was kind...." her hand had been behind her head sheepishly, other hand held out to shake or offer help, but as she got a good look at the other girl her words got slower and she seemed a bit less sure of herself. "of... in...a... rush..." the last word was almost whispered.
She couldn't help it, the girl looked.... creepy. Almost Demon level creepy, but since Banpei was just wheeling his way over, she knew that wasn't a threat at least. So long as she wasn't a ghost or some sort of monster, Skuld could handle it. right? Right?
Re: Skuld >.>
"Must be some rush." The dry-tone might've been sarcasm, or it might've just been Raven's normal inflections. Sometimes it was hard to tell.

It wasn't hard for her to tell she found Raven creepy. Raven was aware that most people found her creepy. Combine that with 'almost running her down' and Raven was trying to be reassuring.
no subject
"Ah... Not here. There... ah... isn't much traffic in this place...." Skuld stammered.

Noticing the girl in the cloak, he thoughtfully glanced towards her for a moment before reaching for a book and plucking it off the shelf and offering it to her. "Here, you might need this."
It was a general locations book of the islands, but it was useful.

"This is a generalized map of the area if you need that. It's a little more convenient than the map they gave us originally."

"Very well!"
Putting some boom into his usually reedy voice, All Might proclaimed, "We are here, on Medietas, a collection of islands that were in the sky until previously! Each one of them have a theme, possibly from the collection of locations they were taken from as attributed to the large crater in the shape of one of the islands."

"As for the crater, it is on the mainland just to the north. It seems like the place has been lifted right from it."
no subject
A pause, and then a slight relaxing of her shoulders under her cloak. "You're correct--I just arrived, and the vague answers they gave me weren't exactly helpful." Another pause, then more quietly. "I'm Raven."
no subject
"Vague answers usually aren't, but I'd imagine whoever got them to make the spiel has a interesting story behind it."
He nodded. "Toshi. Nice to meet you."
