Welcome to Medietas! Have an interest in joining the game? Maybe you have an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, maybe you're just looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You've just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon, via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!
2. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see!
3. Event: Teams are being put together to venture out deep into the islands of Eurus and Mulciber to track and destroy a vicious beast who has been the reason for the disappearances of several island locals. Please help stop the creature before anyone else goes missing!
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

But now... Now she was starting to believe that maybe, just maybe, she was different. That it might almost be alright.
Of course, stubbornness for its own sake was always a temptation. He was always so cute when he was frustrated with her, and this face was no different than any other, that way.
It was tempting. To rest a bit longer. To recover so that she could run well with him. Keep up with him more easily. But the Doctor didn't do well with sitting still. If she slept, would he be there when she awoke?
Probably not.
But then, this face did like to surprise her. She hadn't expected him before. And she should have. She should well have. But now... She was unsure, and that wasn't good. She needed to decide, then commit fully to her choice.
Her lips curled slightly as she realized that the best choice wasn't one or the other. It wasn't laying back and resting, and it wasn't getting up and being active. Given two choices, River doesn't invariably choose the third option. Just often enough to keep things interesting.
And this time? A third option; to stall for time in a fun way, committing to neither choice, accepting neither choice, not acknowledging that there ever was a choice other than exactly what she chose. Teasing the Doctor. There was no better way to spend time than any that included the Doctor. The worst moments with him were far better than the best without him. In fact, the worst moments with him were often also the best.
"You know," she said, her eyes dancing over his face, "I heard someone say once that when someone who has lived very nearly forever, suggests that someone who does not should rest, it means that they're really looking for an excuse to rest themselves." She smiled at him. "Did you want to lay down, Doctor?"
She trusted him to see the teasing for what it was. A chance for her to take a few enjoyable moments without showing weakness. To be playful a bit, to enjoy the moment before the running. Which is also enjoyable.

A little early for you, non?
Good. You need your rest!
And the way she looked at him? She hadn't changed the condition because of his reaction. That was what she wanted. To be able to tell herself, even if it was a lie, that he'd still be with her.
That too!
It's fine, I was able to figure it out :D We like to keep doing sleep scenes with them...
She loved running with the Doctor, always had, always would. But that was most of what they did. Run. Argue. Flirt. Save the day.
So moments of quiet, like this? They were special. Wonderful. Her only regret would be that she was asleep, and not fully aware it was even happening. But then... maybe that was the only way that it could.
In her sleep, her fingers curled around his. Not tight enough to trap, just enough... to hold, to have, to connect.
If she ever learned that, she'd be so touched. She might just melt, internally.
A small lazy smile worked its way across her lips as her opened and she saw him, realized he still held her hand. Physical affection from her bow-tied boy, she enjoyed. But since this Doctor touched so much more rarely, it was so much more special. How long had he been holding her hand? Since she didn't recall taking his hand... had he taken hers? Warmth filled her as she smiled at him, laying on her side, facing him,
"Hello, Sweetie."
:D
And yes, she is going to keep looking at him, this him that way.

She was tempted to stick with what she had, but then a smile curled at her lips, a delicious idea forming. She started pulling clothes of his over her own, a few quick adjustments here and there as needed. Nothing that would last long, but that would hold well enough for now, which was all that was needed.
Soon she was in black trousers, a white button down shirt half unbuttoned over the jumpsuit. She considered the waistcoat, then smirking, pulled it on, buttoning it just so, making it make her seem that much more impressive, then the black jacket. That done, she began stashing her stuff in the waistband, pockets, and tucked into her shoes. She had to take the boots from the suit, sadly. Not much for choices, there. But still.
She walked over to him, it was cute how hard he was working to...not... look. "Well, I must say, I like the style." Which of course, was her way of saying "I wear it better" without saying that at all.

She offered her arm slightly, he was free to take it - or to not.
"We shall," she said simply. She eyed the suit, and then stopped. Frowned.
"I just had a rather nasty thought." She did rather hope she was wrong.

"I was thinking that the suit was in the Library, and now it is here. I'm wondering what the chance is that I just unwittingly released a swarm on this world," she said softly, eyes still on the suit probing for shadows that shouldn't be there.

As I now hear the helping hands in my head "Yes, which way?" "Would you like us to let go?"
