Welcome to Medietas! Have an interest in joining the game? Maybe you have an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, maybe you're just looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You've just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon, via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!
2. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see!
3. Event: Teams are being put together to venture out deep into the islands of Eurus and Mulciber to track and destroy a vicious beast who has been the reason for the disappearances of several island locals. Please help stop the creature before anyone else goes missing!
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

"Rule number one," she murmured. But that was fine. It was comforting, that her last moments, would be him lying to her. It was so...very... them.
She wanted to reach for his face, she even thought she might have been reaching for his face, though her hand didn't even twitch.
No sleeping icons >.<
It hadn't yet sunk in that this wasn't the last moment after all.
It would probably be nearly an hour, most of which she thankfully slept through, before they would declare that she would be fine. They told him that he could sit with her, if he wanted. The space suit had to be cut off of her, showing the jump suit she was wearing under. She was pale, laying there, asleep, but breathing more easily. Her pulse strong and steady.
She was alive. Somehow, despite logic and memory and history, she was here. And she was alive.
Oh no! :: gives tea and DVDs::
"One day," she murmured as she started to awaken "You are going to have to tell me how you pulled this one off." And if he said "Spoilers," she might just smack him. Would be worth it, though.

Some residual pain, there, but she was never one to let that stop her. Not when the Doctor was concerned. "I don't know where we are or why, or more to the point, why I am at all, anymore."

She wasn't even going to dignify his comment about her needing rest with a response. She was sure he didn't expect one. "Alright then, two seconds to get myself together, and hopefully find something better to wear, then off we pop."
Eyeing her stuff from her seat, as though she were still sitting because she chose to, not because she could really use the extra few moments, she frowned. "Squareness gun is only so useful, I'll need to find something better."

But now... Now she was starting to believe that maybe, just maybe, she was different. That it might almost be alright.
Of course, stubbornness for its own sake was always a temptation. He was always so cute when he was frustrated with her, and this face was no different than any other, that way.
It was tempting. To rest a bit longer. To recover so that she could run well with him. Keep up with him more easily. But the Doctor didn't do well with sitting still. If she slept, would he be there when she awoke?
Probably not.
But then, this face did like to surprise her. She hadn't expected him before. And she should have. She should well have. But now... She was unsure, and that wasn't good. She needed to decide, then commit fully to her choice.
Her lips curled slightly as she realized that the best choice wasn't one or the other. It wasn't laying back and resting, and it wasn't getting up and being active. Given two choices, River doesn't invariably choose the third option. Just often enough to keep things interesting.
And this time? A third option; to stall for time in a fun way, committing to neither choice, accepting neither choice, not acknowledging that there ever was a choice other than exactly what she chose. Teasing the Doctor. There was no better way to spend time than any that included the Doctor. The worst moments with him were far better than the best without him. In fact, the worst moments with him were often also the best.
"You know," she said, her eyes dancing over his face, "I heard someone say once that when someone who has lived very nearly forever, suggests that someone who does not should rest, it means that they're really looking for an excuse to rest themselves." She smiled at him. "Did you want to lay down, Doctor?"
She trusted him to see the teasing for what it was. A chance for her to take a few enjoyable moments without showing weakness. To be playful a bit, to enjoy the moment before the running. Which is also enjoyable.

A little early for you, non?
Good. You need your rest!
And the way she looked at him? She hadn't changed the condition because of his reaction. That was what she wanted. To be able to tell herself, even if it was a lie, that he'd still be with her.
That too!
It's fine, I was able to figure it out :D We like to keep doing sleep scenes with them...
She loved running with the Doctor, always had, always would. But that was most of what they did. Run. Argue. Flirt. Save the day.
So moments of quiet, like this? They were special. Wonderful. Her only regret would be that she was asleep, and not fully aware it was even happening. But then... maybe that was the only way that it could.
In her sleep, her fingers curled around his. Not tight enough to trap, just enough... to hold, to have, to connect.
If she ever learned that, she'd be so touched. She might just melt, internally.
:D

As I now hear the helping hands in my head "Yes, which way?" "Would you like us to let go?"
