Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!

2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!

3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, or Eurus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right? Even if you have been stolen away from your homeworld to a bunch of floating islands.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

If only it was that easy. Vax tried to keep his feelings tidy by walking away from them, but they had a tendency to keep following him, sneaking up on him at the worst of times to stab him in the kidneys.

But if Gilmore didn't want to talk about it, they wouldn't talk about it. They could keep walking. "You know, I haven't found either of those. I found a game store, but that's about the closest I've found to books."

Well, he could either act on them or he could keep them the hell out of Gilmore's sight. Gilmore might be far too soft for his own good, but he was not a man to be jerked around. He wasn't going to let Vax make him feel guilty and responsible for a choice Vax had made.

"Is that so? How curious. It's possible you haven't looked hard enough," he pointed out with a raised eyebrow. He didn't know how invested Vax really might have been in finding a place with books.

Vax wasn't trying to do that. He was trying to... be a friend. That was how friends cared about each other, wasn't it?

"That's probably true." Vax wasn't overly invested in books and though he had a general map of the islands in his head, he hadn't investigated each and every shop. "What are you hoping to find at the bookstore?"

Throwing everything to the wayside at the first opportunity to throw yourself on a sword for someone? Rushing to their side immediately to fuss like a mother hen? No. That wasn't how 'just friends' cared for each other.

"That's a good question," he said, considering it. "History, to begin with. Arcana, or anything I can find about the magic here. It's not like the magic we know, that's pretty clear, and I'd like to know something about it before I try to use any of my own magic."

"I don't know how much luck you'll have with that. They are pre-tty cagey with their information- I tried checking out that big castle and got nowhere." Which disgruntled him thoroughly. He'd tried a few ways to sneak in- without telling anyone, of course- and gotten turned back at every attempt.

"There may be a difference between looking for a book and trying to sneak into a castle, my friend," Gilmore pointed out, unable to help grinning. He knew Vax, and didn't buy for a second that he'd just sauntered up like a normal person and asked questions.

"Who said I snuck?" Vax's voice was mock-offended. Though of course he'd tried sneaking, just... not well enough, it seemed. "But I suppose you could be right."

Vax's mock-offendedness was met with only an unimpressed look. Honey, please, that look said.

"So they do have a castle. Are we ruled by a king and queen, then?" he asked. Gilmore, after all, had experience dealing with rulers. He didn't think he'd find anything in the castle that Vax didn't, nor did he assume they'd be interested in some random newcomer, but at this point, everything was information that might be valuable later.

"No idea. Like I said, they don't spread information around. I haven't been here long enough to hear from any kind of ruler." And sure, you could go for a while without a proclamation from a government, but for things to be this unclear is a little strange.

Now that was unusual. Gilmore frowned as he thought this over. "There must be some form of government," he said, gesturing broadly with both hands. "Things on this scale don't hold together without one. What happens when someone does something naughty?" If he could figure out what happened to criminals, he might be able to figure out who was in charge.
