Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!

2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!

3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, Eurus, and now Nidus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right? Even if you have been stolen away from your home world to a bunch of floating islands.

4. Trouble!: All is quiet and calm when suddenly the warning signals across each of the islands sound. Not long after, or, at least only long enough to get prepared, a large hydra creature crawling out of the lake on Imber. Do what you can to help remove this threat before it gets to any of the other islands!

5. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

Raven sighed. Of course. Not that there'd been much to go home to. A renewed life with Charles, maybe, but... "I suppose it wasn't my fate to be a teacher after all." She eyed the child on Erik's chest. She wasn't being a babysitter, either.

She offered him a wry smile. "Every time I run into you, my life gets that much more interesting. Running away with you, trying to shoot me, and then mutant gods. Now flying cities? What's next, Erik?"

Not that any but the first part was really his fault. Well, and the shooting.

"There's a school here." So she could be a teacher if she really wanted to be. He does not work there. Which all the parents on the islands are probably thankful for.

"I don't know. I guess we'll find out." There are worse people to be stuck here with than Raven. Out of everyone he'd left behind when he left for Dallas, he'd missed her the most.

"I am sorry about trying to shoot you, you know."

Raven shook her head. "That was a long time ago." It felt like a lifetime. She'd been so angry back then. She'd really been more like Erik had when he'd been hunting down Shaw. It'd become more than a mission to her; it had been personal. She'd lost friends. She'd lost more than that.

"I don't know that I'd want to be a teacher. Not like that." She wouldn't know what to teach or how to do it. Her schooling had never been to the level that Charles took it. Books bored her just like Charles' dissertation had put her to sleep. The most she was qualified for was physical education. Besides, surely she couldn't be here that long.

It says something to him that she's willing to let that go. Just like he's not upset by the fact that she shot him, too. It was exactly what he'd taught her to do, and he knows why she did it.

"You could teach self-defense classes." He knows first-hand how good she is at that. "If anyone wants references, just tell them to ask me."

"Why would I teach anything?" It wasn't a slight, just an honest question. She didn't understand how this place worked. Was it a socialist society, a capitalist one? She'd never needed a regular job before mainly because she had her own means of doing things. Getting the things she needed from the people who could afford it and who often should have afforded it.

"You don't have to." She seems to feel the same way about it that he does. "It seems that we are expected to have jobs around here."

He's not exactly thrilled about that, either. It's not like he's ever had a steady job himself. He'd never been in one place long enough. Until it had been a necessary part of his disguise.

"And what happens if we don't do as expected?" Raven asked cautiously. She wasn't sure that she'd want a job straightaway, but if she needed to, maybe she could do some kind of self-defense classes. She'd probably do better one-on-one than in charge of a group of students.

"You have some time to find one. I don't know what happens if you don't do as expected." Which is probably a surprise as much as anything about him is, that he hasn't tested the boundaries of this place in that way. "Other than not having any money, anyway."

Which is why he hadn't decided to test these particular limits. He has had a job before, and besides, he'll do whatever it takes to keep from starving.
