Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.

Possible Scenarios:

1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!

2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!

3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, Eurus, and now Nidus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right? ~~Even if you have been stolen away from your home world to a bunch of floating islands~~.

4. Trouble!: All is quiet and calm when suddenly the warning signals across each of the islands sound. Not long after, or, at least only long enough to get prepared, a large hydra creature crawling out of the lake on Imber. Do what you can to help remove this threat before it gets to any of the other islands!

5. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

[Mokuba is still far enough away he doesn't hear what Noa says. He does clearly see that the snake definitely notices him and stares at him though.

After a moment's pause, he decides to tentatively raise a hand up in greeting. Either this snake person is perfectly friendly and just looks freaky, or Mokuba is going to be high-tailing it in the other direction as fast as possible while Hiryu lets loose with the hidden flamethrower in its mouth.]

[WAVING. The boy is waving, well, sort of, he's sort of waving and frankly he's probably going to be standing stock stiff for a good five minutes just dwelling on that fact alone HOW IS HE HERE?!

...People don't have to be dead, to be here. They certainly didn't in the case of Ryslig, as much as he found solace in the fact that it was his 'second change'. What did that make this then? His third? A punishment?

A gift..?

He feels like crying. (He's not going to cry, he can't let himself cry-)

To spend all that time accepting what he can never see again, what he can never return to, only to see it here...that's simply-] Mnh...

MOKUBA..!

[His voice hasn't changed much, since then. Still a child's. Still 'his'.

Still 'Noa's.]

[Mokuba freezes when he hears that voice call out his name. It knows his name, calls out like it knows him. And the color of the hair...

He dares to start walking forwards so he can get closer.] ... Noa?

[He certainly does-and he looks terrified. Of what, exactly? What could he possibly be scared of, guilt? Himself?

...Judgement, maybe?

Don't be foolish, he tells himself. It isn't as though being here means he knows about 'Ryslig'. About what monster means in Ryslig, about what monsters ate in Ryslig, about what he embraced-

...The boy nods.] ...I...

[He's lost for words. What a joke-Noa Kaiba, lost for words, after all the talking he could manage before!] ...Is he here too then? [he finds himself asking instead, a slight frown over his face. ...He'll be fine talking to Mokuba.

He's not sure if he can stomach a meeting with Seto again.]

What happened to you? [He doesn't look scared of Noa - maybe a bit horrified because he's a snake, why is he a snake and mostly confused but afraid? No, he's not afraid of his stepbrother.

At the mention of Seto though, Mokuba's face falls.] No, he... I haven't seen Niisama for months.

[Hiryu, meanwhile, is rearing up like its about to attack, because surely a snake monster is a threat to Mokuba. Mokuba catches it though and puts a hand in front of its face, blocking the way and ordering sharply:] No! This is Noa, he's my brother. Don't ever attack him, okay?

[Hiryu makes a little growling noise but obeys, settling back down next to him but keeping its eyes on Noa.]

It's... [...Well. A long story sounds utterly cliched, and he grimaces at the very thought of the word. He adjusts the glasses he's taken to wearing, taking a moment to rub his forehead in the process.] ...Very complicated, [he eventually settles on, and for a moment surprise is allowed back onto his face. Months? On the one hand that isn't surprising. Wherever they've gone wherever they've been, when has he himself had someone he recognized? True, there was that 'Rosenkreuz' sort that was likely a distant relative but...

...He's not going to touch on that.

Before he can even respond to it, the cy-buddy is rearing, Noa's own claws twitching as the snakes off his head start to hiss dangerously. They can't do much-they're pythons not vipers-but they're not pleased with the perceived threat, and it takes a moment for them to calm down with the robot in such a state.

Brother. ~~He is NOT going to cry, dammit!~~

It feels almost a hollow victory, to hear that. Brother...] ...So you've been here for months then? [he questions, trying to find some way, anyway to start conversation with the boy without touching on being a snake.] ...Well, [he chuckles, giving a shrug and crossing his arms.] You've certainly been here longer than I have then, haven't you?

...I've been somewhere else entirely. [...Somewhere he's glad he never saw the other in, honestly.]

Yeah... complicated. [He sure bets it's a long and complicated story.]

Not here. I just got here. I was somewhere else for a few months too. [He tilts his head to the side curiously.] What was the place called where you were? [He knows it couldn't have been Cerealia.]

[He nods, if only to confirm-but that's odder news.] Someplace else? [he repeats, narrowing his eyes.] ....I came from Ryslig, [Noa explains.] ...You...weren't there, were you..?

[He said 'a few months'-of course it couldn't have been Ryslig, they'd both be inhuman if that were the case, but the words escape him without thought. The slightest possibility is enough to bring the fear.]

No, it doesn't sound familiar. I was in a place called Cerealia. They told us aliens had destroyed our worlds and the people who ran the city had saved us a code so they could try and find a way to rebuild our worlds and us again.

[......................He can't help himself.] .............That sounds [FAKE] suspicious. Not to mention like a sci-f plot...

[He said, coming out of a horror situation.] ...Ryslig was unique. Some of those brought there were still alive as far as they could recall, [Noa explains, feeling at least this much to be safe to speak about.] Others...were like me. In both cases, someone calling themselves a god of that realm gathered us for largely unknown reasons.

She wasn't very open about what she was doing. [...Other than the war bit. But he's not talking about that lalalalalla-]

[Mokuba grins.] Yeah, I didn't believe them either.

Did you... show up like that [He gestures towards his snake body] or did that happen to you while you were there?

[He flashes a brief, if not oddly friendly smirk to that-it's good to be with at least partially likeminded sorts.

And then Mokuba asks that question, and he has to drop it. Ah.]

...It happened over time. ...anyone who arrived there, everyone, became 'something'. ...I've gotten used to it, [he tries to add more optimistically-it isn't a lie after all. Before getting here he was even making jokes about having no legs! ...he isn't sure he can find a good window for one right now though.] And... ...I'd forgotten, I think, what 'real' life was...

Oh. Is there... a way for you to go back to looking like a human...?

[............There are many things that come to mind with that question. If it were Ryslig it'd be brushed off with a sense of hopelessness-no, there is not, not for anyone, get used to it.

This is not Ryslig however, and instead he finds the first thought is... '...Is this really so bad?'

The second is 'it is not', of course. It can't be possible, it wouldn't, it shouldn't, and...] ...I doubt it. ...It isn't as if I had a living body to begin with...and besides that, as I said, I'm used to this by now; I've looked like this for over a year, you know.

Well, it's better than nothing. [He smiles encouragingly.] I'm glad you can have a second chance at living. It sounds like you were in that other world for awhile. Did you make new friends there?

[Ah. Now that brings a more honest smile to his face again, even if it's temporary again. Come to think, he'd miss the snakes on his hair as well...no one wants to lose pets. Or...

...Friends. His answer isn't spoken immediately, but his expression is clear. ...They were idiots honestly, but...] ...I did.

...I could even say obvious exceptions aside they were my...first. Friends, [he says quietly, the word foreign on his lips. Did he ever tell them that? Not really. He'd 'warmed up' enough to hold a Christmas party but... ....Too little too late, it seems.] ...One came from your future, interestingly. Apparently Seto builds a boarding school for duelists.

[He had to at least mention that. It's to ridiculous not to mention.]

That's great - I'm glad, Noa.

Niisama has a dueling school in the future? I'm not surprised. [He wonders what he's doing in the future.]

[A polite nod is all he'll say on the friends topic from there-that's a wound he's received too recently, and is in no mood to open up.

As for the school, he sighs.] ...Apparently. For some time, given they were a graduate...

Interestingly, I was briefly mistaken for you, however. [Something about the hair. And it being kind of everywhere now.]
