Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!

2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!

3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, or Eurus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right? Even if you have been stolen away from your homeworld to a bunch of floating islands.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

There were faces Remy never expected to see here, both in Medietas, and in this bar, and Emma was one of them. She seemed not so likely to be in a bar, when he had known her at the institute.

How odd.

He padded up to the bar, curious at what she was doing, and unnerved at her presence.

"Pardon, mademoiselle'. How goes the day for you?"

"Madame, I'm no doe eyed little trollop," Emma replied without looking up. She wasn't married, but she was an adult, dammit. Her eyes remained glued to her paperwork. She was in no mood to be hit on.

Remy grinned, one side of his mouth turning it into a smirk as he settled to the bar onto a seat next to hers.

"Having fun, yet, Emma?"

Oh, he knew her. Emma looked up and frowned a little. She turned her paper over and added it to the stack of completed grading. "Fun? Whoever was teaching these children before must have been a complete idiot. Is there something I can help you with or is this a social visit?"

"Just a social one. Didn't realize you had arrived." Remy offered her a smile that was actually welcoming. The number of mutants here was slowly rising.

"When did you get here?"

"Oh, I suppose not." She didn't ever look sheepish, but she did look less sour. "I arrived last week. When I heard there was a school I decided it was best to keep busy. Charles is here, so I'm watching the network to decide when and how I'll inform the public I'm here."

She was laying low, in other words. "Buy me a drink."

"Aye. Charles, and Erik both, as well as Noriko Ashida." He paused, then nodded. "But the Erik is not from our world."

Best to give her that information now.

"Of course." Remy snapped his fingers for the bartender laying a gold coin on the bar. "What'll you have?"

"Vodka martini, dirty, extra olives," Emma said, with the ease of someone who'd said it many times before. "Noriko, hmmm? That's interesting." Which was the most mild way to put it. "Magneto is here but not from our world, and I think Charles is different as well. It's quite strange, actually."

"Lorna Dane is also here," he said, after ordering for them both, and then turning back to her. "from a point where she seems stable and happy... and pregnant."

He grinned at her. "There's even another. A young woman, a little on the outer edge of socialization, but she has skills... ones she keeps under her hat. Her name is Sinthia."

Emma's eyebrows rose at the mention of Lorna being pregnant. "Well, I suppose that is a hazard of dating a Summers, according to the rumors." A hazard she was neatly avoiding, thankfully. The mention of a young woman who kept her powers hidden was far more interesting than the assorted bag of crazy that was Lorna Dane. "Sinthia? I don't know her."

"She's new, not from the school. Maybe from another world, but she... feels like a mutant, y'know?" He had that sort of feeling around most of them.

"So, when are you from, back home? What happened there, last?"

"We defeated a Skrull invasion," Which was the least interesting part of that endeavor. "I need to get back, but I assume if there was a way back nobody would be here."

"Really?" He blew out a long breath, remembering those events. "That's been... awhile, in my past." He shook his head. "Over a year, maybe more."

Some times things blurred past.

Emma's eyebrows rose again. The bartender returned with her drink and she sipped it thoughtfully, putting her red pen down. "What happened?"

Remy sipped his, and ordered his thoughts. "Truth to tell, so much that it makes it hard to tell. It hasn't been a peaceful time."

Remy felt himself rather morose for a moment.

Emma's expression became grave. She put her drink down and turned to face Remy properly. "Tell me anyway. I need to know. There are. . . things that I'm attending to and I want to know how they end."

Remy sighed. He put his drink down as well and ordered his mind, fully, concentrating on opening and silencing his powers. "Read me. It will be a lot easier for you to get all of it if I am thinking of it, and you follow me that way."

Language sometimes lost things.

Emma nodded, putting a hand to his temple. With Remy she needed all the help she could get to read him. "Give me a moment, I'm on my third drink and vodka makes things more slippery."

She took a couple deep breaths and concentrated, then gently probed for Remy's mind.

"At your measure, then." He settled and let himself drain of almost all emotion and thought, and closed his eyes, focusing on one memory to start, in the wake of that invasion, and then letting her control from there.

The mental probe didn't last long. In real time it was about five minutes. To Emma it was as if she'd lived entirely through that year, albeit in a sort of staticky, colorless way. When she pulled back she was very grim. Her hand shook as it reached for her glass and she downed her martini in one go.

"Well, that's good to know," she said dryly.

Remy sighed and slumped a little, taking his drink and waving for a new one. "Yeah. It was... so much fun." He shook his head.

"S'why I haven't been in a hurry to find a way out."

"Fair enough," Emma said with a sigh. "These papers can wait if you'd like to discuss things." Especially things that weren't her future and his past.

"Mostly I just wanted to see if there was anything I could help you with, as far as settling in, and the like." He cleared his throat.

"I've made a few contacts."

"No. I've found employment and that is all I really need." She looked down at her papers and sighed. "What are you doing for a living?"

"I bartend, and I also have been running a few rotating games. I don't have to do anything at all, really as far as cheating. Most of them love games of chance but are terrible at it. By being careful, I've been increasing my cash slowly."

He grinned at her.
