Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!
You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!
2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!
3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, or Eurus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right?
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

I don't think the land's going anywhere.

[He turns the camera away, slowly panning it over his surroundings. He knows where he is well enough to get back to his house, but not enough to direct someone to him, so he's hoping Vax might recognize what he can see.]

[He clicks his heels and sets off- he'll be appearing at Shaun's side about ten minutes later.]

"You didn't need to waste those on me, you know," he commented as Vax approached. "I hardly need to tell you, you can only use them once a day."

Normally, he wouldn't miss a beat, but he was exhausted, and there was a flicker on his face, emotions too conflicted and too quickly passing to be read with any clarity. It was also the night when Gilmore had managed to build these walls, put up the boundaries that he knew needed to be there. Vax had another love, one he'd chosen over Gilmore, and now here he was, racing to Gilmore's side at the slightest provocation and using magic to get here even faster. Self-sacrificing bastard. Gilmore felt himself fall a little more depressingly in love with him.
"Curious," was all he said. "Some sort of time magic, it seems, then. As well as whatever else may be going on. I remember the night you speak of, it was..." He thought for a moment. "Well, before you went to Ank'Harel, so perhaps a couple of weeks ago?"

This time, though, he was ready, and his smile was perfectly in place, if still a little exhausted. "Now now, Vax'ildan, haven't you learned anything from me?" He leaned in, like he was telling Vax a secret. "Presentation is everything."

"I told you, I'll sleep when I'm sleepy," he said with a chuckle, as breezy and unruffled as ever. "I don't know what you think is happening, my dear Vax, but I'm hardly going to keel over where I stand. I thought I'd explore until dinnertime, then eat something. Perhaps seek out a library or bookstore before heading back home."

But if Gilmore didn't want to talk about it, they wouldn't talk about it. They could keep walking. "You know, I haven't found either of those. I found a game store, but that's about the closest I've found to books."
no subject
"Is that so? How curious. It's possible you haven't looked hard enough," he pointed out with a raised eyebrow. He didn't know how invested Vax really might have been in finding a place with books.
no subject
"That's probably true." Vax wasn't overly invested in books and though he had a general map of the islands in his head, he hadn't investigated each and every shop. "What are you hoping to find at the bookstore?"
no subject
"That's a good question," he said, considering it. "History, to begin with. Arcana, or anything I can find about the magic here. It's not like the magic we know, that's pretty clear, and I'd like to know something about it before I try to use any of my own magic."

"So they do have a castle. Are we ruled by a king and queen, then?" he asked. Gilmore, after all, had experience dealing with rulers. He didn't think he'd find anything in the castle that Vax didn't, nor did he assume they'd be interested in some random newcomer, but at this point, everything was information that might be valuable later.
