Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!

2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon!

3. Event: The Faire's in town! Feast, socialize, dance, play games! There's plenty to do and the grounds on Mundus are packed with festivities for all to enjoy.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

To say there are new things to learn is like saying there is water in the ocean. It is not descriptive enough by far. Both the hospital and the library are places where Claire has buried her nose in, learning, always learning, about all the advancements since her time. In a way, she feels as if she has stepped forward through the stones, to a time that is far beyond her own.

It has kept her busy, between work and learning, and other endeavors. She has been on the main island, and has finished up her shift for the day. With no pressing issues that had kept her, Claire had set out, intent on her destination, until there is a voice. It is familiar, and it does make Claire come to a complete stop. For a moment, she stands there, before it registers. Yes. Yes, it is. And pregnant. Very, very pregnant.

"Who actually ever lays claim to that, has not actually announced their role in any of this."

She turns when she hears the familiar voice, the one she only heard for the first time yesterday, when Jamie strolled back into their lives after four years of thinking he was dead. She's not sure Claire's presence helped the situation any. She's unsure what to make of Claire herself. Jamie should have a Scottish wife; Lallybroch should have a Scottish lady, someone for whom the land is in the blood. This is what he has instead.

She's not sure Claire's presence helps here, either. She can't even say that it's not the English who are behind this, because she gets the impression that Claire's not on good standing with them either.

Is she just supposed to go along with this?

"It matters not to them that some of us have families or obligations, I suppose."

While Claire can make an educated guess as to when Jenny might be from, a guess is all it would be. She can't really speak about time marching onwards, as Claire knows firsthand that it isn't always the case. Yet this is beyond her own experience with the stones. With that in mind, she certainly isn't going to start talking about time travel.

"You would suppose correctly. Whatever their desire is, they do not make it known. All simply arrive by the same method and are deposited at the same destination." She has watched the ships sometimes, seeing them dock and watched as new individuals came out.

"It seems to me that they'd get a lot farther toward gettin' what they want if they told us what it was they wanted." It seems strange to her, all of this, and she's not sure what she thinks of Claire's presence here, or Claire as an ally, but at least Claire has some information about the situation.

Her information is rather limited in the grand scheme of things, although she does have knowledge about waking up in a foreign place. Not that she's going to say that at the moment. No doubt it would earn a colourful reaction from her husband's sister. "I wish I could offer more. Perhaps they merely wish to observe us or they just are not ready. Or, it is all some unfortunate mistake."

"I'm gettin' tired of other people's mistakes." She's not directing any ire at Jamie here. This is bigger than that (and any mistakes she thinks Jamie has made she'll tell him about personally). Although what's really worse here is what people don't think of as mistakes but which leave other people having to make do the best they can.
