Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!
2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon!
3. Event: The Faire's in town! Feast, socialize, dance, play games! There's plenty to do and the grounds on Mundus are packed with festivities for all to enjoy.
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!
Remy LeBeau | Marvel Comics
Remy was sure that life was playing a cosmic joke on him. Somehow, he had gotten on the bad side of mama fate, and he couldn't think of how, but here he was, as proof. He sighed as he looked around the alien world, and ran a thumb over his jaw. Well, then. He would need to test a few things. But first, he needed information.
He grinned, and his duster billowing wide, walked forward into the crowds, a playing card glimmering as he flipped it between fingers as he walked. His eyes, red glowing against a black background, got a little notice now and then, but not as much as he had thought they might.
He raised a hand to the next person he saw who wasn't in a hurry and smiled. "Pardon me, but got a moment to help a poor Cajun out?"
Getting Settled
Remy was grinning. He was jogging along as he looked around the area, and found himself just grinning. It was a grin that was half-happiness and half-sheer irritation, but still. it was there. He had pushed his environment, he had shoved it, and he had learned a lot. And earned a lot, while he was at it.
He'd even done a little bit of work, even if that work had been a little bit play, too.
Since he had arrived, he had tested this place fairly well. He'd snuck into the palace, vaulting, digging under, and slipping past, the walls, and every time, he had woken up instantly upon getting in, back in his bed in his 'starter home'. He had been surprised, and wondered how, exactly, they had done that, but it seemed the powers that be had it under control.
He had hijacked a boat and ran it as fast as he could toward the wall, pushing it even after he had started feeling bad, and worse, and woken up, again, in his bed. This time, he had felt so bad, he hadn't bee able to get up for a few days. Following that, he had rigged a way to examine the underside of the bridges, even climbed down a little to look at the bottom of one of the islands, and had learned nothing. His attempt to stow away on one of the boats had resulted in him blacking out and... yes, you guessed it, waking up once more in his starter home.
He had questioned a few people, under private lock, and had realized nobody had any answers, yet. And while some were still looking, others were settling in, and some who were here were dead back home, making that make some sort of sense.
All in all, it had felt like a prison, and it still did, but it also felt like the best damn prison he had ever been in, including the Earth, and New Orleans, both.
So it was, today, a little over a few weeks into his life here, that Remy was seeing this place as just another opportunity. One that might last long, or might last short, depending on how Mama Fate decided to act, but either way, one he could exploit. Which he had been doing, some. He had gone and found games to play and join, some odd, some familiar, Apparently poker had found its way into the back halls of this place, and even into some wealthy men's hearts. And some wealthy men had secrets. Remy had exploited that and now had a small pretty penny or two hidden about the island. Just in case.
And as he jogged, he was grinning. His shirt was tucked into his belt as he trotted along, since Remy never did mind giving a show, along with his collapsible staff and a few other things.
Arrival
Re: Arrival
"What brings a person with such a perfectly normal and uneventful life as yours to a place like this?" He waggled his eyebrows.
Re: Arrival
Lorna laughed. Some people took things in perfect stride. Of course Remy was one of them. "Feeling enormous, but good, otherwise. You just get here or have I been missing you?" She rested her hands on her protruding belly.
Re: Arrival
"You look like you're ready to kick those babies out and charge them rent."
Re: Arrival
She laughed. "I am. I'm glad to see you, too. Join me for lunch? This little girl is making me hungry."
Re: Arrival
"How far along are you?"
Re: Arrival
She laughed, giving him a light, playful shove. "You better." She wasn't nice when she was hungry.
His question made her smile. "Start of my third trimester. So I'm going to get even bigger, if you can believe it."
Re: Arrival
He walked along with her. "Y' look beautiful, Lorna. You'll get through."
Re: Arrival
"thank you. So we better get the standard questions or if the way. What's the last thing you remember from home?" She wanted to know when he was from, if they were from the same universe.
Re: Arrival
Re: Arrival
"Well, I'm from before that, but I met another version of you that was from after." They'd been close. She decided not to tell him that, though. "It's been more than a year since I left home."

Getting Settled
Today, at that moment (right or wrong, however it would pan out), she was out for a run, skin sheened with sweat that looked like she was coated in glittering mica powder underneath her shorts and bra. She concentrated on her route, on dodging and looping the passersby that streamed around her, until she got to the halfway point, and simply turned her head upside-down, loosening her ponytail, and poured her water bottle over it.
Re: Getting Settled
"Now, there's a sight for sore eyes, chere'. Makes a man wish he had come along sooner." Remy'd never say that to anyone he couldn't joke with, but Noriko? He was better could take and give it, just as well.
Re: Getting Settled
But when she sees Remy and the drawl of his voice clues in, her smile brightens and Nori leans back against the corner of the building she'd stopped at. "Same goes for you, Cajun," she says, shaking her head. "God, I'm glad to see someone I know." She didn't give him much more warning before she just tugged him in for a tight embrace, arms draping over his shoulders.
Re: Getting Settled
"I've got you, Noriko. Not alone anymore." His voice was soft, for her ears alone, and he held her until she seemed to pull or push back, before letting go. Then he smiled down at her, lopsidedly. "S'good to see you too, NoriNori."
Re: Getting Settled
"Oh my god, Remy," she said into his shoulder, fingers tightening against his skin. "I missed everyone so much."
Re: Getting Settled
"Not going anywhere, dat's for sure, okay?"
Re: Getting Settled
She's not letting go anytime soon, and if Remy feels her vibrating, almost trembling, Noriko's unlikely to admit it. But for the past months at home she's grown almost used to the frighteningly small current number of mutants, the two hundred that she could name and list without thinking, and as soon as she'd gotten past the shellshock of that she'd been here, alone, without anyone else who could understand.
Re: Getting Settled
One hand edged up and stroked her hair, and he smiled a little to himself.
Re: Getting Settled
"I want to go home, and there's no way to leave."
Re: Getting Settled
So he held her, and stroked her hair and back, and he remembered how his Tante Mae had done the same for him after he had come back from the tunnels. Noriko wasn't a child, just as he hadn't been one then, and he hoped she could take the comfort he could give. He pressed a kiss to her hair, and held her, and prayed for worlds where people didn't get lost in the chaos and noise.
"Can' take you home, chere', but as long as I'm here, you don' have to be alone."
Re: Getting Settled
"I'm glad you're here, Remy."
Re: Getting Settled
He raised an eyebrow. "Or you goin' to make me carry you dere, m'self?" He grinned as he teased her a little. He'd do it, for real if she needed it, and he hoped she knew that.
